Beam Rifle Models

The Beam Rifle model I liked best in beta doesn't seem to be available in the production release. Sadly, I can't remember what it was called. Seems to me it was after the DUST Cannon in the list; it looked a little like the Vanguard rifle, but shorter and with a nifty circular glowy bit on the side panel. Does anyone know whether that got removed for some technical reason, became an unlockable variant (and if so, how it's unlocked), or what? I'm reasonably sure I didn't imagine it...

The Dust Cannon was there after release. Let me check...

No, I know the DUST Cannon is. The one I'm remembering was after it on the pulldown list (but before the Resistance Rifle and the one that looks almost exactly like it), I think, and is now no longer there.

You're maybe thinking of the Shock Rifle model.

Yea, that, and the Devastator model were supposed to of been returned back on 09/27. Unfortunately, they weren't there. Freitag made a reply to a couple of Posters mentioning that in the Feedback thread here.

Believe me, I want that BR model as well.

Thank you for the time...

Ah. Well, that answers that, then. Thanks! I was afraid it was still there, but had been tied to some absurdly time-consuming unlock, like the Crey rifles for Robotics. (200 Paragon Protectors? Really?)

I think the one that is missing is the Banana Cannon. It looked like a cross between a banana and Gary Busey, but with a handle.

That one, I believe, is the Devastator model.
As I mentioned, both the Shock Rifle and the Devastator models were intended to be put in back on 09/27. I know the one BR Blaster I have wants the Shock Rifle and I have a Traps/BR I eventually want to roll that wants it as well.

Thank you for the time...

Someone posted a bunch of screenshots in another thread to show off the celestial pieces. One shot had a character holding a rifle with a glowing circle on it. Could it be in the celestial set?

I found the Celestial Rifle last night while messing around with a new costume for my AR/Dev. It's a deceptively simple-looking slab of gun, tapered a little toward the top and slanted toward the front, with a glowing stripe down the side and more glowing ornaments in the stock, including (if I recall correctly) a dot or small circle down by the trigger; is that what you're looking for?

There's a mission where the only enemies are PPs ad they all count for the badge credit, even the minion and lieutenant versions. Get a group together and you'll have the badge less than half-way through the mission.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

Nope, that's not it. Nifty-looking, but not it.

I was only Tier 7 in the VIP beta anyway, so I wouldn't have had access to the celestial stuff unless they did a global test unlock of it sometime while I wasn't looking. Despite my global account's May '04 creation date, I've had some long unpaid downtimes over the strange aeons, so the new tier system regards me as a bit of a piker.

I remember that mission from back in the day. I thought I also remembered hearing that the Powers that Be had 86ed it for being so eminently farmable, but if that's not the case, well, so much the better. It's still a rather silly badge requirement. Not as bad as when Zookeeper required, what was it, a thousand Rikti monkeys? Ten thousand? It was originally some truly laughable number...

You always could have "purchased" extra point bundles in Beta to bump yourself up to Tier 9.

I'm the same way with my account. I wasn't here in the beginning, but despite only having 3 and a half years of paid time I actually registered shortly before Issue 5.

10,000. It's actually 1,000 now.
