I know a good consideration is who makes the proto-type cards for the manufacturers, ATI/AMD use Sapphire.

I believe nVidia uses eVGA and that's why they are favored.

It means they have the longest to work with the cards and are more familiar, it doesn't mean other folks don't make a good card however!

So the Ruby Paladin might be available

Another way is - do a 50 WTF then as it nears the end say: I am planning on running a level 20 hero tips team after the TF anyone interested?

I also will check on those LFT - I don't care what level. I say I am doing this.........would you be interested? Sometimes they are!

As previously said - its your attack order that differs - use your DoT attacks last.

A ???/Dark corr can tank the ITF without melee on the team.

A Fire/Dark corr can run at -1 x 6 as soon as you have tarpit and rain of fire - level 6/8 ish.

An Ice/Dark corr can tank most things in the game with all of its slows and debuffs and Blizzard/Tarpit is cheating.

Rain of Arrows and Tarpit?

Sonic + Tarpit?

Radiation + Tarpit? So minus defense and Resistance?

Do you like healing, debuffing, slowing, -to hit, -resistance, fear, pets and the damage buffed by 30%?

Stop by your friendly neighborhood Corruptor shop and take one for a test ride.

I get the same and what can often help is the /unloadgfx and then /sync commands.

I actually have them on binds:
/bind f1 "unloadgfx"
/bind f2 "sync"

Then unload the graphics and sync and it usually goes away.

In a team many times people lose track of what a Fire/Dark brings to the table.

Let the tank/brute take the alpha - Fear the group - drop tarpit - drop rain of fire and move to the NEXT group use darkest night on a boss and bring the NEXT group or 2 back to the first tarpit.

By this time FEAR is up again. Rain of Fire is up again and so is Tarpit. Howling Twilight is the single most misused power in the dark arsenal.

Howling Twilight:
Slows
Disorients all minions
Causes Bosses and Lts to flee
Does small damage
Is a mass Rez
Slows Regeneration by 500%


I use it every single time it is up. I slot it (prior to IO's) 3 recharge, 2 disorient, 1 slow and you have it available every 3rd group roughly.

Look at what your Dark powers do:

Tarpit - a mass slow and a 30% -resistance - you do 30% MORE DAMAGE
Fearsome stare - up to 17% -to hit and of course a mass fear
Grasp Heal - 50% -regen and good heal
Darkest Night - -To hit and it is ranged and can be used to herd and pull
Dark Servant - heals, holds (slot +2 mag hold IO and hold Arch Villains)


In a team most folks don't realize your heal is the least of your powers. Your debuffs are so very powerful that you can make the team into a steamroller.

Doing the Lady Grey last night and in the rescue 2 psychics mission - I stayed at the door with 5 others as the other 3 went to get the 2 captured and let them be defeated. For a few shard drops I went to the Rikti and was fearing, dropping darkest night on the mezzers, tarpit and Howling twilight and by myself I completely cleared the first floor getting 3 shards drops on an 8 man team.

I carry 3 or 4 break frees, 5 or 6 purples, 2 greens and the rest blues in my inspiration tray.

Got the same email I did last time - I have referred this to the next level.......last time I got zero and explained that to them as well including the exact form they requested both times.

I did get the survay and noted it is great service except for the fact that you never get the problem fixed.

I was the cause of a WST horror story.

We were doing a master run and we get to Reischman with hardly a flicker of a threat to loosing anyone. In the battle we took everyone down as they came up until the Countess.

She broke out and as she approached - Reischman went unstoppable and my heal kept missing (Fire/Dark Corr) so out of habit I hit tab and healed off from the Countess - she instantly killed me. It was perhaps not a one shot but it was wham, Dot and dead.

I had no chance to heal.

Thus failed the Master run, I was so disappointed I logged immediately after the TF and felt terrible for it. What a mess, I have never been the cause of a master failure and it was a terrible feeling.

Hopefully this time they can get BOTH sets of stuff I lost last time they ignored my petition - oh they opened a ticket sent me the place to place my answer and I did so REPEATEDLY and they did not return my goods and just closed it.

Filed a second one as once again they screwed up the email deleting recipes, influence and IO's crafted for a new alt. It becomes a joke and the nuthuggers will soon come and tell you somehow its YOUR fault.

Decent laptop - not too expensive and should play the game reasonably well with average graphic settings.

I am getting this exact laptop and drive for my daughter when my taxes come back in a week. Samsung hard drives aren't the fastest but they are routinely the coolest running.

I also had this problem and I deleted the CoH.checksum and once it reloaded - I used Auslogic disk defragmenter and on the drop down did an Optimize for the drive and everything was up and running no issues since.

Oh, easy one!

The Pack - since we now have animals in the game you can make a pack of characters you design.

The number of the Pack differs on which ones you choose.

Select a Herd style pack and you get only 2 an attack/defense character and a buffing/debuffing one.

Choose Hunting pack you get damage doers with little to no protection but lots of damage some ranged and some melee I could see 4 or 5 of these as the level increases.

I have found 2 types of teams:

1. you aren't a team you are 8 people sort of moving in the same direction

2. Let's have some fun, complete the TF and take care of each other because we are a team.

I dislike the first type unless it is openly expressed its a speed TF. I far more like the second type as it is more fun and relaxed.

I saw the Horror stories one and wanted to even out the Karma

Last night I was on my Ice/Storm controller (Mab Queen of Winter) and got invited to an STF.

I get on the team and we only have 5 damage dealers. A PB, Tank, Blaster,Scrapper and a Bane.
We have a Defender, 2 Ice/Storm controllers.

Looking at the team I was not thinking we could do enough damage to defeat Ghost Widow or Recluse. I said so in team chat and offered to grab a damage doer. They said lets give it a try - and so we did. The first mission was very easy. Then, so was the second and the tree went down FAST!

Aeon, easy.

Now we roll into Recluseville and I suggest we take on Ghost Widow first and see what happens. The Tank and scrapper were the only 2 in melee range and Ghost Widow just dropped - like a rock. She was dead in less than 2 minutes I believe.

The other 3 went down easy and so did the flier. Now was the test and we did have one thing in our favor a superior tank - Nami. Nami climbed the pole near Recluse and then Recluse could not stay in melee range for long.

We had 2 hurricanes and lightning storms knocking the repair workers off the towers and they went down FAST. It was now we would try Recluse and he started going down fast as well. His minion spawn got us though and so we all took a break got loaded up on inspirations and took him back to the ship to avoid the flier and toasted him rapidly.

It was quite a pleasant surprise that we did it with such ease.

Did the TF - took Notice of the Well and.............when I go to unlock and get my +1 rate - I no longer have Notice of the Well.

So I say nevermind I will run it again - nope 3 more times and it never came back. So I am waiting so I can hopefully get it again this week.

A siren goes off in the Dev's office and strobe lights flash - when a player actually attacks another player.

It is immediately flashed up on the Jumbotron and a hasty meeting is called. Since the research paper on a PHD based on how to frustrate players in an MMO PvP enviroment is nearly complete - a decision needs to be made on whether the Pavlov dog theory is to be applied.

If it is applied then a PvP recipe is gifted to one player and this causes a backlash onto the other player who now is frustrated in that when he rings the bell nothing drops.

It becomes apparent to neutral viewers that if PvP was actually being "encouraged" PvP recipes would drop regularly in normal play. The title of the paper when published will be "A Case Study in Frustration - How to Ruin PvP in an MMO."
