Things i learned at the 09 HeroCon...

First off i wanna let the entire Justice Server know that we were definitely the most representative server at the con! JUSTICE REPRESENT!!!!!!!!


The Con gets better every year. The first year was a simple M&G at Dave and Busters that totally overwhelmed both the establishment and the COH staff so they made it into a Con. The second year we had our Friday night and a full day of awesomeness and this year it went on the whole weekend. I hope it continues to get better as it goes on. Was looking forward to this all year and it never disappoints. Great meeting up with all of ya. Sorry if it was short at times as it felt like a speed dating session with 30 seconds with each date lol.

Tremorr was as always an awesome host and simply wanted to leave his mark on the rest of us through massive quantities of great food and massive quantities of alcohol. Thanks for everything Trem. Hope ya never change


I could go through a huge list of names but i am sure i would miss someone so i'll skip that and go right to the list of things i learned

• PARKING FEES SUCK!!!! *ahem*

• Never say ma'am when you are being hit on by an older lady no matter what...

• Liz is just as much a smart alec in real life as she is online. As much of a sweety too

• There really is a Mr Justice!! His name starts with a color and he freaking rocks!!

• Sleeping in a Honda Civic isn't as bad as i thought it would be

• Tremorr can be defeated by a massage lol

• Somber really can drink too much

• The real TJ showed up this year and he really is as old as we all thought he was...

• Sassy can make an impression from 8000 miles away, shes that awesome!

• Devs drink when they are called out on something thats hard to answer

• All ya need for a costume and a win is a suit with a logo on it

• Devs and Mods actually use resources that members of the community create

• warwitch lost so much weight she became invisible even from 2 feet away

• Bucca created their restaurant in a science lab

• Did i mention parking fees suck?

• The Midnighters Club is as hard to find in real life as it is in the game

• Flamed can sleep through anything

• Meg wants me more than ever

• Arachanos really do wear pink

• "Double D" is da freaking mac daddy!

• "Sexy Jay" still isn't sexy but funny as ever!

• The word "ULTRA" makes my video card wince

What did I Learn? Hmmm...

Meg licks like a girl...
Karo is awesome for putting on make-up...
Getting lost isn't so bad when the car is full of win...
Surprisingly, stealing someone's water won't get you hit...
If I ever want to stop drinking, I just need to find a bad KJ...
To elaborate on one of TA's points, when a cougar is called ma'am, she becomes very agitated...

Was it just me, or was that guy not entirely pleased that she drew attention to the fact he was going home with her?

He only mentioned me 'cause I gave him arts (and a hard time). ;p

"Ma'am"....never a good thing. I thought she was going to jump over the table to get to you. Notice how quick someone disappeared to the bathroom no sooner he heard you say that? LOL he wasn't sticking around. All I could do was laugh. As soon as it came out of your mouth I knew you were in serious trouble.

As far as the guy she was with. I think we all saw the same thing. He couldn't get the hell out of there quick enough. After a couple of tugs on her arm to get her moving along didn't work I think he just figured he was stuck until she decided she was ready to go.

This isn't my first HeroCon, but it's the first in which I made any effort to be social with my fellow Justicers. (I'm very glad I did so.) Therefore, I paid more attention to the people than I ever had in the past.

The Devs seem to like their jobs.

Every time I see Posi, he's wearing that cape. I'm starting to worry about him. Does he wear it around the studio? At home? To the grocery store?

BaconLordBob is very serious about his bacon. It's not an act.

Avatea is striking and when she talks it sounds like singing.

I could have sworn Le Guilletine was a 22-year old college dude. He isn't.

The meat WAS turkey.

Going Rogue is really going to rock.

I want to level up with Ms. Liberty. Again and again.

Mekkanos is awesome.

Justice is the best server.

Things I learned at the Hero Con... btw, I am never SFW. If you have stomach issues or a light constitution, you may want to go watch the Shield or Son of Anarchy for a break from the hard stuff.

NEVER EAT OFF THE ROOM SERVICE TRAYS LEFT IN THE HALLWAYS!!!! I heard someone did that, it takes a LOT to sicken me. If the sight of already eaten food makes you hungry, you should stop drinking immediately!

Justice not only represents, but we can drink like a barroom full of sailors. I am very proud of all of you!

The food at last years dinner was much, much better.

Pants are a complete waste of time and money.

Joe Morrisey is extremely cool, also Clark who ran the resume review was very kind and helpful.

I think the devs are somewhat scared to drink with us, after the fourth round, I noticed that they all sort of ... left.

As TA said, Parking Fees for people who are spending money in your hotel is an obvious and atrocious ripoff. Doubltree looses class points for that nonsense.

Also, charging 8 dollars for a beer and ten for a shot is next to criminal. These were the prices in the event rooms, they prices were two dollars less in the lobby bar... that does not make too much sense, but 8 dollars for a pot of Tea and 4 dollars for a small bottle of WATER is just silly. Many of the people going to these events are already on a budget, is it more important to make the guest happy with their stay or get the two or 3 extra dollars per item out of them.

The real TJ is a true Texas gentleman. I have seen through his act, I think he has a career in audio books readin Louis L'Amour novels. He was a great addition to the weekend.

Noticing that Sass was not there... AGAIN!!! Just not as fun without you slapping my face...

I am going back to Buca, and I swear to all that is Tremorr, I am going to find something there that sucks if I have to stay there all week!! When I do go back, the first thing I am going to do is have them show me where the bathroom is so TA and I don't end up somewhere in Utah looking for it.

Next year, we will try and sit further away from the Night Club to avoid 1) Shroud getting molested by erroneous blue hairs (or bleached blondes). 2) Not seeing some guy with the worst hairdo I have seen in a decade. It was like a comb over, except he combed it around the back so it looked like some faux ceasar's crown with turkey grease to cement it in place. And then he tied the two ends together in the back so it looked like a runny shoelace. I'd rather go back to last years hotel and look at the rotten broccoli they had decorating the lobby.

Flamedwarrior has this wierd little thing for her contacts, it stares back at you... bizarre.

The Doubltree has some very nice, patient, caring, professional and somewhat humorous waitstaff in the hotel lobby.

Sleep is just slightly more important than Bacon Waffles, I will try next year or maybe go down there with some buddies some Sunday afternoon to see how big pigs we are.

I learned there is a huge Bay Area Justice contingent, we need to exploit this and have some "mini-cons", I know this bar called Lost Island in Alameda...

And lastly, and I may forget some names, but I was drinking too... the con is much better with friends like: Flamed, TA, Somber, Shroud, Syren, Sage, Freek, Manoa, Red G, TJ, Diamond Dragoon, Neutra, Syrus B/Liz, Frog, Megs from Stockton Group and her husband, Dark Respite and her decadent brownies, and the Devs of course.

I have managed to miss more of the last two years con's than attend, but this I have learned - and I realize not actually from the 09 HeroCon ... uh ... nm ... carry on .. nod and smile ...

The COH community has never failed to impress me.

The COH dev and community gang have always been warm and interactive - far more so than I would have anticipated.

This is the first game of this sort I have ever played, and I see no point in going elsewhere. This really is a fun, warm, mostly intelligent and even occasionally witty group and I am proud to be a justicite and to have been missed.


War Witch really is a cool chica, .... AND she likes to add 'u's to her spelling, so I love her.

I don't advise people to fall in love online ... it has too many pot holes and complications and is highly inadvisable. However, as it happens, I also fell in love through this game, and it's been several years and I am more in love with TA than ever. The first M&G that we went to was a bit ephemeral, as people kept asking to take our picture! It was wonderful and heartwarming to be welcomed as a couple into a community that, up until then, had existed alongside our romance in the virtual world.

I learned that people in this game are, from my personal experience, almost all damned good!
