Multiboxing Questions

Hi guys don't post much,

Just looking for some advice in terms of builds and ATs for a multiboxing setup I am planning when freedom is released to the public. I was thinking of making a few free accounts with all similar power sets and ATs and paying for only my 1 VIP account.

Then In terms of the slave accounts powers/AT I am torn between dom/Troller or def/cor. I am looking for mostly utility power sets such as being able to hold mobs or having good debuff and healing capabilities.

For those who are curious why I am doing this, just wanted to make soloing for me a little bit quicker and in certain cases challenging. It certainly makes thing harder controlling a few accounts but going to try it.

You won't be able to make a Controller on a non-VIP account unless you've purchased the unlock for the Archetype (Trollers and MMs are gated behind the Market for non-VIPs).

In retrospect I was pretty much leaning towards them anywho. The debuffs is what I like the

most out of corruptors and defenders, also cor get pretty good damage capabilities, might

actually be a cool thing for me


Now on to the power sets, not too sure which one to pick. Debuffing and healing is what like the slaves do the most. Not sure which ones to pick though.


Any suggestions if can?

Personally, I was leaning towards making an emp defender as a slave (thinking mostly about late-game, though). AB + PowerBoosted Fortitude + 2x RAs is quite hard to top! I'd also considered going with Sonic/, due to the nice +Res shields as well as the -Res toggle aura for your 'main'.


I don't exactly see any options (at least so far) that would push this into the territory of crazy performance (at least without being able to dual box very well!).

Cool emp and sonic defender? Nice combo, I have to agree with you then the heals and the shields are all to good to pass up.

When I was leveling up my WP/SS tank I had a plant/sonic following me around. Worked nicely.

I've also had an earth/rad troller that was helpful with dual boxing.

If controllers aren't an option, I'd probably do a Rad/* defender, maybe Rad/Sonic (or corrupter flavor) or maybe a pain domination corrupter.

If you're only bringing bots, bring a bubbler, sonic, emp and thermal, 3 fenders and corr: Bubbler and sonic for the PBAoE bubble and sonic's disruption field, emp for the heal and the thermal for forge... just a first impression. And if you're feeling really frisky, might as well put an SBer in there.

Man soo many possible combinations, thanks for the tips guys, going to do some research of some slotting for the slave bots. Might just use generic IOs for the process to make things cheaper!

FYI: You'd have to pay for an invention license to be able to use any IOs on a free* account (which would work out to $2/month). I'd suggest just going with SOs.



* A high enough preem account has permanent access to the invention system.... but that's several years of playtime in vet rewards time!
