What would the general thought be on the spectral interface incarnate power for a mind/ff controller?
I'm toying with the idea of using it (the one with the 12% immob/75% dot) with the thought that I'd get more containment uptime with a chance to immobilize with every attack.
Is this a good line of thinking? I'd love to hear some opinions. -
Quote:Oh I wouldn't be too pessimistic about another MM primary even if BM sales are bad. What I WOULD count on if sales were bad however, is for another MM primary to be "cheaper" in production costs. No new rigging like the quadrupeds or new models. It would probably end up being something using existing in game assets with minimal modification needed to make them "new". That way they get something to sell for the same price as every other power set but with a fraction of the investment. We aren't likely to see another MM primary ever, if sells for BM didn't go as planned.
They're more likely to spend the time and resources on pet customization, which would open up a virtual plethora of options and further drive sells of the AT and 2 sets in the store!
That said, I do like the angry horde/medievil feel of this proposal.
That said... if BM does sell well, I'd expect there to be as much latitude given for development expenditure for future MM primaries. -
Another thing to that may exasperate the ambushes is if the ambush includes one or more Subjugators.
Subjugators have a nasty ability that summons 3 Subjugated Scryers. Not only does this give you more to fight but the Subjugator has another ability called Consume Scryer that does bad things. -
I recently combined some hami's with no issues... but just in case... you are trying to do this with a lvl 50 character and not a lvl 47 character yes? Cause at 47 you wont be able to combine lvl 50 anythings
Thats probably not your issue but it never hurts to check -
I'd like to see a more easily noticeable indicator like stalkers have with the "Hidden" text that shows up under the buff bar.
A generic buff icon like what shows up on the pet windo is just too easily lost amidst other buffs and frankly... I am sure many players collapse the buff bar cause it eats up valuable screen space. -
Corruptors have ranged primaries.
A ranged primary is not the same as an assault primary.
Also... consider that the support secondary for such an AT might not necessarily be duplicates of existing defender/corruptor sets. Due to the melee-esque nature of such an AT I wouldn't be surprised if this imaginary AT's "support" sets had more personal defense options built into it as well as support for a group. -
know what I wouldnt mind seeing?
An AT with a dom's assault set as its primary and a support set (like a corruptor) for their secondary...
Could even be introduced as a praetorian EAT
The idea of a mix of melee/ranged offense and support to provide defense to self/party is very appealing to me. -

Quote:I was compelled to make that pic... I just couldnt help myself ^_^Haha! When I typed that the thought (of that image) went through my head but it was quickly followed by "No, no one will make that connection. Besides its better than mispelling his name and lore freaks getting upset". I didnt feel like looking it up in the wiki.

Temp Powers I tend to use include:
Kinetic Shield - who doesnt like s/l defense?
Recovery Serum - I tend to find use in these on end heavy sets before SO's
Backup Radio - occasionally useful on my less offensive oriented characters
Ethereal Shift - I like having panic buttons without wasting power picks
Envenomed Dagger - regen reduction is always handy for tough opponents
Med Pack - some of less defensive characters find this power useful when inps run low
Plasmatic Taser - yay aoe
Hand Grendade - yay more aoe
Resuscitator - handy for teaming on characters who dont have a res.
Before Freedom I often made the jet pack for new characters till I chose a travel power. -
For me the alpha is the first thing I'd consider T4ing in most cases simply because it can affect so much about your character depending on the alpha you choose.
The destiny buff might be my 2nd choice since many of the destiny buffs dont get to perma status until T4 though if I am using clarion I might just t4 the Lore pet or Judgement next for more damage as that would likely have a higher overall impact for me. -
One thing to add to your damage is to slot damage procs in your first tier attack. Since you have to take it at creation and you want to use it alot to keep up Bruising having it slotted with damage procs (even if only the dmg proc from the taunt set) you can raise the potential damage value of that weakest of attacks.

Quote:I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion nor do I agree with it.Which simply tells you that keying the MM ATO to pets was an extraordinarily BAD IDEA from the get go.
I personally find nothing wrong with the set and I am actually quite happy with it. Yes even the set bonuses. But I'm weird like that.
-
My invuln tanker is built to be as sturdy as I can make her... I even plugged her psi hole with set bonuses... she's got 90% resist to s/l and 30-32% resistance to everything else... 50-52% when I have the might of the tanker proc stacked.
I wouldn't skimp on any of my passive resistance powers. Those coupled with invincibility's defense (along with about 30% static psi defense from set bonuses) makes my tanker extremely durable in any situation.
While I do have Unstoppable and I have used it once or twice when dealing with heavy exotic damage types, I don't need it often thanks to my broad spectrum defense/resistance and some hefty regen bonuses (my tanker regens about 52 hp/sec on top of everything else) -
I made an arc a long while ago... its a 5 mission arc I made when AE first came out. It's not a farm of any sort and is probably best played by a character at 30+
Arc Name: Starlight, Starbright
Arc ID: 419174
Arc Author: @Nic Mercy
it has an EB in it in case that matters. -
Occasionally I'll be doing things with my mastermind and become unsure of the state of bodyguard. Whether its mixed tactics between the pets or a command for one or all that might affect bodyguard.
I'd like to suggest a visual indicator that bodyguard is functioning even if its only the word "bodyguard" under the buff bar (much like the word "hidden" appears for stalkers)
Its a small change but a visual indicator is just a nice QoL feature to have. -
again there is really nothing wrong with some recharge in the set. It benefits a number of mm powers that require recharge and the set covers all the acc/dmg/end you will need anyways.
-
The MM ATO set be slotted into non-standard pet powers (which do benefit greatly from recharge) such as: Gang War, Hell On Earth, Soul Extraction, and Tornado
I think the idea was to make the set as versatile as possible. Besides... what else could they have? acc/dmg/end is all that the standard pets really benefit from. At superior values the set basically caps acc/dmg/end/rech so whats really the harm of the recharge being there? None that I can see. And the benefit is that sets that DO benefit from recharge get something out of it. -
I went with storm mainly since I have yet to have a real stormy but also for a few other reasons.
a) Concept... its a druid/nature master type of character who I also plan to get panther stealth for both travel and the notion of shapeshifting.
b) Personal Damage... I like dealing dmg myself as well as having pets with my MM's and the pseudopet nature (more static damage value unhindered by AT damage scales) of tornado and lightning storm let me dish out some significant damage on my own.
c) Recharge Intensive Pet Set... Tornado lets me slot the recharge intensive pet uniques for added protection for my pets. BM doesn't have a gang war-esque power.
d) Versatility... Storm has a varied toolkit. Heals, buffs, debuffs, hard and soft controls
It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it works for me! -
I've been on guardian almost exclusively since launch and never regretted it.
-
I like using 4 Kinetic Combat and adding the quad from Mako's Bite set to round things out. If you have boosters... +5ing everything helps too
-
Considering that I've been getting new powersets with every CONTENT patch as part of my subscription just like I've always gotten I am not at all unhappy with how things have worked out since Freedom. Getting all these "buy me nao!" powersets in between the content issues is awesome!

I dont believe the tooltip can be seen from the email window nor does the market description list as I recall. Your only option is a link or having the physical enhancement on hand.
-
Quote:all store bought enhancements have always been proc per minute as far as I knowWhere do you find the PPM of storebought procs? That would be handy thing to know. Are all storebought ones PPM instead of procpercast now? I just bought a Posi proc a week or two ago and haven't used it yet.
also the ppm is found on the enhancement tooltip itself
I'm not sure how you can see before you buy unless you have a tooltip link handy
