Something I'm wondering about.

I would like the answer to a question. I know, that, for many things in this game, there are pop-up messages, and, I was just wondering. Is there a pop-up Yes/No message for deleting Inspirations, that can be toggled on or off? There are some Inspirations, that, I do NOT want to, accidentally, delete. Any help, is, as always, very welcome, indeed!

Surely, somebody knows if there is an answer to my question?

No, there is not such a prompt.

(Also, try a bit of patience... there was a whole like 15 minutes between your posts... at noon on a Friday when lots of folks are at work... or eating lunch.)

Not without logging in and checking.... which you can do.
There's an entire (large) listing of prompts in the settings that you can adjust. Off the top of my head, I don't recall there being one for inspirations.

Look under the Menu->Options area. There are all sorts of options for turning confirmation pop-ups on or off in that area. If one exists for Inspiration deletions it'll be there. That's really the first obvious place I would have looked for such a thing. *shrugs*

Well, don't you think that there should be one? Just wondering.

Well you can certainly suggest something like that in the suggestions section.
For what it's worth I've never found a need for what you're suggesting but that may just be me. *shrugs*

I cannot find the suggestions section. Does it go by a name other than suggestions?

If there is, it's be under Menu-Options-General - that's where the enhancement deletion prompt option is among others.

You actually take the time to right-click to delete Insps? You don't just pop 'em? Except the ones from the Awaken family, of course.

I'm honestly curious here. How do you accidentally delete inspirations? When I delete them I must right-click on them and select Delete (or hit D) on the context menu that pops open--I'm not sure how I could do that accidentally. Now, accidentally using an Inspiration (because I hit a function key by mistake) is frustrating.

No context menu came up, when I accidentally deleted an Inspiration that I should not have. Why not? Someone said that one did, for them, and, one used to, for me, but, for some odd reason, not any more. Why not?

Deleted, or used? because there's no way I know of to delete an inspiration without reaching the context menu... Left click uses one, right click opens context menu...

And just off a hunch here, the context menu is the thing that comes up when right-click things in many windows-based environments. It shows up right at the cursor asking what you want to specifically do with the object you right-clicked on.

Okay, imagine that you want to combine that inspiration into something else, or pass it along to a teammate. You open that context menu. Then you feel the need to move a step to the right and press the D key... Oops, that was the menu's hotkey for "delete".

Right right, that is a way to accidentally delete one, from the context menu, which

... didn't come up? Yes, my argument is based solely on AW252's likely confusion over what a context menu is.

We can probably infer from the context of the thread that no prompt came up when he accidentally clicked delete or hit D while the context menu for the inspiration in question was open. And then he misunderstood Indiramourning's posting about the context menu. Which is why, in the half of my post you didn't quote, I said

So... yeah, likely there's no confirmation for deleting inspirations... Although 95% of the time I don't see there being a need for one... with the exception of the winter holiday ones, the special +resists for Crystal Titan/Hamidon, or some of the new dual-aspect inspirations from the super packs... Inspirations are largely disposable.

When I said, that, no context menu came up? I meant just exactly THAT! I right-clicked an Inspiration, that, according to what I had heard about it, was this Inspiration, that can not only fully revive your character, but, insures that your character is fully protected against XP Debt, and, also gives you Full Health, and, a full bar of, (I call it, privately, MP). When I did THAT? That Inspiration was accidentally deleted, WITHOUT a context menu popping up! THAT is odd, to say the least, if not an outright bug!

That would indeed be a bug, if it happened as you describe. The same thing might appear to happen if you pressed D (to move) at the same time, though.

Also, there is no inspiration that revives you with full endurance. The best is Immortal Recovery, which gives full health and 25 endurance.

I did not press D Hopeling. I only right-clicked on that Inspiration.

Then you may have encountered a bug. If you submit a bug report, make sure to include as many details as possible: what else you were doing at the time, where you were, et cetera. This helps them to isolate the issue so they can fix it.

Inspirations are cheap and disposable, like ketchup packets. They are given to you everywhere and they start to clutter up your drawers.

If this Insp/Ketchup packet ment so much to you, you could save it in an email, in a market slot or in a base storage bin. What is your global name, I'll send you a new ketchup packet.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Look, what basically had me upset, I guess, was that the context menu you are supposed to get, when you right-click on an Inspiration? It had disappeared! Not only had it disappeared, but, when I right-clicked on this Inspiration that I had wanted to keep, it deleted it, without that context menu popping up! But, earlier today, while I was playing the game? It had, when I right-clicked on an inspiration, to see if it had returned, showed up, as though it had never disappeared in the first place! Odd, huh?

The game doesn't play tricks on you. It is simply a program. It can only do what it is told to do. Liklyhood is that the context menu did come up, but you didn't notice it.
