I'm Back! Help me!

So...I just re rolled a new hero this weekend....after being away from the game for 5+ years!!!

I'm still in contact with a few folks from Infinity in RL that played back in the day....but no one I know still plays. I think I'm looking for a new home. Which server is the best for finding teams?

I'll probably be playing mostly 8pm-12am time frame on the east coast. (8-10pm mostly)

I like to team up...I'd like to go through all the content again, and then we'll see if I do end game stuff or roll another hero.

Infinity's still fairly good. (Actually, most servers will be.) Check down in the "Servers" section, find and join the globals and ask around for who plays when you do.

A lot's been added in 5 years.

First, as D_R said: Welcome Back !

Second, from a recent similar thread (I just love repeating myself...)

The "right" server is the one where you're going to have fun...

• If you can find anyone you know already playing the game (either in game or from the forums), check with them
• I would also suggest checking the section of the forums dedicated to each server, as I firmly believe that the people most present on these forums are also the most active in-game. As a downside, I crossed a few servers off my list (and moved some characters elsewhere) after running across some unsavory forum dwellers...

• It's not the most-heavily populated server, but that just means you're going to come across less doofuses per square mile than on, say, Freedom (the percentage of said doofuses are roughly the same across servers, only the number and density differ)
• From my experience, we have no shortage of game-savvy and helpful people (the Mentor Project originated from Protector...)
• Player traffic is usually at its highest between 8PM - 10PM Eastern
• We have a fair number of active and thriving Global Channels. Using these Global Channels is the easiest way these days to find a team (and that goes for every server).
• We haz (had?) a Puma !

I knew I was asking a question that probably gets asked alot...but I mean...you can't expect me to look all the way back to a thread that was started YESTERDAY!!!! (OK, maybe I should have seen it)

But thanks for the replies! I might stick with Infinity and see if anyone I used to team with is still around. I does kind of feel like home, but If it was a ghost town I didn't want to stick around.

And as others have said.

Global channels.

That's by far the way to find people to team with on most every server now. Without that, most servers might feel ghost-townish. With it, many servers should have enough traffic to satisfy you.

There are 2 servers which are considered High Population:

- Virtue : Mostly west coast prime time, also the unofficial RP server

- Freedom : Mostly east coast prime time, not RP friendly, but has a PvP community

The rest are fairly low, Union having a decent population still as it was the highese polulation EU server before the EU/US server merge
