Hamidon - The Second Wave

Ok, so many of you will no doubt of heard that a Hamidon attempt went down over the weekend. Now first off my apologies for not being present, but a personal commitment came up that sadly I couldn't ignore.

As for saturday, whilst a lot of people left after the first Mito bloom, the strategy for the Hamidon was in the major part, a success and took down the Mito defences of Hamidon.

For the main event of course, we need to take out those defences three times.

For this, we will be announcing a date and time, with some preperation time of course to arrange a Hamidon attempt. Ideally we need players that understand the commitment to a raid and that we have to run the process essentially 3 times in order to take the big blob down.

Please stay tuned to this thread and to "Union Hamidon Raids" ingame for more information.

Operations will be conducted by Sgt. MP Lawrence, Lady Arete and myself.

in both cases i appear to have missed the word "more" after putting three... was trying to highlight that everyone needs to stick around after the first bloom lol

Oh dear and me without a space left for Hami raid chat.

Just a thought maybe start a thread, people can Leave a Global/character name in a post. This could help with group arrangement before the raid goes down.

I only say this after the hami raid 2 weeks ago, there were a few "Aux" teams without anyone looking after them, which was a majority of damage dealers and buffers.

Ok, Here we have it, next raid is scheduled for Sat 13th of June, hopefully get as good a turn out as last time, and maybe people will stay once the 1st bloom is down, we shall see,

Will be spending the Friday Night, and Most of Saturday, taking out GM's in PI so if any one feels like giving a hand, i shall be about somewere.

I'd definately be up for this. Free on saturday, too. When should we be there by?

How many hours (approx) does a hamiraid take?

Posted

That heavily depends on the strategies that we are following and if they succeed or not.
I hope that it won't take more than 3 hours, but that is only my estimation based by my survivability while tanking Hami since last try.

Might take more if people can't co-operate or get bored in the middle and start leaving.
No guarantees.

I can only guarantee you that I won't be from those that will leave in the middle (that is if we have entered the Hive by 6pm UK time).

failed again after 4.5 hours of work (not ounting the EoE farms)

we will need a sign up page for the next raid but i still believe that we can do this. also it can be better if we start this a bit earlier next time as we see this takes longer than we predicted.

thanks all for hard work and of course big thanks to sgt as he tried too hard to keep us on top of the thing all night long.

cya all next time

I promised not to leave in the middle.
I managed to keep that promise, even if time now is 2:45am, but I don't think that I will participate ever again if I don't see the full plan analyzed out in here first and everyone to agree with it.

Hami Raid Strategy

This would work good , but we need a better planning before the raid for some of the exact toons.

for example , we need 2 scrapper teams and 1 blaster team for the raid. but we got around 2.5 auxs yesterday.

and it was the loose yellow aggro which killed us , so we need better aggro control for the next round.

teams with this setups would be much better for the next raid. this is from the defiant raid thread:

The general make up of each team will be as follows;
Yellow teams : 1 Tanker, 1 Healer/Buffer, 6 Meele based.
Blue teams : 1 Tanker, 1 Healer/Buffer, 6 Blasters
Green teams : 1 Tanker, the rest as Controllers and Defenders.
There will also be another team (depending on numbers) with 4 Tankers and 4 Healers in. This team will take as much agro as possible while varies stages are being taken out.

green teams need at least 1 holds per characters which we have to hold them to damage out them. blue teams will need some good dps , which will be better if we got 1-2 kins to SB us for the good of the raid. 2 yellow teams would be much better again , but we have done it with 1 , so we dont have to got 2. but more the merrier. its much easier when we got yellows down. and I think its much better if we got a patrolling tanker team to got the loose aggro from mitos.

this is my 2 cents

Every half baked attempt people make means less and less hope in getting the staff. So the level of organization that goes into Defiants raids needs to be there. I also suggest using the PvP zones for temp powahs so that the teams don't "brawl Hami to death" and take forever over it, it means time preparing but Bloody Bay is no more than 10 mins solo, Warburg is no more than an hour teamed.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Sorry to hear about the Hamidon failure. Still, look on the brightside - at least you stayed connected long enough to take part! - Hopefully next time for me!.

And see you in a couple of weeks Sgt. .o/

That strategy talks about Shivans and Warburg's nukes...
Are you sure that this is what we follow?

Pity that Sgt is leaving...
Sorry mama to have connection problems.

Some heroes, managed to persuade me that only Defiant can do things that need precision, so until I see someone that is able to organize us ridiculously good, find people that commit to the purpose and don't turn Hamidon raid into a PuG, I don't think that I will participate again, except if I want to get my debt badges earlier.
