Troller: Illusion / Empathy, with focus on healing/buffing with light control on the side.
Defender: FF / PSY Forcebubble, Dispertion Bubble and Detention Field, I dont really care that much about the rest.
Tanker: Ice / Nrg
Scrapper: Spines / SR
Blaster: Ice / Nrg
I cant really see what this team cant deal with. You can switch the defender with an Empath and take a storm or a FF troller. But I think it will work better this way.
EDIT: But as Hobo pointed out, its allway player above build.
EDIT: I dont know enough about Villain ATs to figure that one out. -
Empath in most cases. It depends on what secondary the trollers has and who my team members are.

They suffer too much from mezzes. You should exchange 1 for a dedicated kin buffer.

This is what often happens when sanity inc or paragon defenders and groups like this enter the PvPzones, they are 4-8 people all working together. When they fight 4 vs. 8 villains normally it isnt 4 vs 8. its 4 vs. 1 just comming faster. And that is why he villains allways loose in the PvPzones. I have yet to see a villain sg working together, the corruptors "forget" to buff and heal, the stalkers and brutes dont protect the corr's, doms and MMs. -
All blaster teams suffer from mezzes, normally there are ways arround the alpha-strike. Pulling being 1 of them. But as soons as you fight large groups of people with mezzes you begin to die. Carnies and Malta are prime examples.

Well what kind of debuffs are you talking about? tohit debuffs? well fortitude, tactics, defence debuffs(radiation infection, tornado, quicksand and so on). Lots of other powers too.
Slows, well this one only really have speed boost which is why kin's are allmost needed at higher level PvP. A few sets have resistance to slows like SR and Ice. AB from empathy has protection to slows aswell, but trying to cover a team with AB is quite hard.
Most things have a counter in this game, infact I can hardly think of a thing that doesnt. Teleport is one of the few things I cant remember a counter for.

None of those anti-debuff things are available to MY character personally - when Im alone. I meant that suppression prevents excessive use of hold/disorient/sleep/fear/etc but nothing there against debuffs. Worst are -speed and -fly (I cant get away) and -recharge and -acc(i can't fight back). Therefore, I go down.

Well the devs have allways said PvP is a "team" sport.. And taunt isnt supressed, you can perma taunt some1.

Thank you all!!!, its means alots to me having a post congratuating me. For me the leveling is just something that happends inbetween all the PvP fights and actually I thought at lvl 49 that lvl 50 was still a long way off. But I was lucky to have a team full a friends that got me that last ways to level 50.
About what you said about my blapper skills Im happy, It has taken along time perfecting attack chains and ways to attack. Every new power tooks hours to implements in my style.
And for you Extremus Im happy you covered my back on my last bar to level 50, I knew that no matter what punishment I received I would all ways get a heal. And the perma fortitude was nice.
For you Tainted Greek that you posted was cool, lets face it your the most famous guy on defiant and that you would take the time to make a post is absolutly brilliant.
Thank you Empath for the kind words about my blapping you are without doubt one of the truely greats in this game.

What is there left to beat then? Is Spines the ultimate PvP build? I've been beaten before by not-so-uber PvP builds as the above.
What's the biggest PvE challenge in the game? Hamidon? Give me a break all there is to that is getting enough Controllers or ripping the latest strategy off of the yanks.

I dont run, Ill fight 8 vs. 1.(And often have) But expect me to sometimes leave and stock up on inspirations to have a chance to charge in.

Not blapping is reducing you potential damage output by quite possibly 50%. Why play a scrapper, when you could grow some balls and play a blapper !(points to all the 'Empathy is Boring' threads around - at least you can give the empaths something to do.)

I got screamed at by an empath cause I took all her healing power. I just pushed harder cause I had an empath backing me, if the team actually was in danger I would expect the troller to get heals but we werent. So I guess some emps like having nothing to do. -

power boost does enhance damage... it boosts all seconday functions of any power for a give time, the secondary function of aim is a 25% damage increase... so therefore it increases the damage of the eventual attack especially when coupled with build up...

Just tested and NO it does not enhance damage. Powerboost enhances secondary effects, not primary effects. Damage is a primary effect. -

Didnt you know Empath that you are required to stand still and let a person hit you when he uses build up. Infact the only way to PvP is to get 2 people to stand next to eachother and use their attacks until 1 of them is dead. You ofcourse have to wait if 1 looses any toggles cause its unfair to hit a man without toggles. -
Well scrappers do actually have more damage when they crit. A blapper can easily maintain a much higher damage, but once in a while you get those crits and blaster damage is under crits.
The most destructive thing is the game is a crit headsplitter, I think its the only attack left that can given special circumstances actually 1 hit kill anything in PvP.
bu + headsplitter < (powerboost does not enhance damage) aim + bu + Total Focus < bu + Headsplitter crit. -

A mistake I think, it give good smash and nrg resistance and those types of damage arent exactly uncommen. -
Well you can allways try to raid the PDs, we dont mind rebuilding as long as we also get to kick people arround.

The problem is as allways how to ballance a game. Toggle droppers are what blasters get cause of their lag of everything else except damage. Scrappers(the other damage) have protections and ok defences and much higher Hp, what do the blasters get in return? A bit higher damage and a way to remove defences. As a blaster I can tell you will die more than a scrapper you will have to bring BFs cause you have no mez protection.
Blaster werent given defences cause they were given the means to remove them. I think that is very fair.
So who wins a scrapper without defences or a blaster? bit lower damage and higher hp) or highger damage and lower hp. Its ballances out.
Who wins a tank or a blaster, well much higher hp and moderate damage against low hp and high damage? about the same.
Trollers and defenders are support and have access to completly different power and ways to win. -
Hm thought about it...CoH is too dynamic/fast for this solution to work.

I havent read the thread except the first post, I dont like the fact about no travel powers it overpowers the scrappers. People can buy arena temp power if they dont have enough inf Ill happily give it away. The temp powers give you all the travelpowers except ss. I dont have anything against switching off invis but then again I dont use invis.
But anyway if there is PvP then Im there. -
2 Defiant teams is comming I think.
If people are interested in PvP and what PvP looks like if you get alot of experienced players together I highly suggest you come watch. I know that if I werent playing I would come and watch. -
Rate it for what? as an overall try to do everything a bit of PvE a bit of PvP. For min / max? Seriously you cant rate another persons build, I can just point obvious slotting errors and places where your build lag synergy between powers.
Like 3 recharge is needed in AIM. better with 2 tohit and 3 recharge.
Your armour max needs 2 end red. You get a smaller return for each end red the end save on the third slot is nothing. And knockback distance in whirlwind is the wrong way to go, better use 3 end and live with that. -
No its a good set, lots of aoe and stuff. The long animations and drawanimation kills it in PvP though, well it isnt that bad it just isnt the best.
