Obviously, the answer is yes. In fact, that's how it works. Occasionally, though, there are bugs. I ran that mission and it worked just fine. Therefore, it's not DESIGNED wrong, but something did not work correctly on the occasion that you ran it.

Not necessarily. I believe that if he is already spawned in the zone, you can kill 10,000 demons and it will do nothing. On the other hand, it's possible something is broken. I haven't hunted Caleb lately but I never had a problem in the past.

I chopped most of it out for clarity. It's quite pretty with 40 characters listed with the red, blue and green coding.



Explanation (refer to letters across the bottom of the image):
a) color bar to indicate hero or villain
b) which account the character is on (I have two)
c) character name
d) timestamp of the last time running an SSA *AFTER* the 'free run'
e) number of days ago that was - calculated from the date at left and the 'Right Now' box at top
f) cell displays Yes if the days is 6.75 or more *AND* column K shows Y
g) alignment merits the character had before running SSA's
h) earned from SSA's
i) how many they have spent
j) how many the character currently has
k) has the character confirmed their alignment? (If they are in the process, I put the number of alignment missions run.)
l) section where I track which character has taken their 'free run' of each arc

Additional comments:

• The f column uses conditional formatting. If the cell contents ="Yes", then the cell turns green to get my attention.
• Dr Dolomite has a grey bar since he is Vigilante and not eligible for alignment merits.
• Endothermy's name is in blue since he is a tank.
• Endothermy and Fidgety Girl show an identical time stamp since I was dual-boxing the arc. I solo it on the tank while the other character door-sits.
• The shortcut to add a timestamp in Excel is: CTRL+;<spacebar>SHIFT+CTRL+;
• The formula in column E uses a combination of relative and absolute cell references. Using the spreadsheet excerpt above, Endothermy's entry in column E would show =$D$2-D6. That way, when I make a new line for a new character, I can copy the formula and it will always calculate from cell D2 no matter what row I put it in.
• Yes, I like working with spreadsheets.
• Yes, I have too much time on my hands.

I forget which HO's it's about..... It's probably not listed as it's considered an exploit. There are one or more HO's that enhance an effect they shouldn't and it's going to be fixed. I think it involves damage resistance, maybe? I didn't pay much attention when it got mentioned since I wasn't using that exploit. So, in one ear and out the other.

I point out two circumstances where your statement is wholly or partly incorrect:
1) A bug in the software.
2) A programmer who is a jerk and designed it to play tricks on us.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes no.
What I mean to say is, you need to fill each row before you can start the next one. However, once you get to tier 9, you can pick anything from either row (as long as you are VIP). So if you just finished tier 8, you don't need to buy all those expendable temp powers before getting the fancy costume sets.

I would say no. The amount of Vanguard Merits I have been getting is significantly better than it used to be, but I attribute that to enhanced survivability from Incarnate powers and everyone (who is VIP) having access to a huge AoE attack from Incarnate powers.

If it had been changed to league credit, I would expect it to increase by a factor of SIX and it most definitely has not.

I am reminded of a tech support call from a guy who had his doctoral thesis on his laptop and the drive was wiped in the process of repairing it. As you might imagine, he was somewhat distressed.

I have a spreadsheet where I enter the last time I ran an SSA on the character and it compares it to the present time/date. When I update the page, it flags all characters that are eligible for earn an A-Merit. I also have a section to track my 'free runs' on each character.


Too much free time, I guess.


One useful thing I can add: Once you set up some tracking method and you're sure it's been long enough since you last ran the arcs.... You can tell *AFTER THE FACT* if you just did your 'free run' or a 'reward timer run'. The dialog box to claim your reward tells you whether you just did your first run on that toon or not.

ARRGGHH!! $180. Ouch.


When you install it, make sure you install the 64 bit version.

To avoid confusing anyone: the launcher will still check for updates and download/apply them WHEN YOU START THE LAUNCHER. If you set it to close after starting the game, it can not do this in the background. Which is actually a good thing. Most connections will suffer if you're doing a multi-megabyte download in the background while gaming.

If I'm expecting a patch on a particular day, I leave the launcher running when I'm not playing.

Hardly. Griefing is 'human nature'. Stalking is 'human nature'. Using profanity is 'human nature'. Using racial or religious slurs is 'human nature'. Cheating someone is simply one more example of unacceptable behavior.

As I recall, there is no 'Claim All' button for the 'one character only' items.

Yep. The respecs count as earned respecs so they stack. I have one toon with about 6. I have toons with over 80 tailor sessions.

I've been getting that message... probably over a year at this point.
