Wonder how this will change names.
F.ex: Currently my name here is "Lady_Arete". Wonder if in the new forum we will have this option: "Lady Arete" without that _. ;P -

We don't want many AE noobs in the game
[/ QUOTE ]
Or you could spend some time actually teaming with them, and showing them different aspects of the game
[/ QUOTE ]
Would've but somehow those who enjoy farmage gets them first. -
I agree.. and that is the logic i've tried to use on those who announce farms.
However most of the responses have been met with redicule, mockery and nothing is done.
So Devs, Remove AE from the beginning zones, please (Atlas, Galaxy, Mercy). We don't want many AE noobs in the game or that the AE farmers lure the new blood away from the game with their short sighted goals... -
No, I do not roleplay without realising it...
I know I roleplay! ;P -
No to all 4.
As mentioned from another player.
"I want Bug Hunter!" ;p -
Ok Lawrence. Enjoy the weeks in the sunshine and see you when you get back.
-
Back from the future (Recently ofc as it is harder to get now then before.)
Master of Recluses Strikeforce (Yet to get it myself so wow)
"Liberator" Few have it and not possible until the Dev's make the Cathedral of Pain. So that would be the most WOW factor.
The badges that makes me got "envious" is the "5'th column Gladiator" (for reasons you may guess).
Leader, Empath and Immortal are three others (Gogo fellow Badger).
Well thats the list for now. -
Hmm... Well still love my little bug of the radio missions.
My radio-missions before a new issue somehow change into the new villaingroup.
I've had "loyal citizens" walking around my radio mission in Peregrine... and now I got Cimerorian Traitors. ;P -
Love how Glacier got made.
Makes me wish that someone one day could draw one (or both) of my most played chars (two of them). -

Either way, a few months ago nobody would have actually minded too much even if it was a rather large 'wall' of text. Atlas was populated with new toons, new players or random costume contests.
The point is, really, that the OP was doing something constructive that actually helps the game flourish, unlike the farming idiots that constantly spam the zone with "[Random Level]; Looking for farm team" rubbish...
I would rather be hit with a wall of text recruiting for a SG any day, over what is currently littering Atlas.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agree. Poor new players that come and meet that spam. I wish that MA building moved away from Atlas. It would help people come to terms and play the game through missions or sewer... rather then getting PL'ed.
But to OP, it all depends upon how many times each minute etc you shout out the broadcast announcement. I wish you good luck in getting the new recruits. -
Was'nt there, but so far I'm abit shocked. They told you to stop promoting for new members? sheesh.
And no.. its not a farming location, but those who farm/want Powerlevelling have taken over the location (grumbles). It is still new players zone!
Myself, i've had the riducule of several players and people telling me to shut it when I ask them to take farming and their requests to another zone. But even good arguments are sometimes wasted... meh.
(Hope I will not live in denial here.)
If you wrote the broadcast every minute or less, then I can understand them, but somehow I believe you did not.
Don't let the few of them discourage you.
Myself, I would rather have your broadcast there then the similar to this one "lvl [insert any low/medium lvl] [insertAT] want AE Farm Plox" or whatever the wording... -
Arc ID: #63175
Trouble in the Music Business
Description: A detective asks you to check up on two of his fellow detectives that has failed to report back. Something is not right in the music buisness.
Poster: I did think about a nightclub somewhere on the poster, but I'm open for any ideas/fancies that hit you. I look forward to see what you come up with. -
Heroishere
I can sympethise in loosing badges... (badge-wh... affordable friend here), but alot of these badges where just wasteful.
I'm more concerned about the Powerlevelling of new recruits, the constant spam in beginning zones for farm.
It just makes lesser quality players...
I was however shocked of the amount of badges that are getting lost, but meh...
It is ironic though to get badgers playing the MA they introduce lots of badges then take it away when they find the system did not work.
Oh well, hope you will reconsider. -
Avatea (or any Dev reading).
I do not know if this has already been mentioned (have gone through my excel sheet to see all the changes).. and Avatea if it has been responded to then I will find it out, if not please deliver the info to the proper person.
I found several badges NOT mentioned in his message to us all...
What is the fate of the rest of these badges? (also a little error on a certain consideration)
The entire line of Architect badges (Architect X, Architect XXV, Architect L, Architect LXXV and Architect C). They are not mentioned in Synapse's info.
Also:
Mission Seeker, Mission Investigator, Mission Detective, Mission Inquisitor, Mission High Inquisitor. They are not mentioned.
Also the badge "Virtual Destruction" is not mentioned, but since the rest of that line is scheduled for destruction and it is the first badge in the line I guess it stays?
Another badge:
"Virtually Unpredictable" is not mentioned in the list at all (both on those that exit the game and those that stays).
Also How on earth are you going to earn the "Admiring badge" in the future when "The Chosen one" has been removed. You are going to play a Devs choice... but now there will be perhaps no dev choice badge?
I'm interested in knowing that system, both as an author and as a badger.
Also you can get the "Critic" badge, but this badge comes from playing a certain amount of Hall of Fame badges... Which will be removed. Again, I would be interested to know more of the new system you are giving us.
I'm glad you removed some of these badges, but over 80 of all MA Badges? That was a wee bit over the top as many of them could be gained. A little in shock here, specially with the reason mentioned "farming". Yes, many badges would need farming, but most of the badges ingame do. So why take away some of the achivements of other players that love collecting badges?
(Do I wish the death of the most farm required MA badges, yes, those where simply boring. But those that it does not matter and are reasonable requirements... I have no trouble with those.) -
Well I would wish that they moved the servers to where the US servers are (not merging). Updated our startfile and allowed the US to play on EU and Eu on US.
Thus when we start up we get a list like this:
Choose your server:
(insert all US server names)
Defiant (Eu)
Union (Eu) (or/and even with the RP tag)
Vigilance (FR)
Zukunft (DE)
Perhaps even a spanish server.
Since the EU servers would be linked with the US then many Global names would be in need of change. however since there was no merger of the servers we will keep our names.
Feedback in the MA will be easy and non problematic.
And hopefully one of our test servers could be moved with us. This way we would not loose our veteran badges or rewards, bases or anything. We would be one. (ok except for the one fact that we still would have two forums, unless that too got linked up. And increased support for all times in the day .. etc..
Perhaps even giving a new badge "We are one" or "United" or something to all chars.
Well that is what I hope would happen. -
I try to craft all the recipes I got, if it seems worth it. Those that would cost more in salvage and crafting then I would be able to sell (normally) will either be deleted or sold as recipes.
Since the Devs made certain that brainstorm ideas converted into salvage (which is crafting in itself), is not counted towards the badge... I believe there is a lot of unused Ideas on chars. So I got to craft as much as I can anyway on one char... at the time. (Is that a grumble? yes) -
Well not had many players play my arc now. Guess the rush seems to have ended and the hard core one-mission players (you know the type) are the most heavy users of the MA.
Oh well, atleast my arc has a solid 4 now, and I've gotten great feedback from other writers.
So I'm starting to write another. This time, a villainious arc, with the possibility of more to come. Proofreading THAT one will be hard though as the contact have a speach impediment.
Also, from what I've gathered even e-mails in the old system did not work as properly as it should have during beta. And it is the issue of giving global tells to us and back to the US.
There are rumors of feedback getting sent to e-mail, but since the max amount of e-mails are 10, well some of the few that might make it over might be lost in all the letters.
(Boy that was a long sentence, gah) -
The swimming underwater in one of the cimerorian cave maps has been there since that zone and story was launched though.
-
Also there is a little tip for every MA creator. You can minimize the MA screen and thus be able to read the chatter that pops up on various channels. Including the Server going down for maintenence.
As The_Finnish say, if you have enabled autosave on, then it is not lost.
Save often is all I can say (I have had the same thing happening to me Heyman.) and I click alot on the Save button.
However due to some errors when it was in beta I am still reluctant to put on autosave... -
Statesman 4 prez.
It will be a paid expansion. Just like CoV was. So I expect a new disk or downloadable. -
(Noticing we did get a reply... Wohoo, making a quick list for the faq.)
What will the prize be when your changing side? Will you loose your badges/influence or will they be converted to the counterpart?
Will there be a new start sone?
Will there be new base items to fiddle with?
From the hints we have seen from Positron (When we worked at Cryptic we could do nothing about power customization), is this a feature that will come here? And does this mean a complete new graphical engine?
Hero AT can only go to Villain zones and vice versa if they have gone rogue, is this correct? Or will they be able to do so regardless?
We love costume sets, how many more will there be in this issue?
How much in Nemesis involved in this one? After all he has been the major villain in the last issues, even making Oreboros to prevent the coming storm. Is this the storm he wanted to stop or is this a new event after the storm has been stopped, that he could not forsee? Even if we have a sincere and Nemesis gone actual good in GoingRogue, Nemesis will never wholly be believed (pity).
In addition to 2 new powersets, will we also have more power customization in Going Rogue?
Can we get the Sybils outfit or something close (love that cloth)? I know not GR related, but had to try -

Awesome.
I like it.
And anyone who disagrees... go read the EULA. NC can do this.

^ This.
I like it too. It's partially restored my faith in the Devs.
I wonder if the mission-rating cartel on Sal's badgehunters channel will be in trouble - any channel mods might want to wrap that up asap. It certainly left a bad taste in my mouth seeing it justified as (and I paraphrase) "well the farmers have already wrecked the rating system, so it doesn't really matter that we're doing this to farm the badges". With those badges gone there'll be no need for it, and with other rating cartels and farming being hit hard as well (hopefully), MA ratings can go back to being about the quality of the story in the arc and how fun the gameplay is, instead of being about badges/farming or popularity contests.

Well then one can instead say: This weeks recommondations are... [insert names or arcs here].
Don't think a suggestion to play arcs should be punished or the forum posts about it here on this forum would get into problems as well. -
Thanks for talking with us War Witch. I appreciated the talk we had over in the Blue D Bar.
You poor poor woman (thinking of the research of all them one liners), but thanks they make me giggle.
Happy anniversary War Witch, may there be many more and even more fun moments. And yes... the Cimeroria music gives me a little chill down the spine when it hits in too. -
Aww, sorry to see you go Coin. (and moghedien and all the others)
Wishing you well and hope that the "awesomness that the cryptic Positron just hints at" (my words) will get you back.
