Just because you don't have time to recruit and run an SG, doesn't mean you need to sell or delete it. You can keep it as your personal SG. Base upkeep costs are so low now, anyone can run a solo SG.
Having said that, if you need influence you can sell it. I bought a VG on my home server because someone happened to be selling one and I didn't feel like starting from scratch (and I liked the name).
If you do decide to sell it, post in your server forum about it. -
Quote:Learn to read. Most of us think it's a fine idea - *BUT* the suggestion does nothing to help the OP RIGHT NOW.I soooo love that when uber-know-it-all players come and unsign something.
Not because it's bad for the game or because it would hurt them, just because they want others to play the same way they do - controllers and defender HAVE to team, kinetics MUST have speed boost, tanks or brutes MUST taunt, people should min/max using IO's...the list goes on.
It's just a quality of life request, for Pete's sake ! and it would align Orobouros content with the rest of the game.
Read it like this:
"I couldn't solo this EB. We need a warning about EB's."
"Good idea and maybe we'll get such a warning in 6 months. IN THE MEANTIME, here's how you can solo the EB......" -
Yes, it does. And the solution, in my opinion, is to introduce personal 'apartments' that use the same base-building system. This would make the system accessible at a basic level to EVERYONE.

Wow, you really need to broaden your knowledge of the genre. You're not talking about a sub-genre; you're not talking about one company's fiction; you're talking about ONE HERO TEAM. And, FYI, those metal claws are not a mutant characteristic at all - those are a surgical modification.

Well, I wouldn't expect someone outside the US to know who Mr. G is.

Quote:Firstly, no enemy is designed to be impossible for anyone. Some are just harder than others. And you CAN do something. Get some inspirations and a Shivan shard. That will let you solo ANY EB.You're completely screwed by a brick wall of difficulty. The fight isn't just frustrating, it's designed to be impossible (for you). You can't invite any new teammates. You can't really do *anything* except abandon the arc,
Hard, yes. Impossible, no. I soloed Nosferatu on my empathy defender with a 'bargain basement' IO build (built for +recovery, cost under 25 million infl).Quote:Nosferatu is a very hard elite boss to solo for almost every AT.
And that pretty much sums it up. -
I see two possible issues:
1) With the random phrases, you are only limited by how many files you feel like creating. With costumes, you are limited to FIVE and you only have that many after hitting level 40.
2) You have to wait 30 seconds after a costume change before you can change it again. -
Quote:I heard that she has mind-controlled most of the other contacts. The signature tasks forces now run like this:I can't be there this week - but I should be on deck for the following Saturday (6/19) - that should be Sister Psyche, right?
10-15 Positron
15-20 Synapse
20-25 Sister Psyche
25-30 Sister Psyche
30-35 Sister Psyche
35-40 Sister Psyche -

Quote:We understand your position perfectly, because every single one of us has been there.I notice that all of you guys responding are long-time CoH veterans. I certainly respect your knowledge of the game, but I wonder if you really grasp my perspective on the game.
Are you here to PLAY, or have people play FOR you?Quote:I've only been able to grow toons quickly by having higher-level players get together and power-level me.
Exactly what is your hurry to get to 50? This is not one of the games where you rush to max level so you can do end-game raids, be useful to your guild, whatever. Once they hit 50, most people either start a new character or continue doing the same stuff they did on the way to 50.
Oh, and I have a stack of guides and technical manuals for various software packages and programming languages. The vast majority of them were way less than $30. Charging that much for a GAME guide is nothing less than grotesque. -
Also, the store is sometimes wonky and won't let you buy things for no reason at all.
-
On a related note: most defense or resistance-based sets are pretty shabby while using TO's and DO's. When you hit 22 and slot SO's, your survivability skyrockets.

Was this in an AE mission? I know those can have reduced XP, depending on how they are set up. I'm not sure if they can have no XP.
What mission were you in?
What server?
Did you try street hunting to see if that gave XP? -

Quote:No. We are 'entitled' to any and all expectations. The only expectation we are entitled to is that when the devs add a new feature to the game they give us full disclosure on how to use it including any penalties that we might incur if the feature has a time limit.
Some, however, might be unrealistic. In my opinion, this expectation did not fall into that category. -
Quote:Are you POSITIVE it's locked up? How long did you wait?Thats great, I can't load into the RWZ base. I lock UP and have to kill the process. Half Way in.
I had this happen on one toon when entering RWZ and ended the process and restarted. When I tried to log back in, it happened again but I did something different. The sequence went as follows:
1. RWZ loading screen appears.
2. Progress bar appears and starts to move.
3. Progress bar disappears, sound starts looping and mouse pointer does not respond.
4. WAIT! (At least 20-30 seconds.)
5. Progress bar reappears, finishes and zone loads.
So, yeah, something is broken, but it doesn't seem to be a fatal error - at least it wasn't for me. -
Yeah, it's *a* teaming channel. I'm on 3 teaming channels. AEA is one of them, but it's rarely (if ever) the most active one. And by 'active', I don't mean chatter. I mean teaming.

Quote:It's not. It was bugged. I could have a dozen items for sale, bidding, stored - it didn't make a difference. I would get the notification SOME OF THE TIME.Ever since I can remember, if you had stuff stored on the market (not sold or for sale, but just sitting there), then you didn't get the login message telling you that "you have x bought and y sold items" on the market.

Quote:I made my energy/energy blaster after the April Fool announcement about graphical sounds. "Freem" was just too good to pass up, so I made Captain Freem.Hey everybody, I really need some help coming up with a good name for my Energy/Energy Blaster. I had originally intended to call him Collision, but it was taken. Now I can't decide what to call him. Any suggestions, please?
(On Infinity - might be free on other servers.)

I believe it's three. Each team can only plant one. You can plant more than three, and it will keep the shields down for a longer period of time.
-
No offense, but I have emails going back years, both at work and at home, in order to keep a record of information. When the devs decided to refer to the system as "EMAIL", that automatically came with certain expectations of how it would work, based on other email systems we have already been using for many years.

Quote:It's a matter of user customization. We have settings that we can change for a great many prompts and onscreen warnings. This is a situation I cannot win with. I removed the prompt; people complained until I was told to put it back. Now it's back, a completely different set of people get to complain.
We have no such option for the Mystic Fortune. We are either forced to deal with a pop-up every time or we are forced to accept it whether we want it or not. BOTH situations give the customer no choice.
Even worse are the configuration settings for the 'high auction house fee' warning and the 'useful salvage' warning. The settings exist but they don't work. -

Quote:Well, yes, but they're not always intuitive.Aren't they listed in alphabetical order by what they enhance? Accuracy, Damage, Defense, etc etc.
- Damage resistance is listed under R, for 'Resist Damage'.
- Do you recall offhand if you should be looking for 'Stun' or 'Disorient'? (Stun.)
- While we have 'Snare' sets, the enhancement is listed under I for Immobilization.
Also, how do we explain that the following are listed in this order:
Range Increase
Recharge Reduction
Endurance Modification
Resist Damage
Run Speed
Why the heck is End Mod in the middle there???
