Quote:I've found that Bots are nice with Trick Arrow.I look forward to trying TA on a MM when I get back. I'm just not sure which pets to pair it with.
Lots of AoE -Res, OSA + AoE Burn patches from Assault Bot and the defence and heals from the Protector Bots come in handy. -
1) Isn't there an Ignore feature?
2) Helpful comments can be helpful... (Such as maybe refering a tanker to his mez protection toggle)
3) Profanity is filtered by default...
4) ...
5) I guess if more things needed intricate (WoW style) tactics then this might apply...
6) Mobs don't work like that in this game, they run back to where they were stood when pulled (Unless they are part of a special event, such as the winter one)
7) If you leave a PuG, then it's no big deal PuGs have people going in and out of them all the time...
8) Most fighting happens in missions rather than street sweeping.
9) Ehh...
10) ... -

I beat Trapdoor earlier on my Crab, kept my usual settings (+0/x4)
*Yawn* fights getting to him were quite simple and fighting him was cake (I walked up to him, shot him a few times beat him and never fought a clone, as the only one I noticed had spawned out of line of sight from me... or was killed by my pets I don't pay that much attention when fighting on my Crab) -
Put a Steadfast Protection Res/+3% Defence in Charged Armour.
Put Soulbound Allegience into Assault Bot.
Frankenslot Protector Bots with a healthy amount of Damage, Defence and a Normal IO of Endurance reduction.
To make money - Do AE missions, get tickets, use tickets on recipie reward rolls, sell recipies. Also do tips, get lucky purples drop, sell purples. Is how I make money (I also get the recipies I need in my builds cheaper, and get most of the salvage cheap from using tickets instead) -
All I can notice at the moment is that you have no accuracy in Provoke, unlike the Tanker and Brute taunts provoke is not autohit so you'll want some accuracy in it.
-
Alpha slots don't affect global stats. Instead they act like an enhancement is going into every power that it is possible to go into.
Also only a very small amount of the 1st tier is unaffected by ED, meaning that if your powers already had decent slottings of recharge each power wouldn't get much benefit. -
I think the logical way to do this is have a PBAoE power giving the same normal affects then creating a psuedo pet at each ally hit that gives a smaller PBAoE up to the maximum of 10 targets.
-
Seems like there is too much self affecting stuff.
Especially since it seems that Shout of Command and (I think) Charge become perma with 3 regular recharge IO's and Hasten (Not including Charge's recharge bonus)
If you notice that other buff sets don't have alot of self affecting buffs and what ones they have either don't do much, are only a heal or cannot be made perma easily or even at all. -
Quote:I'm fairly aware of that, most of my characters are Masterminds, I've tried all primaries (Except Mercs, I can't get a concept or combo I like)Let me say this having done Ninja/Poison to 50. My advice dont do it. Its the hardest possible mastermind combination in the game next to Ninja/Trick Arrow.
Ahh, another "MM's should meatshield not Tankermind" person... Sometimes it is more efficient for the Mastermind to be the one to get attacked because it's easier to keep the pets and yourself alive when everyone is taking small amounts of damage due to bodyguard rather than having pets take large chunks, especially with ninja's when 3 of them can and will get one shotted.
That's implying that Tough/Weave and bodyguard mode are mutually exlusive... I would be better to use both to keep myself and my pets alive. -
Not a stealth change - http://eu.cityofheroes.com/en/news/a...pril_2010_live
Quote:General - NPC critters that are resurrected will be unselectable while going through the resurrection animation.

I might use this... I often have my market 1 off full with salvage I don't want and can't be bothered to sell on for 1 inf, bids and stuff I'm storing because I don't have a base.

46.5% S/L defence... Thats just over softcap.
37.2% Energy defence is a bit under.
Softcap is 45% defence. A small purple will be fine in most high energy based tricky situations. -
Quote:Well, if i remember correctly DP can only do about 30% of their damage as toxic, with the other 70% being lethal. Meaning most of the time my damage will still be significantly reduced.Dual Pistols has pretty sizable Toxic damage.
You'd be better off with Negative Energy. We need Dark Blast for Blasters, yo!
Negative is what made leveling up my Warshade a pain, whenever a group resisted Negative I did very little damage.
Quote:But aren't many Cold attacks mixed with smashing damage? And the ice swords do some lethal don't they?
I thought Elude was positional defence? Meaning it would still affect poison. -
13.5% S/L and 9% Energy.
21.1% S/L and 14% Energy with 3 Defence SO's. -
My Archery/Energy Blaster made me start to dislike (Not hate) her, too many things resist Lethal and my RoA kept annoying me... I'll probably just take a break for a bit though...
My Warshade, I just can't get Eclipse... It seems like the thing I need to be able to do anything that isn't staying in Dwarf form 24/7. Then there are Voids/Quantums/Cysts that are just not fun (Note: Going around a corner to find a double Vengence'd Void is not a great surprise)
My Stone/Kinetic Tanker got deleted at 32 I did not like Granite and the Kinetic animations were not as amusing as I hoped they would in Granite.
Most of my Masterminds. I like Traps. My pets dislike staying under the FFG's Bubble.
My DB/Regen Scrapper, I like DB, I like her name (Serrated Edge one of my first characters) I like my costumes (1 costume for each origin) but Regen... I never played when IH was a toggle but comparing /Regen to a /Willpower Brute I have is rediculous... My Scrapper needs basic difficulty to live, my Brute was on x2 and increasing since level 8...
A ton of team orientated characters that I have deleted (I came back after a break and made them because I like to play healers and tanks in other MMO's) I probably would have liked them if there were more teams on the servers I play on (I get 2 maybe 3 teams a week if I'm lucky. Yes I am clicking on Looking for Any Team from the moment I log in until about 3-5 hours later when I'm bored)
I did used to hate my SoA because he was stuck in the teens... Without inherent fitness and having to play "Huntsman" he got old... fast. But after power leveling him to the late 30s when I had some pets and was Crab spec I managed to get him to 50 quite nicely though I've only played him at 50 for a few days (The weekend before I19) I managed to get 3 purple recipies and think I may use him for getting purples on my other characters... (My brother keeps mentioning how lucky I am when ever he sees me play him...) -
Hmm, I may try an Ice/Kin Corruptor...
Not very resisted damage and when it does get resisted (CoT and Crey I think resist cold) I've got a bucket load of +damage to hit them with... -
So after getting fed up of tips on my Archery/Energy Blaster due to everyone and their cat resisting most of my damage I started to think about what powersets I could use to not get resisted as much and be able to keep my full damage output on the variety of enemy groups encountered in tips and other missions.
I'm thinking it may be toxic but we don't get primarily toxic powersets (Our only toxic damage is in Spines, Thorns, Widows and Demons)
So I guess the next up are Psionics and Fire... Psionics I think are only resisted by Arachnos and Fire I think is just CoT Behemoths? Though Fire Melee also does some lethal damage (Due to the swords)
Anyone know the least resisted damage type and what groups resist it? If I know that I'd be able to narrow down the powersets I can use for a new alt (Probably a fire blaster) or I'll get back on an old one (Mind/Psi dom, that I stopped playing because I felt useless in the team I was on) -
I guess an Energy Melee character with specifically coloured pom poms would be the first "Starforce" I would think of.
Energy Melee/Invulnerability Tank/Scrapper/Brute.
Dark/Dark Tank/Scrapper/Brute/Defender.
Kinetic/Willpower Tank/Scrapper/Brute.
Energy/Anything Defender/Blaster/Corrupter.
Radiation/Anything Defender/Blaster/Corrupter.
Those are the only ones that I can think of...
Hope this helps. -
I've been noticing this on my blaster... Also I'm glad I'm not playing my Crab much at the moment (9 toggles... Including all of Leaderships long animation ones)

Any kind of Stalker I found hard to build because of trying to get AS, BU, Placate, a decent out of stealth attack chain and good enough defences to survive past the first kill. Ninja Run and Inherent Fitness helps my builds, unfortunatly it doesn't help my dislike of the Stalker playstyle...
Also my Achery/NRG Blaster was quite tight, I like to be ranged with a couple of melee attacks to decimate things that have the nerve to get up in my face.
My Crab was tricky, true my fitnessless build worked pre-I19, the amount of blues I munched through was not funny (An entire tray every group or 2 including combining what I picked up)
Though I do have some builds that completely run out of things to pick up (No primary/secondary/pools that I want while already being at my 4 available pools) now that I don't pick up fitness... Such as a few of my MM's, Some Kins and some high end using characters/high tohit ones that don't need all or any of leadership... -
Go Black Scorpion if you want/need a shield.
Go Mu if you want an AoE immobilize with -knockback on it.
