  1. I certainly haven't stopped. It's a good thing I didn't have to work today. I drive for a living and it could have been really bad.
  2. I am very sad to see this happen. But I am very proud to have met everyone that I have met. I am proud to have called the Justice server my home for 8 years. I will always have the memories of fun gaming moments and the time chatting on vent/TS. I am proud to be a member of The Lords of Chaos, Imperium, and Pandemonium.

I have only met 2 of the numerous people that I have had the pleasure of playing with in real life. But I feel like all of those people are real life friends. They have had a permanent impact on me. I will always remember them. I still keep in touch with some of them.

I will not say goodbye here, because I have already done so in a more personal fashion- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw9ja...&feature=g-upl

I really hope at least 1 of the efforts being made to keep the game alive pans out. No other game will probably have the effect on me that this one has.
  3. This just happened to my league on Justice. When I tried to log back in I made it to the character select screen and chose my character. When I tried to enter the game I got instantly kicked back to the log in screen. A pop-up appeared and said I have been kicked.

I restarted the NCLauncher and restarted the game and it fixed it then found out the rest of the league was also kicked and we logged into a lvl 11 mission another player was running. When we all exited we we found out that we were all rolled back so we earned nothing.
  4. Slightly off-topic... it's nice to see so many fellow Ohioans playing this game.
  5. The best way to tell if the problem is the game servers is if anyone that is NOT using Time Warner has a problem connecting. Unless there is some bad blood between NCSoft/Paragon Studios and TW causing one to block the other, my guess is TW has an issue they need to fix internally.

    Time Bomb?

Attacks do break stealth... but mines don't count as attacks. They are summons. Summons do NOT break stealth.
  7. Beam rifle does great damage... you just need to use Disintegrate. All of your attacks after that will do high damage and apply debuffs. As for AVs... you're a corruptor, all corr secondaries have at least one debuff. I wouldn't worry too much about the debuffs in your primary.
  8. Personally I have had no problem with the legacy or the NCSoft launcher except that I've always looked at the NCSoft launcher as an extra step between me and my game. As far as performance I don't see much of a difference. My only question about it is "what was the point of the launcher?"

But again, that's because I don't see a difference either way. The only answer I can think of is that it's a marketing decision to shove the NCSoft brand down our throats. When ever you open the launcher you are forced to be made aware that they make/publish other games too, whether you care about them or not.

But still I don't feel effected by this at all since I have never used Linux and CoX is one of the few games that I have always gone out to a store and bought the box. I am a huge fan of Steam but for some reason I like having the boxes for this game. I don't care about anything inside the box and I'm not a "art guy" so the cover art means nothing to me... I just like having the discs and the boxes for this specific game and it's expansions.
  9. I would like to vote for Origins AND Gen Con... I would be able to attend either of those.

Maybe even the Chicago one but it would require slightly more effort. Then again... Chicago is probably a way more interesting place itself than Indianapolis or Columbus (been to both... meh).

So, all 3 of those get a vote from me. :-)
  10. All this on top of the fact that I recently lost ALL of my 7.6+ BILLION INF on redside in an email to myself cuz the email system ate it for a late night snack leads me to think that GR better be A-FREAKING-MAZING if I am to continue to be loyal to this game.

I might just be blowing off steam right now, but... WTF!!!!
  11. I really wouldn't be angry if I still had time to make it to PAX East but releasing this info LONG AFTER that event is over is just a really poor decision, I will not fly out from the buckeye state for a one day event even though I had in-game friends that I planned on meeting unless they wanna still want me to come to do other things, but not just for the meet and greet itself. Extremely poor timing with this decision, they should have went through with the Hero Con this year and did this "goin on the road" thing next year.
  12. Sooo... I been saving up all this money to go to the big show and it turns out I should have just went to PAX east... OGRE SMASH!!!!!!!!! *smashes computer desk in peices*

    WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My whole vacation plans down the tubes. Thanks a lot. Instead of spending my vacation actually leaving town and going on a vacation I guess I'll just do as usual and just sit at home and enjoy not being at work.

Are you kidding? That's the kind of thing that would make me wanna show up even more! And I'm gonna be SOBER!!! It will make things interesting... as if Justice ever needed help with interesting broadcast chat!
  14. IMO the grenade is not as skippable as some would think. Like a lot of powers you just need to use it at the right times. Like against a wall or in a corner. Just because you have the power doesn't mean you have to use it whenever it's recharged if you're in a open outdoor map. Also, it's another AoE... that's rarely a bad thing.

But if you find that you don't like it, get rid of it (you get it pretty early so you don't have to wait long to figure it out and respec).

As far as your natural concept goes, you could get a little creative and put some type of tech gloves on your character and then you can choose any type of blast set and just say the gloves are your weapons. Basically, just because you want to make a normal, natural, human character does not mean you are stuck to AR/traps, or Arch/TA.
  15. I might just move everything but my mind/kin and my WS to vills. Including my PB even though bringing peace to the Isles seems nuts. It's just more familiar to me. I have the 66 month badge (69 soon) and since I started playing vills in I6 and pretty much gave up on heroes, and we are headed toward the 6th month anniversary, I have spent way more time on red side. Also, I like the character concepts that I come up with for evil characters more than my lame ideas for heroes.

After all, you can't possibly tell me that Batman, no matter what actor is playing him, has ever been cooler than a properly played Joker. And Lobo is way cooler than pretty much any character ever!
  16. You could just wait for GR and make a brute on hero side. Ultimate damage cap AND really good defenses. Your defensive numbers will be the same as a scrapper when ur not buffed, but on a team with defense or resistance buffs (brutes have the same resistance cap as tanks, after buffs) you will feel like a god. Brutes are like the genetic combination of a gazelle and a gorilla fused together... like a gazerilla! Or a Gorizelle! A fast levelling AT that deals tons of damage AND doesn't tend to die a lot.

(EDIT) When I say "Ultimate damage cap" I mean it... 300% when not buffed (most other ATs cap at 300% AFTER buffs, blaster's cap I think is like 450% after buffs), and after buffs you can hit 750% as a brute!!!!
  17. I guess I'm the only person that lives and dies by taunt. I frickin love it. My attitude toward playing brutes is tank 1st, SMASH! 2nd. But I tend to play tanks and brutes like I play my trollers and doms. Basically I use aggro as my controlling power. Thus, the harder I work to get aggro and do crowd control, the easier my teammates can do what they do. Heck, on my tanks I don't even get attacks... they are all primary, taunt (and just taunt) and pool powers (fighting and medicine).

If I am doing my job to my standards and I am tough enough/have enough support to handle the aggro and make sure no one else gets attacked then controlling powers really aren't needed on my team, just buffs/debuffs and damage. Just simply getting and holding aggro might not be fun for most but I simply can't get enough of it.

Also, due to this style my fury is always sky-high, which isn't my goal but it is nice.

    ...

You gotta start finding out who's responsible for your school's crappy IT department and start punching faces until you get your way.

DISCLAIMER: I am a violent ogre and doing what I say may get you in serious trouble so do so at your own risk. I am not responsible for any and all reactions caused by punching anyone in the face or any other acts of assault.
  19. I've never seen anyone or even myself have had any trouble holding aggro with mudpots unless the player just sucked. but, of course I have it slotted with at least 1 taunt SO (I made him to tank, not for damage, so I didn't slot any damage in mudpots even though he is a brute.)

    Fire/SR help

Here is what I have so far, it brings my numbers to 44.7% for melee and ranged, and 43% for AoE. This build also includes the entire primary and secondary, but I am open to dropping a primary power or two. I would prefer to keep the entire secondary.

    Fire/SR help

I have a Fire/SR brute that I want to soft cap on def. I've never been able to figure out max def builds on mids and was wondering if anyone could send me a good one. My only criteria are that I want as many attacks as possible, and I would like to keep the number of toggles limited to just the SR toggles but only if possible. Also, I do have the 63 month vet badge.

    TY in advance!
  22. I have a question: how much game time, if any, did you all get this year? And do I have to supply my own machine?

Next year I am PMing a few of you my cell phone number, so you can force me to hang out with the group. I have no idea why I am so wickedly shy and afraid to break the ice, but I usually can't manage this on my own. I'm pretty sure I'm a cool person to be around after that initial stage, it's just getting there thats the hard part!

    See you all next year!

Pope, have no fear... you and I WILL hang next year! Already saving up money... probably more than I will need but more money=more fun!
  24. I really need to read the forums more... I just saw this thread and after seeing how much fun Hero-Con was and how represented Justice was, I really wish I could attend your event this year but I am scheduled to work.

With that being said, I intend to do whatever I need to make it to Hero-Con next year and maybe the Thanksgiving event also, since I live in Ohio.
  25. Well, I have 2 accounts and have tried everything. I have been forced to make powersets over again and again if I want to make a new character. I am not fond of doing a powerset again just to do it on another AT. Also, I am open to trying all ATs (I have played each AT at least into the 30s and am still working on them).

Maybe because I have played for so long and have a 60 month account and a 27 month account each with multiple 50s and I play my characters through almost all of the time. I know there are people with more accounts and more characters that somehow are happy with proliferation, but I am not!

It's not like there aren't a truckload of great ideas for powersets here in the forums. Every once in a while the easiest of them gets chosen and implemented. Even if it's not a set I want, it's something, I would just like to see it more often.
