errr.. what stores? I thought Yin's Market was the only place that sold 'off level' SO's. The normal stores only carry regular increments of 5 (25, 30, 35, etc).

Quote:I'll second this (or third or fourth, at this point). For increasing regeneration, although it's somewhat counterintuitive, WP benefits from +hp set bonuses at least as much as +regen. Regeneration is proportional to your max health, and Willpower already has pretty high regen just from powers, so multiplying the regen you already have with +hp is often better than adding slightly to it with +regen.
On most toons, I slot for +recovery and on tanks I like +regen. However, WP starts with so much regen and you get Quick Recovery. So, on my WP tank, I focused on +HP and defense (mostly smashing/lethal since that's what my favorite IO sets have). -
Doom! My corr is close to unlocking Lore but I need a rare salvage to craft the T3.

Is it that time yet?
Quote:Having three employees work on it for 2 days, 2 employees for 1 whole day and 1 employee for 1 day to keep your clientele happy, I think is well worth it and it mitigates outbreaks such as this thread here.

As with most things in the game that have a bunch of people screaming bloody murder, most really don't care.
So, they're giving away something inconsequential while I'm at work, then they extended it but it's on Twitter and I don't have an account and don't feel like creating one.
BFD! It's a game! It's a trivial item in a game! Yikes. -

Quote:He's a 'bonus' enemy and awards a badge. The Gladiator match was quite a bit shorter- we never even saw the God Warrior, which surprised me. We must have done something wrong.
He only shows up if you manage to get... 'public opinion'.. whatever it's called to hit 500. Every kill boosts it (ninjas or monkeys a little, bosses a lot more). Using the temp power 'Incite the Crowd' gives a significant boost. But it degrades over time so you need to kill fast to hit 500. -

Quote:As I see it, the problem there is not the task force system. The problem is that you're playing with jerks. So the team can lose people and cant grow larger. This can be annoying on small teams when 2 friends decide to go play basketball in the middle of a TF and just quit.
Quote:Another possibility is a real bad player. The leader can kick, but now there are less people to take down an av, less dps, & therefore less xp / min.
Secondly, "less dps, & therefore less xp / min." I don't follow that part. You know the task force will scale to number of players, right? So you'll get through them just as fast and hit the mission bonuses where the big XP are.
Quote:- cant dynamically change the dificulty. If the team is doing well, the leader can increase the diff for more xp. Conversely, if the diff is +1 or more, the diff can be lowered if the team is getting wiped. If the leader started the Tf at +3 diff, and the team gets thrashed repeatedly in the 2nd mission, then running at +3 is earning more debt than xp. The leader cant reset the mission with a lower diff.
Quote:Im not saying TFs are bad. Tfs impose certain restrictions that limit the leader's choices in terms of team size, difficulty and mob size which in turn affects xp earning.
1) No dithering. No "What mission do you want to do next?" No "Whose mission should we do?" That slows down regular teams. On a task force it's mission, mission, mission. No delays.
2) No extra recruiting. You see that as a problem. I see it as an advantage. I've been on plenty of teams where someone drops and leader insists we stand around getting zero XP so he can recruit an 8th person to 'maximize' our xp.
3) End bonus. Just like any other arc, you get a bonus at the end, even if it's not the weekly strike target. -
Quote:Well, of course there are a limited number of missions, since we don't have an infinite number of devs sitting at an infinite number of computers. They can all be repeated forever. The Paragon Wiki Morality Mission page suggests there are limited morality missions. Are the morality missions 1-time only, or will they repeat?
Likewise, the Alignment Mission wiki page suggests there might be a limited number of alignment missions per level grouping; or do they also repeat? -
1. Is there a limit to the # Morality missions available (besides the tips per hours) or how many times a character can change alignment?
No, it's only 'time gated'. You can change alignment every two days for the next five years if you wanted.
2. If I've confirmed a character's alignment once, then change my mind; would I need to do 2 morality missions to change alignment? (1 to "undo" my previous confirmation, and a 2nd to change alignment?)
No, you don't need to 'undo' confirming your alignment. Confirming your alignment has no effect on your alignment; only your ability to earn Hero/Villain merits.
3. Are there degrees of heroism/villainy? i.e. Any difference between a 1x confirmed hero compared to a 2x confirmed hero?
No difference at all.
4. If I get Alignment points as a hero (without spending it) and become a villain, do I lose the previous alignment points?
They're called Alignment MERITS (usually 'hero merits' or 'villain merits'). And yes, if you change alignment while holding any, they go poof!
4. Just out of curiosity: If I alternate between hero/villain alignment missions, does it have any effect besides taking longer to collect enough for a morality mission?
No. Doing different types of alignment missions don't cancel each other out or reverse your progress. -
Quote:Are you talking about clicking the little triangle next to each thread title, to take you to the first post since your last time online? If so, works perfectly for me.No one is talking about the "Go to first new post" option still being a pain, after all this time.
Quote:It seems like it is a problem that comes from signing into the forums from different computers, but A) that doesn't mean it should be acting that way... I've always been able to properly use that feature in other forums from multiple machines and B) is this not still an issue others are experiencing? -
Quote:Clearly, you have no freaking clue.As you have probably guessed by now, the forums are a hotbed for healer-hate. It's a long-standing grudge, harbored by a significant portion of the forum community that goes waaaaaaay back (at one time, I would have counted myself among those people). The word "heal" or "healer" is almost treated like a dirty word, and quite a few posters will jump at the opportunity to denounce dedicated support builds, like it's some kind of disease that might spread if not for the unfailing efforts of these valiant forum-goers.
The knee-jerk reaction to the word "healer" is in the context of a team leader saying, "We can't start until we get a healer." This is the mark of an idiot, just like "We can't start until we get a tank." No single AT or powerset is ever vital to the success of a team.
* With the possible exception of stuff like the Really Hard Way badge in the Magisterium trial, which was explicitly stated (by Positron) as one of the toughest tasks in the game which he did not even think was POSSIBLE to achieve until further Incarnate powers were released. -
Quote:What you seem to still not understand is that your BUILD was the problem IN THIS SITUATION. No one is telling you how to build or play your toon (well, most of us aren't). But you came here and said "I have this problem and here's the background (including my build)." And we advised the build was the problem FOR THAT BADGE SITUATION. And guess what, you changed your build for it and that solved the problem instantly. What everyone missed, and no one seems to understand, is, I never meant this to be a discussion about my healbot build.
Now, to generalize a bit, I will tell you that your original build is sub-optimal for this game. You will run into other situations where a more versatile build will be demonstrably better than your narrowly focused one. Okay, you have a concept for your build. Cool. But that means it's not going to work well for SOME content. And this was one of those bits of content. That's all we're saying. -
Quote:Right off, you're talking about a SOLO situation. Well DUH the incarnate and purpled toon is going to be way the hell more powerful and the difference is immediately apparent.Ios and incarnate stuff vs a SO toon
Dont even bother. The io'd(purpled) incarnate toon is running +4/8 with bosses easily. The non incarnate non iod toon (same build) can barely handle +0 or -1 no bosses. I mean barely i am praying for the right insp to drop in missons.
its a fire/elec/pyre brute I use to farm purples and pl.
But that's a bogus comparison. A better question is: Can a toon with SO's survive on and contribute to the average team. The answer is yes. If someone is level 50 and using SO's and teamed with a bunch of incarnates, guess what - the incarnate guys powers improve the survivability of EVERYONE.
For example: my emp has amazing heal boosts and recharge. Furthermore, his AoE heal boosts allies endurance (due to the PvP Panacea proc). This helps EVERYONE. His huge recharge lets him keep Fortitude on more teammates. His Incarnate Destiny power is an AOE BUFF.
No one is denying that toons with IO's and/or incarnate powers are more powerful. The question was: Are characters with only SO's *VIABLE*? The answer is yes. -
Right off, the best (for XP) one to run changes each week. Every week there is a Weekly Strike Target (either one hero and one villain one, or a co-op that both sides can run). Upon completion, the TF gives an XP bonus between 1/3 and 1/2 OF A FULL LEVEL (the bonus size depends on the TF length).
You can run the WST only once per character each week. Well, you can run it repeatedly, but you can only get the bonus once a week. The WST is announced in advance in this thread.
After that, I would say the Imperious TF has always been (and continues to be) pretty popular for XP due to the large numbers of bosses and elite bosses in it. The Imperious TF is co-op and the level range is 35-50. -
Quote:Just to be clear to everyone else, you're posting those links to admit it's inferior compared to NoScript, right?
I mean, he states flat-out:
Quote:Currently NotScripts does not provide advanced protection for things such as clickjacking and other methods found in the “NoScript” addon for Firefox and a malicious website may still be able to successfully use such techniques. -
Once again, we are in sync with the Weekly Strike Target since they're running a few that top out around level 40.

Quote:Just noticed your message. When I'm scanning for new posts, I don't always catch ones in the 'stickied' threads at the top of the list.I"m so glad I came across this thread! I would love to have a knowledgeable player to help me get on my feet in this game. I've really just been clicking random buttons on pretty much every thing. Tried to join the channel that's in the first post but I couldn't make it work. :/
Have you found someone to help you with stuff?
Also, have you managed to join the channel? You have to be "Tier 3" in the Paragon Rewards system to be able to join global channels. Full details can be found on this page on ParagonWiki. It's a tremendous resource.
I would have just sent you a private message here but, if I recall correctly, Premium players can't sent PM's so you would not be able to reply.

Quote:Well, your quote is that you were told: "To maintain the continuity and accuracy of the user database, NCsoft master accounts and game accounts cannot be deleted once created."What I am asking is not that technical, or hard a task to achieve. I myself have accurately removed data from a database. If they can't do it accurately, then they should not be in the business they are in.
I guess you're reading that as, "We can't delete the account or we might mess up the database."
I read it as, "Our policy is not to delete accounts." This gives them the "continuity" of records being permanent and the "accuracy" of having a record of every account ever created. -

Quote:Again, no, we are not. We are talking about a build that is OBJECTIVELY and DEMONSTRABLY sub-optimal for the game you have chosen to play. True, SOMEONE made some value judgements as to what build is 'good', but that was the devs who created the game.Again, we are talking about a "Mine is right, yours is wrong" arguement.
The game is what it is. If you are failing because your build is inconsistent with the design intentions of the game, work around it. If you actually want that badge, make the effort to get it rather than defending the build THAT IS FAILING YOU. -
