I'm pretty sure that they all do give a buff in addition to the buff from when they're turned on. I know that Support gives an Endurance discount at all times, and Assault gives a damage bonus. Those items show up in my combat numbers regardless of whether the power is toggled on or not.

Etc, etc, for Melee, Control and Support. However, none give a passive bonus to defense that's on at all times.

Thanks for the answers, i see, that's where i didn't get it i think: the timer starts after the buff is over. I thought 2mn duration and 2min recharge = permanent, as it could be recast as soon as it fades... So that's not the case.

Hybrid is, as its name suggests, a hybrid - each one gives you both a Toggle power (two minute duration, two minutes cooldown) and an Auto power (always on).
I tend to choose which one I use based on the Auto power (+damage, +regen, +status resist, or +end discount), with the toggle just being a bonus.

I've been away for about 6 months so, i'm trying to catch up now on the new stuff that was added. And i don't understand how the hybrid slots works. Looking at the paragon wiki page and the Support hybrid, the radial and core embodiement seem to give a permanent 8% defense buff, is that true ? Or does it work only under specific circumstances ?
Basically i'm looking for the hybrid slots that give a permanent buff, regardless of foes around or whatever can happen, as i'd rather have a small but persistant buff rather than a large one that doesn't work when i need it. And it seems some of the hybrid slots fit that role, however, it seems almost too good so, am i missing something ?
