Just bought a Glad Armor +Def proc. Quick and easy, no problems whatsoever. Much love. <3

Do the stalkers that you're seeing have Stealth and the Stealth IO? There's no way you can see a stealth-capped stalker with just Heightened Senses. :/

This is the wisest thread I've seen in weeks. I don't know how I feel about that.

Quote:Dom will win just about every time, honestly. With the exception of like a Thermal or something, Controllers just can't do enough damage to take a Dom out before they die. In regards as to what you should roll, it depends on what you want to do. For zone or team arena, I'd go with /Fire for the damage output. For 1v1 in arena or Fite Klub in zones, I'd go with /Psy. If you slot one of those properly they can shred through a Regen scrapper. GL/HF. <3hey ppl was jwing which whould win in a fight ice toller or a ice dom . but to my Q i really want a ice Troller or Dom but i don't no what secondary to take if i go troller or dom also, i have heard that ice/storm is good is that true (if so good i already have him made
). but iv heard that dom are better for pvp when i said they cant be they die too fast . so overall heres the recap
1.Who whould win in a fight (Ice )Dom or(Ice)Troller
2.if i did go Ice troller is it True that Ice/Storm is good for pvp and if not what the best with Ice/
and 3. is it ture that doms die fast in pvp form your view and do You think they are better pvp wise than a troller

Quote:I'm pretty sure that kid said they only died to scrappers when it was more than one. Read closer and check your facts pl0x.Also, when two scrps alone are attacking you, heal decay is gonna nerf your heals, so your story about easily healing yourself against scrp crits doesn't hold up if you're fighting multiple scrps. Maybe in Sirens you have a good ole time against lvl 35 scrps, thats not gonna happen in RV. Smells like BS, mixed in with haterade
..Maybe you don't understand how terrible a lot of Scrappers are, but the scrappers I fight? About 1 in 8 has taunt. :l -

Quote:This is where you are wrong, sir.I have decided I want to try PvP, it sounds really fun and exciting.
Quote:So to start it off I was wondering, this will be my first toon for PvP, should I make a blaster or a scrapper? What would be better to start off my PvP experience?
Psy/EM or Fire/EM. They're both easy to play and do good damage. -
Quote:Personally, I would suggest Fire/. A good majority of what you'll be fighting in RV are going to be Blasters, and I'd say 90% or more of them will have Hibernate. I play a Dark/Cold Corr as my main, and the DoT from Gloom has gotten more kills than I can count after a Blaster hits Hibernate expecting to be invincible. The DoT from fire will work in the same way, except with even better damage than dark blast.I will go with /Therm... Now I'm just stuck on sonic/ or fire/... I hear all these good things about sonic, but it seems that file also does well. I guess its a battle between damage/snipe or -resist. Which one takes advantage of a cor's inherit in PvP more so then the other?
I'd say this is going to be especially useful in a few days when Going Rogue hits.. The only archetypes that won't have access to Hibernate will be Brutes and Tankers (With the exception of Ice Armor Tanks), as well as Epic Archetypes. -
Quote:I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, probably because I'm going on my third straight day without sleep. Are you trying to rely on the recharge proc to help you achieve perma-dom?Please, pick apart my logic.
I'm building a Grav/Energy permadom, with permahaste. I plan to spam powerbolt enhanced with the +recharge proc and the Apocolypse set's +Neg Dmg proc.
Is it feasible?
If so, you can't rely on spamming the +Recharge proc too much. That proc has a cooldown on itself. Couldn't tell you the actual number, but I seem to recall it being either 10 or 15 seconds. Even if you spammed it and it went off two or three times in a row, you wouldn't get the effect after the first time if it was still in the original's cooldown phase. -
Noooot really. If you want something that's good in both PvE and PvP (and want /Thorns), go either Mind/Thorns or Earth/Thorns. Mind is probably the better of the two for PvP, but it seems like 80% of PvP Doms are Mind. :/

They do still drop in arena matches. That's how a lot of people PvP farm. Set up a 30 minute match with about six players, and everyone takes turns killing each other.
-
Quote:Yes, you get them by defeating other players. They drop in all PvP zones, as well as arena matches. You do not have to be level 50, they're like any other recipe drop and will drop at your level.while we are on the subject... just how the hell do you get one of those IO's anyway? If I understand correctly, you have to defeat another player... but when and where? Do they only drop in zones? Do you have to do it in RV or can you get them in SC as well? Does your toon have to be level 50 to begin with.. Oh hell.. is there just a thread on the whole thing Im missing???

Sold and gone. Thank you very much. <3
-
Okay, so I had this sold.. But then the buyer fell through. They had misread the post and thought it was for blueside. Guess it's up for sale again. The highest bid at the point when it sold was 2.65b, so I'll take that or the best offer I guess.

My main PvP toon is a Dark/Cold Corr. Yeah, you're going to need Phase Shift. People automagically hate you because you floor their recharge and dramatically drop their Def/Res, and like it was said above, they'll kill you for easy points if you lack a panic button. As a Sonic I'd say it's especially important; At least with Dark/* you get a self heal. Plus, it's fun to kill those emps that think they're so invincible because they can Absorb Pain and then Phase Shift away. ;]
Good luck. <3 -
I have a Dark/Cold at 50, and have the nuke. However, that was in my own opinion a mistake. I don't have anymore vet specs and am too poor to buy a respec recipe right now, so I took it out of my tray and don't think about it anymore. The -ToHit is good and all, but you're a Corruptor and really shouldn't be taking the brunt of the aggro anyway, if you have a good brute on your team. All you should be worried about are a few stray NPCs that the brute missed. With sets, it's fairly easy to get your defense high enough that you don't need to worry about them anyway. I'd drop the nuke and get something that would be more useful, honestly. :/

Completely unrelated to this thread, but Fury Flechette.. Your play journal for that Bane fascinates me..
