Why would you have 2 CPs on an Electric Tanker when Power Sink is just around the corner (lvl 26 for Tankers probably)? Even Brutes who usually spend more endurance than Tankers since they never stop attacking find CP useless with El. Armor. Same for Energy Aura Brutes.
If you need 2 CPs (or even one) with Power Sink recharging in 30 seconds (slotted up) you're doing something wrong. My Stone/Elec Brute is an end pig and she's still 35 so I have P. Sink slotted with 1 recharge and have no more end problems whatsoever. -
[ QUOTE ]
Has a powerset ever changed (as in powers swapped out) when it was ported to another AT?
[/ QUOTE ]
That I can think of, besides the Stalker changes, Fire Melee for Scrappers and Brutes.
Anyhow if Elec Armor for Tankers/Scrappers get something actually useful instead of CP there will be hordes of Brutes and Stalkers screaming... -
I tp'ed a lot of people in the zones lol. But I was 'nice', I gave a warning:
Me: 'Heroes stop camping our base or you'll get droned'
Someone: 'lol [censored]'
*zing*
I usually had to use BU to get it done and had 2 accs in my TP Foe. But the novelty wore off soon. -
You're not really softcapped (44.8% melee, 47.3% ranged and 41.6$ AoE) when you set Phalanx Fighting to zero allies.
Don't bother enhancing PF. It's a static 3.75% bonus to you when no allies are in range and slotting it won't change that.
Besides, NEVER SKIP TRUE GRIT. It's a 20% hp bonus fully slotted and some exotic resistance to boot.
Here's a softcapped build I put together quickly (and with Build Up to boot):

I have a 50 ElM/SA Brute. I hate the single target damage. Fire doesn't have this problem.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I agree it is abysmal on Brutes, I've tried several times and couldn't stand it. Stalker side it's a different animal though. I would rank it between Dark and EM (mainly because of EM's animation nerfs)- mainly because of LR. The simple fact that LR doesn't break Hide allows me to LR into the middle of a group and pop off Thunderstrike (thereby getting 100% ST crit) or an AS before they get up. That is a HUGE benefit to single target damage for a Stalker. Ad in the quick animations and recharges on CB, HP and CI combined with the Stalker's increased Crit chance and it cranks out more ST than people think.
On Scrappers Spines is still king in AoE and I would still rank Fire slightly higher simply because of the extra DoT damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, the TS crit is very nice for a Stalker. I still wouldn't rank it above EM because EM has attacks that simply can't be rivaled when taking hard targets. I admit I'm a bit biased towards EM, but (especially for Stalkers) EM is the king of burst, and sustained burst too, even after the changes to the powerset. That alone is reason enough to put it in the top imho (with dark melee). I mean, look at the damage EM's attacks put out
And I'd still rank elec above Fire in AoE damage, because it has three great AoEs (TS, CI and LR) while Fire has FSC and the meh Fire Breath (which can be compared to Jacob's ladder), leaving only FSC as a ZOMGBBQ AoE. Plus in Mid's, even with the DoT, T-Strike shows more damage than FSC (I compared Brutes since they're the only ones with the sets).
And Imo elec should be better than fire anyways for AoE, Fire is a beast for ST damage. -
[ QUOTE ]
I guess the real question is if Lightning Rod will allow criticals? I've heard that Shield Charge doesn't allow criticals so for a contemplated Ela/Shield that will be something to really consider.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, this isnt 'the real question'. It doesn't crit on Stalkers, it doesn't crit EVER. -
Boy that's a bad build.
1) Shadow Punch has 22% accuracy.
2) Dark Regen has no acc, no endred, very little recharge...
3) Siphon Life, your second best attack, not only is slotted exclusively as a heal, but it doesn't have almost any accuracy either.
4) Death Shroud with 15% end reduction... Hmmm.. Okay...
5) Soul Drain with 26% recharge... That's not going very well dude.
6) I'd maximize or get at least 75%ish recharge on Dark Consumption.
7) ZOMG you skipped Midnight Grasp! -
Sorry Bench but it doesn't lag 'just under' dark melee for ST damage. Stalker Elec's saving grace is Assassin's Shock. Comparing to other sets it still is underperforming in ST damage. It's WAY below DM and EM to say the least.
Seriously, having played an ElM Brute to 50, the ST damage is abysmal. I was sapping bosses before I killed them (and my secondary wasn't ElA). With a whole lotta fury.
Add a tier 9 that can't be used in a regular attack chain, as awesome as it is (L. Rod) and you find yourself lacking in ST.
The good news is that the set is a solid AoE performer, I <3 Thunderstrike and Chain Induction on my Brute and of course L. Rod. With those three I'd say it probably edges out Fire Melee in AoE. Spines, I have no idea since they have Quills. -
Well imho the claws produce a kinetic shockwave that damages the enemy. Doesn't make much sense but it's the best I could come up.
-
I've been quite pleased with my Fire/Invul, now at 35. He'll eventually have capped S/L def with one enemy in range and 36% E/N - if I want to solo an AV I can just herd a buncha minions to softcap energy/neg. And has Aid Self too.
I wouldn't call him the 'ultimate build' because I wasn't able to get fire/cold to a significant number to be able to softcap it with invincibility, but a very solid toon that is the closest a scrapper can get to a Tanker (imho). -
He was being sarcastic... He recommended stone armor lol
-
[ QUOTE ]
That'll teach you to be helpful and informative next time
[/ QUOTE ] -
Well my ELA brute usually can tank, but I consider that's due to the fact she's Stone Melee. Fault is so full of win I started tanking on my early 20s. And the KD from the mallets too.
But I suspect she'd get wrecked on an ITF where the mobs have kb protection (haven't played her in like forever, she's 38). -
[ QUOTE ]
i was really hopping for spines =( i guess claws is almost as nice. =) least we get to see stoner backflips
[/ QUOTE ]
I was hoping for Spines too...
Granite+Quills would rock! And backflipping the same way with Ripper -

You could do it that way or 4 Performance Shifter in each. Skipping the Rech/Acc and the Tri.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is what I do. endmod, endmod/rech, endmod/acc and the chance for +end. -
Only procs each 10 seconds, I find it a waste. YMMV.
-
Abysmal ST damage, good AoE (not ZOMG great becuase L.Rod is on a 90 sec recharge).

I agree, that's what has stopped me from making a regen till now. It's so fugly.

This. Not to mention your lulzy slotting in your best attacks (Siphon Life and M. Grasp).. and no self-heal! And useless pet uniques on an unenhanced pet! Finally, no Placate...

Another lethal set that's almost a carbon copy of an existing Stalker set while everybody gets something completely different? Yeah I'd prefer Fire Melee for Stalkers. Even Ice Melee would do it. -
nah I mean, now you don't even need a team to farm, AE or not.
