You can do [Windfall] for some, but that's generally not all that helpful as the Real Numbers system, last I checked, doesn't show any data for those types of powers.
Costume creator (or icon/face/trainer costume editor, of course) is the only way to preview costume pieces, ATM. Hopefully that's just temporary...

Windfall increases your Inf gain by 25%. (I don't think it does anything for Prestige) It also increases (doubles?) your chances of drops. Whatever drops you can get.
So yes, increased chances of getting recipes (including purples), inspirations, enhancements, and if you're level 50 and have done Mender Ramiel's arc (or otherwise unlocked the Alpha slot), Incarnate drops (shards from anything that doesn't con grey and threads from things in Incarnate trials).
The benefit of using Windfall lasts for one hour.
Haven't checked windfall, but if you click on an item, it brings up a moderately detailed window and explains what it does.
And as far as I know, yes, gotta use the tailor to preview costume items (that and check the pages on paragonwiki.com)

There seem to be a bunch of new powers available both in the market and as veteran rewards (e.g Windfall). Is there a place to see what exactly it is that they do?
Similarly is there a way to see costume pieces in the market or do you have to be in the character creator to see them? Thanks.
