And when you tire of playing the character, get it refunded again? No. It has to be deletion or nothing.

The OP had a lot of bluster and incorrect 'facts', but I do agree that some things should be refundable. Of course, if you want a refund of a powerset, it should give you warning that any character using that set will be flat-out DELETED from your account.
That would be the only way a refund could work but I can anticipate people not paying attention and ending up screaming bloody murder on the forums about toons being deleted, or it was carrying a lot of inf, etc, etc.
The question is: which is the worse can of worms: having refunds, or not having them? -
Quote:There was no reason for it to go back on test - it WORKED. Changing a few numeric values would not require a second round of testing. The set was changed from the time it came off beta but before live, and did not go back on test.
Quote:There was no way to view the real stats before purchasing, so again I feel this was a somewhat deceptive.
1) You could have gone to the test server and checked out every detail.
2) Typing the power name into the chat window will bring up the power details for ANY power in the game. Try typing [Dry Heave] in the chat line.
I disagree with the first sentence since beta is to test FUNCTIONALITY, not if you 'like' something. As for the second sentence, this is why the test server exists. -
Quote:I would go the LotG route. Here's one good reason: you're looking at the prices NOW. What if 'hardcore' players stockpile their A-Merits for the PvP recipes and crash those prices just as you're about to sell yours? So, I debated saving up A-Merits to get a Glad and become a billionaire for the 1st time. Or, just cashing in every 2 for a LotG along the way. Which of the two would you pick?
FYI, I currently have about 35 A-Merits stockpiled from doing the SSA, spread out across about 18 characters. I really can't imagine that I'm the only person doing this. -
Are you sure? It didn't work that way when I transferred a toon. (This was prior to Issue 21.) I transferred a character with a deliberately unusual name and it was available on the destination server. No rename token, no change to the name.

With the option to buy more on a server. VIPs can have a maximum of 48 characters per server. Non-VIPs can have 36.

Cool. That's eight but, since the SF only needs 4 to start, we can do two teams if we get anyone else. For example, Gata is likely to show up unannounced and Rasset will probably be lurking about.

The outfit is okay, but it doesn't feel right for Jor-El to be so . . so . . . scruffy-looking.

Quote:Math alert: 60 hours.Ah, makes sense... just a warning, there's a 20 hour timer after you purchase anything with a-merits before you can make another purchase! So at a minimum, that'd take 80 hours (/4 days-ish) to blow through them all.
Spend 2.
Wait 20 hours.
Spend 2.
Wait 20 hours.
Spend 2.
Wait 20 hours
Spend 2.
Since you start and finish with the spending events, you only have to wait for the timer 3 times. -
Quote:6) Check out ParagonWiki, it's a great resource. Other than that, welcome back! And feel free to ask any questions you may have!

Someone posted a bunch of screenshots in another thread to show off the celestial pieces. One shot had a character holding a rifle with a glowing circle on it. Could it be in the celestial set?

Well, I guess they're willing to jump through a few extra hoops when we're talking about $1500 of computer hardware vs the chump change for an online game.

Quote:The ending bonus is variable and based on the TF length. It can be from 1/3 to 1/2 a level.Plus, there's all the lower level SF/TFs... especially the WTF, which gives 5 bars of XP upon completion as well!
All but one. In order to get the Nictus Sword you have to defeat Romulus 5 times. You can only defeat him 4 times in one run of the TF. -
It's believed that the Launcher has its own memory leak. Do you have the Launcher set to exit when you start the game?
-
And has the base been consistently in use? If it lies dormant for a few months, it can . . . well, 'turn off' and take a couple days or GM intervention to get it working again.

Quote:Wow, that IS sad. Of course, when I used to get up early on Sunday mornings to hunt badges in Recluse's Victory while it was empty, that was just common sense.Anyway, I got up a bit earlier than I need to this morning so I could log on to do some invention badges (yes, I am that sad),

Quote:That's just the way it is. This industry suffers from rampant credit card fraud. Supposedly, a big factor is RMT companies illegally using credit card info that people give them to buy game currency. I have no idea if that's true.Lots of stuff can trigger it. Problem is you never know what the problem is, and they won't tell you.
Same thing with computer parts. The first major purchase I made from NewEgg, I had to jump through lots of hoops. Once everything was verified (they actually called the credit card issuer to confirm the phone number where they reached me appears on file), it has been smooth sailing ever since. -
Quote:Yes, they do. That's how my badge hunter, who was already a level 50 hero before Going Rogue launched, got all the villain-side mission badges.yet I was wondering if there was ever going to be a solve for letting heroes/villains get the Accomplishment Badges they missed? Such as Agent, or Pwnz. I mean can play those missions but yet they dont award the badges that some of us missed...
Yep. Specifically, it means you have the SOUVENIR for that arc. There are a handful of arcs that are bugged and don't award the souvenir. These arcs will never get the star next to them (until it gets fixed). -
Quote:This issue, yes. It lists the last zone you were logged into, not the current location of the specific character. I felt this was so trivial I didn't even bother bugging it. It will get fixed some day.It shows, when I click on one of my created characters, that is a hero, that it is in a red-side city, or a villain, is in a part of Paragon City!
I have not bought any character slots since Freedom launched. -
This week we have another SF that tops out at 40 - Mortimer Kal. This is one of the newest TFs/SFs. This SF grants a temporary (?) power called The Flames of Prometheus. It's a minor buff but, once you hit 50, you can trade it in for a Notice of the Well. So it's not very temporary at all. You can benefit from it for 30 levels and you can actually keep it indefinitely - it just doesn't buff you any more once you hit 50.
