Connection Issues from Time Warner?

Anyone on east coast having any issues? North East Ohio?

Game gets to login then thats where issues start. Getting the whole check firewall settings, check server status prompt. I was able to get in twice this AM and then when i zoned it hung on loading screen the game up mapserver disconnected.


Also sporadic issues loading the webpage and forums. Sometimes get the page can not be displayed.

Happening on more then one PC.
Directly connected to the modem bypassing all routers and firewalls.

I'm getting the same problems.

I got booted out with the "mapserver disconnected" error. Now I can log in but when I select a server it tells me there's a problem with the dbserver connection.

I don't have any problems getting to any other websites, but the server status website doesn't want to respond.

I'm in South West Ohio.

Same, forums really slow also. Not having issues with other web content, ah well an excuse to go pick up Skyrim,.... not that I really need one.

Time Warner cable here, and I'm in Kansas City Kansas...I'm seeing exactly what you're reporting:

1) Can't login
2) Try again...Can login!
3) Can't connect to justice
4) Try again...can connect to justice
5) Pick a character
6) Zone....DBServer can't be reached

well one thing is for sure.. I still can't get the NC Launcher to connect to the actual game. It keeps saying it times out as well. I contacted Time Warner tech support and they of course say that there's no outage in the New York area.. and yet it seems this isn't an isolated incident. AHHH! MUST.. put on SPANDEX!..

Having exactly same issues here as well.. just out of Cleveland. And here I have been swearing at the COH gods that be.

Managed to get in once and had an odd additional graphical issue in game.

Game screen came up with large blocky text in upper left corner of screen saying "physx-gpu". Wasn't there last night. The new odd graphical issue, slow or no connect issues to anything City of Heroes related, and the last patch that shouldn't have gone live for other reasons, suggests to me it isn't just Time Warner.

Time will tell I guess, methinks NC Soft needs to do a rollback asap.

cant login either, let me go to the server sometimes, then get a message,about the server being down.

NE Ohio here. Can't connect to DB Server. Was able to once, about 10AM. Then when I tried to zone from Cap Au Diable to Grandville, it never completed. Thought maybe it was just the one server, so I restarted and tried a different server and keep getting cant connect to DB server.

Okay! UPDATE! I got off the line with Time Warner, after quite a few little tricks which included pinging the site.. and tracerouting all over the continental US it seems.. They seem to think that it's the server for the game. I also tried to call the support line for the game, but it says that they are CLOSED! heh.

I'm not pointing any fingers or anything but the trace route went el smacko kablewey when it got to Dallas.. I am NOT saying that something is down in Dallas, but wow. I went from New York to Chicago to Dallas to.. ::smacks wall::

Of course now when I try to launch the game the launcher at first hiccups, and then it will log me in and HANG at the server selection screen. It is a good day for a movie. A very good day I suppose! I laughed when the time warner lady's suggestion was "try again in a couple of hours".

Kansas City, MO and time warner. Same problems, can't log in, then can, get to server select and it hangs and logs out.

Friend of mine in Kansas City Kansas is having the same issues.

dayton/enon ohio area, having some problems, especially when zoneing. tried reinstall coh.and reinstalled the drivers Nvidia.

flushed dns

cleared cache

swore at computer

raged at the machine.

it laughs at me

it also says unable to connect to login server.

if i get in sometimes it locks at char select screen after selecting char.

If i get in zoning into misson solo is about 50 50. itrial 100% fail.

Me too - it's beyond frustrating. Cleveland Akron area on Time Warner Cable. The few tims I do manage to log in, I end up disconnecting from mapserver when I try to join a map.. or change zones.. or pretty much play a game

No CoH for me at this point, it's unplayable.

It's been so long since I've looked at the CoH launcher. Where do you find the addresses the launcher's trying to talk to?

Central/Eastern KY with Time Warner here, having the same problems. It let me get to the character select screen a couple of times before cutting me off but since then i can't even get past the log in screen.

Tho THIS time they told me the following: "We are currently experiencing problems with the "Browsing websites, DNS issues and others" and you will not be able to Browse websites, DNS Issues, Other. If you're a time warner customer and you're having difficulty.. call in and ask for credit for the day since the service is not working as intended! It's not much but it's a little off the bill! They said that it will be "resolved as soon as possible".

I'm also in the Cleveland area, Time Warner customer, experiencing everything the same as other folks in this thread. I was swearing at CoH today, but glad to find out (sorta) that the problem likely lies elsewhere. However, I also am having a heck of a time accessing the forums. This was probably my third attempt to log in, and finally had success.
