Ok,

I know Ive posted a billion things. Tryin to find something that interests me. Ive decided to go pvp for a bit. Im in the process of tryin to find something I want to play in pvp.

Corruptors seem fun (I have ice/kin, fire/storm, rad/rad) I like the self heal/debuffs etc. I wanted some ideas on a purely pvp corruptor. What kinds of experiences you guys/gal with pvp. What builds might work...what to stay away from. I am definatly a pvp noob...so any advice etc would be helpful.

No more from me and my wall o text

Thanks in advance

I heard that Dark/Cold is pretty decent. Dark/Rad too to a lesser extent.

How about rad/kin?

your rad/rad should do pretty well in PvP. Cold is a good pvp set because it has amazing single target debuffs that are applied quickly and basically alst until they are up again. Dark can be good if built right (i have a 50 dark/cold corr) but you are only goign to really use dark blast and gloom out of the blast set as far as pvping goes (will prob want to dual build so you can contribute in PvE while leveling). Honestly though, if you have a rad/rad at 50, use it. cosmic burst -> cosmic burst -> cosmic burst...thats your attack chain. And nutrino bolt can be kinda decent with enough procs.

at a glance,

No. fighting is pointless, you need hiber, chocking cloud is a useless power, you don't have nearly enough kb, and you didn't proc slot enough.

if you're starting from scratch anyhow, roll an elec/therm

not sure that storm would be that great in PvP but idk, never played it. Fire/cold would be good.

Your rad/rad build looks pretty solid for the most part. A few changes I would make:

1.) I would take mace mastery instead of soul. You will automatically get resistance to everything since it is PvP and although having it capped is very nice, you do not have the HP of a brute or a tank to leverage all the resistance, which is why i prefer defense but that is me. May also web cocoon for some soft control.

2.) I may would think of dropping tough and weave and picking up assult and tactics, or maneuvers and tactics.

3.) You did build for quite a bit of KB protection and that is good, 41 KB proection or higher is ideal.

That is all i really have for ya man. If you post this build in the PvP forums I am sure you will get some feedback, but don't get discouraged if alot of people are negative (they seem to be a bit more vicious than they are on other forums over there). Over all though, i think it is a solid starting point.

*EDIT* As stated above, hibernation is a choice that people like alot for defense. If you are planning on doing zone pvp this may be the way to go. If you are doing arena, i would go scorption shield. Hiber only delays the inevitable.

i Just made a Dark/cold just to pve with. I love dark's -acc and i like that it has a heal (/cold dose not) i think they mesh really well together. Dark seems to have good single target damage with decent holds. I'm not very high level so idk how they work in pvp.

I hear Sonc and Psyc are they best for pvp. Sonc being the top.
Try the pvp section.

I think I know why people play Dark/Cold for PvP. Players like the Life Drain as a heal since they lack a heal in the secondary. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried a Dark/TA corruptor? I would like the self heal in Life Drain and the debuffs in TA. I would not use in in Zone PvP, but I would use it in Arena Duels.

Sonic/Pain and Elec/Therm corrs are always great in pvp these days, but my favorite is Ice/Rad/Nrg = ]

Buffs.. Debuffs.. and over all fresh!

/cold is good because of the slows in snow storm / infridgidate, and the massive "anti-power boost" in benumb. Between those three powers an enemy will be struggling with powers that won't recharge and when they do activate they will be much less effective than normal. They also won't be able to move very quickly, and movement is hugely important in PvP.

Dark/ is also handy because of all the DoT powers which will interrupt an enemy trying to use aid self, and of course the to hit debuff in each attack. It also gives you a ranged self heal power that isn't interruptible.

Elec/Dark...Very Nasty combo...more of a 1v1 style tho.

Ideas?

Guild Wars.
Warhammer Online.
Aion.
Lineage 2.

Heck, even World of Warcraft if you're desperate.

You have this exactly the opposite of the way it actually works. A measly 17% defense from scorpion shield is going to do absolutely nothing against any decent build with accuracy or tohit slotted. Especially when you have a bunch of guys debuffing your defense.

In arena, if you hiber they aren't gonna stand there and wait for you to come out, because they have limited time, whereas in zone players have as much time as they want, and plenty of stalkers will just hiber camp you.

Have you ever actually gone in zone before?

QFT.

Even better though... TF2, Global Agenda, CS:S, Halo, MW2, Street Fighter 4....

In other words, pretty much anything that's not this game. It's completely not worth it to level and build new characters for PvP here.
