New PvP Help

Okay so I've made and played many toons in CoH only to be farmers, AV soloers, or to buff/heal. I have decided I want to try PvP, it sounds really fun and exciting. So to start it off I was wondering, this will be my first toon for PvP, should I make a blaster or a scrapper? What would be better to start off my PvP experience? I was thinking scrapper would be fun, but I've heard PvP newcomers should start with blasters to get the feel of it. Well I need a suggestion to scrapper or blaster. Other than the choices, I need powerset suggestions....such as if I was to be a blaster should I make a Psi/EM from everyone's positive opinions on them? I have no clue. SO! Blaster or Scrapper, whichever one you suggest, I also need your opinion on my powerset choices too. THANKS!

Like getting kicked in the junk is fun and exciting.

I'd say blaster, they're easier.

Psy/EM or Fire/EM. They're both easy to play and do good damage.

blasters can spike from 150 range, scraps can't die and can spike a little bit with sharks. take your pick.

Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

to army of jack's credit, he's new to pvp so therfore, ignorance is bliss. He doesn't know how much better things used to be, he simply knows that at the moment for him, pvp is fun and exciting. I've been playing since 04 when the game first came out, but I still find the game fun; mostly because I'm mildly retarded and I'm easily amused. And for the OP, I second the motion to whoever said, psi/em or fire/em.

Psi/Em enough said

and use search in this forum and find any of the multiple posts on builds they are there. But in a nut shell for starting out I'd go Psi/EM/Fitness/Speed/Leaping/Cold. get your accolades, build for recharge, damage, and to cap your hp.

A Psi/Em is nice because it lets you get into all levels of PvP. From zones to the arena, casual kickball style matches to organized 8 v 8's. Scrappers on the other hand pretty much limit you to zone play.
