But more Defense Buff is almost always a good thing, and while one individual Maneuvers isn't that great, they add up fast on teams. You probably don't need to run it while solo, though.
I would agree with the general sentiment but, for most AT's, I would take Assault instead of Maneuvers. I would take Maneuvers for a defender, controller or mastermind. Of course, I generally take the entire leadership pool on all my defenders.

err... sort of. There is a participation metric but if the OP were not 'participating' enough, he would be getting 10 threads, not commons. Since he's getting commons, you're right - it's RANDOM and the OP has had bad luck.

This part is flat-out WRONG. If you sit by the door, you'll get the 10 threads 'reward' instead of a salvage roll.
  3. I think the earlier SSA's came out in the 2nd week of each month. I don't think the super packs are ready for prime-time. We were told staff melee won't be this soon.

I expect nothing particularly exciting tomorrow.

And, if we do get the super packs, I'd still be right - nothing particularly exciting.

It's WAY too easy to get to 50 for any reward of that magnitude (30 days of VIP). Frankly, even though 50 is the level cap, I don't see a need for any more reward at 50 than we got at 40 or 30. Just like when you hit 40, you can continue playing the character once you hit 50.
  5. Yeah, there's Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare and Ultra Rare. I don't recall ever seeing anything classified as 'Very Common'.

It doesn't - not by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it allows a maximum of 36 members and you can succeed with half that.
  8. Assuming you're not playing from an SSD, try defragmenting the drive. The game updates cause terrible file fragmentation.
  9. Next up: the Katie Hannon TF. This one is next since it's 30-34 and Manticore is 30-35.

Note: Similar to Ernesto Hess, this TF requires that the leader have the contact unlocked. Katie is unlocked as a contact by doing Buck Salinger's arc. I have the contact unlocked on my character but, if we end up with two teams like we usually do, we'll need a second person with the contact unlocked.

Saturday, January 7 at 1PM Eastern

A Tangled Plot (AKA Katie Hannon TF)
    Level 30+
Requires 6 or more to start.
    Contact is in Croatoa.

    1. Ironblade - Capt Tom Tachyon (time/rad defender)
    2. Elllls - maybe a brute
    3. AngelicaVenger - Shadow-Ripper (brute)
    4. GATE-keeper - Hell-Lion (brute)
    5. Asgardian Blade - Drizzt's Tribute (scrapper)
    6. Saint Jon - Heated Exchange (blaster)
    7. CynergySpyke - (sonic/sonic def or ill/rad troller)
    8. Deacon_NA - Chronostasis (ice/time troller) or Bad Salad (plant/thorn dom)

No, you're misreading both posts. He states that he grabbed the names FOR his friend. Also that he doesn't see a problem in selling them. He did NOT say that he sold them *TO* his friend.

By you not watching the commercials you are not upholding your end of the sales thing going and because of that, in essence, not paying for the show you are watching and thus stealing that show...
Frankly, I think they're a bunch of scum. Remember back when cable television came along and one of the big selling points was no commercials? We had to pay for it to avoid the commercials. Now we pay more than ever and have just as many commercials as we ever did. So let's not talk about upholding bargains.

Email isn't a great way to communicate, now that we have all the account stuff in there. The word EMAIL is always red when I log in, since there are emails with reward items attached. How would I ever know if someone sent me an email? I don't even open it unless I need to send an item somewhere.

Well, not really a good example. You can run that TF on a team with no tanks, brutes or scrappers and everyone using DO's.

And that's where we diverge - the matter of a fee.
When I'm selling something, I'm transacting business. I'm not being helpful. Of course, then we can get into a grey area - if you're selling something CHEAP, you're being SOMEWHAT helpful. Just not as helpful as when you give something away.

When I offer to earn the healing badges for other peoples supergroups, the first question is how much do I charge. I don't. I do it to be helpful. I don't like that people with solo or small SG's are effectively locked out of getting the medical aux items if they don't play h34lz0rs. THAT is a service to the community. I help them with something that they can't do on their own, and I get ZERO personal gain from it. That's what makes it 'serving' the community. You're putting the community ahead of yourself. Selling something is putting yourself first.

Having said that, as I mentioned earlier, I don't have a problem with the selling aspect. Most of the time, you must put yourself first (in real life or anywhere else) since no one else will. But if you put yourself first ALWAYS, that makes you a small person.

That's an interpretation that assigns human traits and motivations to the cat.
Another interpretation is that the cat was making one sound because it felt threatened. When it noticed its human nearby, its emotional state changed and it made different noises.

Yeah..... and here we are in a computer game forum. I guess that makes it clear which group we're in.

Learn to read. You quoted my post and then completely misrepresent my position right below it. I don't have a problem with selling names. I was criticizing characterizing it as a 'community service'.
