Alignment questions
1. No.
2. No, just one. You can go Hero->Vigilante->Hero. But you'll need to do two if you want to reaffirm the final alignment. Example: Hero->Vigilante->Hero->Confirmed Hero (for alignment merits).
3. There is "Hero" and "Confirmed Hero" (and the same thing for all other alignments), but other than that there is no other "degree".
4a. Yes.
4b. A hero cannot collect villain alignment missions (a hero can collect hero and vigilante missions; a vigilante/rogue can collect hero, vig/rogue, and villain missions, and a villain can collect villain and rogue missions), but other than that point, no, it doesn't have any effect. Once you do an alignment mission all other alignment points are lost, though, so you have effectively wasted time on the second alignment's tips.

1) Not sure if I'm reading this right, but you can do as many tips as you want in a day, just only the first five will "count" towards getting your morality mission. You can get a morality mission once you get 10 tip missions done for that alignment. There is no limit to how many times you can switch sides.
2) Yes, you would need to first switch to the alignment you wanted, then need to do another to confirm.
3) No "degrees" of morality, once you're confirmed.
4) Yes, if you switch alignments, you will lose stored Hero/Villain merits
also 4) Not really, no.

1. Is there a limit to the # Morality missions available (besides the tips per hours) or how many times a character can change alignment?
|
2. If I've confirmed a character's alignment once, then change my mind; would I need to do 2 morality missions to change alignment? (1 to "undo" my previous confirmation, and a 2nd to change alignment?) |
3. Are there degrees of heroism/villainy? i.e. Any difference between a 1x confirmed hero compared to a 2x confirmed hero? |
4. If I get Alignment points as a hero (without spending it) and become a villain, do I lose the previous alignment points? |
4. Just out of curiosity: If I alternate between hero/villain alignment missions, does it have any effect besides taking longer to collect enough for a morality mission? |
Take note, though, that except for the instant change token, you do have to go through the Rogue and Vigilante alignments before you can switch to the opposing faction. Also, before you can collect Alignment Merits, you have to reconfirm your Hero/Villain status. So, for example, you start as Hero, do 10 tips and a morality to switch to Vigilante, then do 10 more tips and morality to switch to Villain, you will still have to do 10 more tips and a morality to confirm your Villain alignment. You will receive only Reward Merits for that morality mission. Only after that will you be able to receive Alignment Merits for further morality missions and SSAs.

Thanks, guys. Despite my inability to count or properly phrase my questions, you figured out what I was trying to ask! I'm still confused by this:
I believe there's only 2 morality missions per alignment, per level grouping, but I could be wrong. You can change alignments as often as you wish.
|
Likewise, the Alignment Mission wiki page suggests there might be a limited number of alignment missions per level grouping; or do they also repeat?

Not only do they repeat, but for most level ranges there is only a single morality mission for each alignment. For a hero level 20-29 you'll always get 'Fire in the Hole.' 30-39 you'll always get 'Crossing the Line." Even at 40-50 there are only two missions. And many just drop the 'One Good Spider' mission after having done it a time or two simply because 'The Unusual Suspect' is so short and easy.
Edit: More alignment and morality missions at the top ranges is something I'd really like to see.

1. Is there a limit to the # Morality missions available (besides the tips per hours) or how many times a character can change alignment?
No, it's only 'time gated'. You can change alignment every two days for the next five years if you wanted.
2. If I've confirmed a character's alignment once, then change my mind; would I need to do 2 morality missions to change alignment? (1 to "undo" my previous confirmation, and a 2nd to change alignment?)
No, you don't need to 'undo' confirming your alignment. Confirming your alignment has no effect on your alignment; only your ability to earn Hero/Villain merits.
3. Are there degrees of heroism/villainy? i.e. Any difference between a 1x confirmed hero compared to a 2x confirmed hero?
No difference at all.
4. If I get Alignment points as a hero (without spending it) and become a villain, do I lose the previous alignment points?
They're called Alignment MERITS (usually 'hero merits' or 'villain merits'). And yes, if you change alignment while holding any, they go poof!
4. Just out of curiosity: If I alternate between hero/villain alignment missions, does it have any effect besides taking longer to collect enough for a morality mission?
No. Doing different types of alignment missions don't cancel each other out or reverse your progress.

I've read the Paragon Wiki and the helpful info/links in this thread, but I've still got questions about how the Alignment system works:
1. Is there a limit to the # Morality missions available (besides the tips per hours) or how many times a character can change alignment?
2. If I've confirmed a character's alignment once, then change my mind; would I need to do 2 morality missions to change alignment? (1 to "undo" my previous confirmation, and a 2nd to change alignment?)
