Oh, no exploiting? How boring. Did you at least make new players fume at being unable to buy salvage because the evil flippers are driving prices into the stratosphere?

Oh, yes, another factor to consider. Were the bombs GLOWING and MAKING NOISE? If not, those objectives are not yet active - you have to do something else first. There are a lot of new missions with 'tiered' objectives. Talk to so-and-so, then go to a data terminal which is now active, then find something else, etc. It won't let you do them in the wrong order.

Keep in mind, though, that this game has a long and rich history of a dev's 'vision' overriding not only what players wanted, but common sense as well. Fortunately, this appears to have ended, with the current management apparently willing to consider options they had not envisioned previously. Things don't always get implemented, and sometimes it's for bad reasons, but the situation is better than in the past.

Were you being attacked and did you stand completely still while clicking them? Activating (or disarming) a bomb is a long process (8-10 seconds) that can be interrupted if you move, are hit or trigger a power.

How much do you really need?
And when do I need it? NAO!

Quote:The problem with fighting Nemesis is that he has so many layers and branches to his plans, that no matter what we do, he seems to have usually anticipated it
I think he just throws all these plans out there so that people keep running into them. He's not actually trying to take over the world - he just wants to look important. Whatever happens, he's in a position to say something like:Quote:See, I have a different take on him. It's not that his plans are all that sophisticated, it's that he's been around for so long that at some point he's tried practically everything.
"I told you so."
"I knew that."
"I tried that YEARS ago."
"I expected you to do that."
He has all that steampunk stuff because he doesn't have access to newer technology, since he lives in his mothers basement. -

Quote:Absolutely, totally wrong. Sure, you can rake it in by farming in AE, but to suggest that someone who avoids AE will have even the SLIGHTEST difficulty paying for enhancements is just fantasy. But I can't help but feel sorry for the Noob Low level player who doesn't know how to play the market (and really bought this game to be a super hero, not a marketeer). If he decides to not do the AE thing and explore the PvE content, he's going to be poor.
I remember when it was routine to respec to sell off your old SO's in order to afford new ones. When the invention system arrived, those days ended forever. A handful of boring salvage drops and you're funded for 20 levels. One good salvage drop and you're funded beyond that. Random recipe drops give the potential for a big payday but the random 'junk' drops will easily pay your way to 50. -

And that's why I don't claim to know exactly how it decides who to promote. Generally, when someone explains how it works, I can contradict it from personal experience. Either no one knows (aside from the devs) or it's bugged all to hell. I never leave it to chance.

As a moron who frequently lies around, I'll be there too.

Quote:Yes, your team has to do 10% damage. And this most assuredly *IS* the usual mode of operation. I didn't say NCSoft since they didn't write the game. *ALL* defeat badges have that 10% restriction. FYI, once upon a time, it was 25%.Someone said your "team" may have to get at least 10% of the damage. Is this correct?
Do i have to start being selective about who is on my team? This is NOT the usual NC soft mode of operation. If it is - it makes me sad
And no, you don't need to be selective about who is on your team. You just need to make sure you're not on a team of 2 surrounded by teams of 8. -
Items 1 and 2 are correct. Item 3 is half correct. It is not random who gets promoted. (As noted in other posts in the thread.)

Whoa, this is tomorrow. hmm... my new tank is blue side only still. I guess I'm bringing 5p4rk. He's Vigilante.

Quote:Invuln can. I have tanked Lord Recluse on my invuln and got the master badge on another toon with someone else tanking on their invuln.I ask why granites can survive when INV cant?! with all those buffs there above and beyond the def and res cap and they drop like flies ... why can the 'magical' stone tank survive where others fall?
I can only speculate that the invuln had something wrong with his build.... but can't explain how he did so well up to that point if he had build problems.
