  1. You can do [Windfall] for some, but that's generally not all that helpful as the Real Numbers system, last I checked, doesn't show any data for those types of powers.

Costume creator (or icon/face/trainer costume editor, of course) is the only way to preview costume pieces, ATM. Hopefully that's just temporary...

Because you already have 'em unlocked (I believe based on reward tier).
  3. There are two methods to fix that error:
The slightly more intrusive method that NCSoft should have done:
Open regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\Coh and change Auth to 64.25.36.88 . Close regedit, and you're done.

The always do a manual override method:
Append -auth 64.25.36.88 to the target/command to directly launch it (after -project coh).

Personally, I think the first is the less brain-dead method, and that Paragon should have just updated the registry entry when it changed. Instead, they opted to screw up everyone with shortcuts to directly launch the game. Also, why on earth do they use a fixed IP address instead of a DNS address?
  4. I don't see any issues with the color (although, I use the Villain-skin for the board, maybe it sucks on the lame-*** hero skin).

You'd only be "forum cartel" (which doesn't exist, btw) if you were already forum cartel status... Fairly certain that's still based entirely on post count.

    Now what?

You mean the mayhem mission? You have to complete 3 regular newspaper missions in Port Oakes, and then the Broker will offer you one.

Most other levels it's after 6 missions, IIRC, but it's much faster for the lowest level.

And for those curious: You could get them by being Exemplared to a level 45 in the hive on a 50 when the raid was just about to end (not sure how high the other person could be and still get a +1 - +3). They fixed this issue quite a while ago (pretty sure before the change to the SSK system).

    What happened?

Bigger than you remember... you mean more than 8 people? Sounds like you joined a League, possibly for an Incarnate Trial.

As was already said, the Fitness power pool was made free to everybody at level 2 (if you already had any of it on a character, you had to respec to gain it for free at level 2). Travel powers can be taken at level 4 on all characters, and there's a new 5th tier power in each of the travel pools (requires two picks in the pool before to get, and to be level 14+).

You might as well forget everything you knew from before you left... at best it won't help you, and at worst it'll actively hurt you (such as the pre-ED idea of how enhancements work). Hell, SOs are old hat these days.

Oh, and Architect Entertainment (design your own custom story arcs). This thread could list stuff for... quite a long time.
  8. You never outlevel IOs.

The color just says the "rarity" of that specific IO.

See ParagonWiki's article on Invention Origin Enhancements.
  9. FYI: You'd have to pay for an invention license to be able to use any IOs on a free* account (which would work out to $2/month). I'd suggest just going with SOs.

    * A high enough preem account has permanent access to the invention system.... but that's several years of playtime in vet rewards time!
  10. Personally, I was leaning towards making an emp defender as a slave (thinking mostly about late-game, though). AB + PowerBoosted Fortitude + 2x RAs is quite hard to top! I'd also considered going with Sonic/, due to the nice +Res shields as well as the -Res toggle aura for your 'main'.

I don't exactly see any options (at least so far) that would push this into the territory of crazy performance (at least without being able to dual box very well!).
  11. Wouldn't splitting some of Regen's regen off into HoT have the adverse side effect of it not being impacted by +HP (such as Dull Pain)? It seems like that would result in a minor nerf to Regen's regeneration-ish abilities if the HoT was calibrated for base HP.
  12. Positron, when asked about 'Staff Fighting' during the recent UStream broadcast, has reported that he knows of no fighting going on among the staff at Paragon.

(notice his clever avoidance of answering the question, effectively confirming the existence of the set)
  13. If you're going to include those, you might as well throw in the Rocket Board
  14. There's also the tech wings, the Celestial wings (not overtly mechanical, but could call them energy wings), and a few others if you're willing to include ones as being potentially bio-mechanical.

Edit: And the Rocket Boots as mentioned by Chyll, plus there's the Piston Boots (although those don't provide an animation for continual lift, just when you leave the ground).

  16. Before you can go Hero, you must already have gone Rogue and be a Rogue. You can't skip over being Rogue to get to Hero from Villain.

    Quote:
How does this work? I need to get 10/10 tips then do 1 more and I become a rogue or I become a hero? Which one?
You'll be a Rogue if it's the Rogue meter you've filled up.

They did move the level requirements down

(if they didn't, you'd have been seeing a riot by now )
  18. Kitsune Knight

    Shadowmeld

You'd need to go full Villain to be able to unlock them via the Patron arcs at level 35. Only Villains and Rogues can do Villain contacts (and to get to Rogue you've got to go through Villain).

Most of the Villain arcs are absurdly mild... you'd spend most of your time fighting Villains, anyways.
  19. I believe the best way is to convert to HVMs, and then roll for the guaranteed high sells* (like LotG +Recharge and others), and then sell those on the market, using the inf you gather to then buy whatever you're wanting (the HVM price for purples/pvp IOs are incredibly high!).

    * There was a thread about the random rolls, I think that might work out to being more profitable in the long run... can't recall exactly off the top of my head.

    Question

    Answer:
    Click and drag!

Also, ParagonWiki is the best source for information... even the game says so! (seriously, one of the loading screen tips says so!) Bookmark it, love it*, live it.

    * Making love to it is optional
  21. Not a chance in hell of the 2ndaries'* levels being adjusted down...

But if the Devs do go crazy, I would support it if it meant I could skip web granade and many of the other crappy tier 1s!

    * Because "seco" is too many characters, apparently!

CoH is, in short, using a Linux Windows-environment emulator. It cut the TTM down massively but, it's anything but an OSX client.

Making comments about OSX or saying to buy a 'real' computer is just flat out trolling, and not productive in the slightest.

At the moment, the only way to tell is to try to buy it and see if it succeeds. Items you already have you can't buy again (note: stuff you can access for free while VIP, but must by when Preem, you can still buy!)

They've said that in the future the show will show what you've already purchased and what you haven't... but, for now, we've just got something really basic. All in due time, my good chum!

    Yes, cumulatively.

    Quote:
, and do the bonus points count towards the 1,200?
Nope. Only points you pay for count towards the "1,200". Mine you, each time you get bonus points (1/month) you should be getting a reward token anyways from being subscribed (and, once they fix it, you should be getting all those tokens when your subscription renews). Plus, 1/year subscribed (I'm not sure if that's that's supposed to be rewarded in advanced or on the actual day).

    Quote:
Does it count your previous purchases or only each individual one?
It goes by a running total, meaning you will get your reward tokens if you buy 400 points ($5 worth) a bajillion times over.

I'd be nice if I could just put everything I want in the cart and it'd tell me everything I'd be getting. d:
It'd be nice if we could know we if we already bought something before we try to buy it a second time I'm sure they'll get around to making this patently obvious in the market eventually, but right now it's still got quite a lot of ground for them to cover.

(I skipped the parts about $100 \ $50 + 2($15) and how many tokens you'd get because I'm too lazy to fire up the game to check the numbers... plus, I'm supposed to be writing some code... there's only so far before 'slacking' becomes 'not even trying' )
