few questions

Ok have some questions that I need answered along with some info.

1. When I upgraded to vip I didn't get a reward token when do I get 1?
2.if I drop back down to premium, do I still get reward tokens at all or do I have to spend money to get anymore.basically do you receive tokens if your not vip.
3. I love melee combat in city of heroes. With the guides almost all 3-5 years old now, are there any changes to basic builds that need to be addressed.
4. Can anyone compare the primary damage power sets for scrapper/ brute to other sets. Like who's is better single target. Which is better damage. Or just a breakdown of all the primaries. I have kinetic melee also, along with all the rest.
5. Is there anyway to get more character slots on an account other than buying them?
6. Any other info a old returning player should know?

Thanks for any help. Im a returning player from launch back in 2004. Lots have changed and I haven't played since villains came out.

1) Not sure if you're supposed to get one, since you should've gotten one "for free" as a free player. The next one you should get is on the one-month anniversary of your subscription.

2) No, you will not get further reward tokens unless you spend money.

3) Guides just don't do enough nowadays, especially with IO sets creating a ton of different ways to play the same sets. As such, it's usually just better to try to make a build in Mid's, and ask for advice. However, you can usually look back through the pages of the AT you're looking at to see if someone has posted about the combo you're looking at making.

4) There should be a list like this in the Scrapper forum. Somebody more familiar with that forum can probably post a link.

5) The old Vet Rewards program used to give you a free character slot per year. Not sure how that's handled anymore.

I came back when freedom went live. My account start date was 2004. I had 12 reward tokens. I just bought going rogue cheap and got a free month vip. Got the 400 points but not the token. Just started the vip Saturday night on oct. 1st.

Ah, you may be good to go then.

Since you're a returning player, you already had a token for applying a retail code.

Applying a second retail code gets you more VIP time, and 400 points apparently, but it's not supposed to get you another token. Iirc.

Just an FYI: You get the tokens at the end of the month, like how Vet Rewards worked. This isn't how the Devs wanted it to work (they wanted the entire sub to be front loaded), but that wasn't exactly working by the time they launched. Hopefully it'll be coming before too long.

Ok sounds good. I only needed 1 more token to complete level 5 awards. And unlock my mastermind and controllers. Now to get some character slots lol. 2 slots is junk. Hmmmm delete my only high level character or keep deleting my only other slot to make a new character its a hard choice hehe. I wish you could get slots another way besides paying for them.

If you are VIP you have 12 slots on each server without buying any. If they are showing as locked, you should have some server unlocks for that server. The 2 you get as Premium and any you buy (Or had from Vet rewards) are Global unlocks which can be used on any server.
