Obviously someone who's healing is doing nothing wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]If you have to spell that out something is wrong with this guide.

"I'm sooooooo sorry I fired off that Healing Aura Mr. Scrapper sir. I promise it won't ever happen again! *sniff*"

Bleah.

My question is this: are these base raids going to be villain vs. villain, or -only- hero vs. villain, or any combination of the two?

I realize scheduling raids does not sit well with some, but I'd much rather be able to be there to defend our base, rather than sign on and find it destroyed one day with no warning.

Thread necromancy most foul. Get out the rope!

[/ QUOTE ]Sorry, I didn't get that temp power.

PS: What's with the all the thread necro???

Your a very brilliant man..

You want it to stop so you post detailed instructions on how to do it, why don't you add detailed screenshots?

[/ QUOTE ]

I just have to ask, do you realize how old the OP is, and do you realize that the means described no longer work?

[/ QUOTE ]ROFL! I was about to say, that's a very old post that's being quoted.

It is my sad duty to inform everyone that August will be my last month with City of Heroes and City of Villains.

[/ QUOTE ]As someone used to say...

DOOOOOOMMMMMMMM™!!!

Good luck with Tabula Rasa. May your stick there be as effective as it is here.

Friggin...Cool!!!

Given numbers in the game. *glee*

[/ QUOTE ]Now if those powers are tweaked later will that info be updated in the in-game tabs or ... ?

[/ QUOTE ]

If they're tweaked later then I guess you'll get your answers later instead of now.

[/ QUOTE ]Oh good grief. You do know that power descriptions in the game are sometimes left in place even after the powers change? So if these patron powers are modified for whatever reason, say Dark Embrace gets some +Perception, will that be dynamically updated in the in-game information or will that also lag behind and require someone to manually enter the changes?

Since these powers once set are there for the life of your character and the developers went out of their way to make sure the NUMBERS are known ahead of time, I'm wondering exactly how far they took it. Would be nice if it didn't require someone to manually make those changes.

FYI: my first COH character on Live was (is) a Fire/Fire Blaster.

Isolator to me is not a unique badge, it is a badge to cause arguements such as this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]Isolator - you now have a badge that has caused great strife in the Hero ranks.

Sad, sad thing about this badge on Infernal Night I actually had the chance to get it post-Outbreak due to a bug that sent me back there after a defeat once. Had an SG mate have the same thing happen. Of course, that would be exploiting a bug... Ah well.

Longbow is one of the groups you might be fighting. There are others.

[/ QUOTE ]

So the others are COT then?

[/ QUOTE ]LOL, ok, that was bad. Bad!

Let me say something first: I'm very excited about Issue 7, and it can't get here soon enough, and I'm all in favor of most of what I've heard about it. But I just learned one thing, today, that is almost all by itself enough motivation for me to hate Issue 7. Mayhem Missions will be versus Longbow.

[/ QUOTE ]"If it weren't for Longbow I wouldn't be the villain I am today." No kidding, I've fought and killed so many they must be cloning themselves. Everytime I see another Longbow mission my brain hurts. No way could they be having babies that fast.

The Isolator Badge reads:
"You began your career on a high note, by personally ending the riots of contaminated thugs in the Outbreak Zone."

[/ QUOTE ]Well, that's bogus because I just ran a new hero through the tutorial and there's still hordes of contaminated thugs running amuck in the Outbreak Zone! Bunch o' liars wearing that Isolator Badge there are.

FWIW, I'm all for adding a way for people to get this badge outside the tutorial zone (other than the defeat bug which can send people there). Make it a time travel Portal Corp mission given by one of the contacts who sends you on those missions. People are always asking for more mission types/content. Why couldn't this be one?

Neither are in I7?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Wait, what IS in I7?

[/ QUOTE ]New bugs to find and complain about?
16. Small detail but the "mag 1" description in Howling Twilight & Dark Pit should be "mag 2" instead. At mag 1 the powers wouldn't even affect poor minions.

WHAT GIVES WITH DEFIANCE?

[/ QUOTE ]Defiance is and has been bugged since it was implemented. I don't think many would argue with that. It's been tweaked and modified somewhat but the bugginess remain. Statesman has said he's happy with it in its current form so I sincerely doubt it'll be looked at anytime soon.

Don't know what else there is to say. I'm with the others who say pretend it doesn't exist. Be defiant about it.
18. Heh, seems like calling a power "situational" is the kiss of death.

BugÂ… In an upcoming patch, flying entities that are disorient will no longer behave oddly.

[/ QUOTE ]
I think this bug has been around for a long time. Wouldn't the patch of always been upcoming if the fix for it has been worked on this long?

[/ QUOTE ]It has been around forever. Just ask anyone with Oppressive Gloom, sometimes you feel like you've entered the Olypmics because a group of stunned foes will suddenly be able to leap with perfect precision to the crossbeams at the top of a warehouse or even onto the hanging lights. Also funny watching Freakshow and the flying CoT fly straight away at max speed from you while supposedly stunned. The moving at full speed in a straight line after stunned is easy to demonstrate. It happens all the time when I duo my corruptor, I'll pull a foe with Moonbeam, the EM brute will be standing ahead of me but out of LOS of the foe, foe runs by the "hidden" brute, gets smacked and stunned by brute, but continues to run all the way up to me while stunned (sometimes this can be quite a large distance), THEN starts wobbling around.

Here's to hoping it's more than just the flying while disoriented that gets fixed.
20. Figured this was as good a place as any for the Prima guide numbers concerning Dark Armor (this is supposed to be accurate as of Issue #6):

Code:[/color]

DARK ARMOR END ACT RCHG
Dark Embrace 0.104 0.67 4
Death Shroud 1.04 1.17 4
Murky Cloud 0.104 1.17 4
Obsidian Shield 0.104 1.17 4
Dark Regeneration 33.8 1.17 30
Cloak of Darkness 0.13 1.17 20
Cloak of Fear 2.6 1.17 4
Oppressive Gloom 0.156 1.17 8
Soul Transfer 0 1.17 300

END = Base Endurance Cost
ACT = Activation Time
RCHG = Base Recharge Time

You're wasting your time. Reason, fairness, and other silly things like that are foreign concepts to developers. Remember, such foes are the equivalents their characters, and they're not going to gimp their characters vs. the Enemy (players).

I trust you'll be happy to learn that I changed Ballista based on feedback in this thread.

[/ QUOTE ]Heh, would be funny if Ballista was made even more powerful.

AM, Ante meridian, is morning. Since the new day officially starts at midnight, it is 12:00 am.

[/ QUOTE ]Straight from the NIST:
[ QUOTE ]
Are noon and midnight 12 a.m. or 12 p.m.?

This is perhaps the trickiest time question of them all. The best answer is that the terms 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. cause confusion and should not be used.

To illustrate this, consider that "a.m." and "p.m." are abbreviations for "ante meridiem" and "post meridiem." They mean "before noon" and "after noon," respectively. Of course, noon is neither before nor after noon; it is simply noon. Therefore, neither the "a.m." nor "p.m." designation is correct. On the other hand, midnight is both 12 hours before noon and 12 hours after noon. Therefore, either 12 a.m. or 12 p.m. could work as a designation for midnight, but both would be ambiguous.

To get around the problem, the terms 12 noon and 12 midnight should be used instead of 12 a.m. and 12 p.m. For example, a bank might be open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Or, a grocery store might be open daily until midnight. If you are making schedules, times such as 12:01 a.m. (one minute after midnight), or 11:59 p.m. (one minute before midnight) also can eliminate ambiguity. This method is used by the railroads and airlines.

Actually this is a bug. Mancusans are only supposed to spawn in Telenphier Conax missions. It will be resolved in the next server fission.

[/ QUOTE ]NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Rollback the fission. We were farming Mancusans in those missions, darnit! Now what'll we do?? Nerf, nerf, nerf, that's the answer to everything these days.

Hover also acts as knockback/knockdown protection. That's my favorite reason to take it. I get hit, I flip, and continue my attack chain without pause.

[/ QUOTE ]I can see it now... "Hover was never intended to provide knockdown protection."
