Fire/SR help
Here is what I have so far, it brings my numbers to 44.7% for melee and ranged, and 43% for AoE. This build also includes the entire primary and secondary, but I am open to dropping a primary power or two. I would prefer to keep the entire secondary.

Going by the numbers you posted, pick one slot from Elude, put it in BU, trade the set for a Gaussian set, and you should be softcapped.
Or instead take the 6th slot from Evasion (dropping the End/Rech enhancement) and move it to Elude, slot with BotZ set for +range, and +aoe.
Reaching the softcap is a lot easier if you pick up tough/weave. With tough, you can slot a steadfast 3% IO, for 3% defense to everything, and with weave you get around 5.67% defense to all.
As for things to drop to make room:
Elude - if you're softcapped, this won't be very useful with the majority of the game.
Scorch or Fire Sword - You don't need that many attacks
Taunt - If you're still wanting to keep taunt, you can probably just take tough and slot in a steadfast to make life easier and hit the cap without it.

I'm softcapped to all positions without the use of Weave. I also have 364% regen or 27.7 HP/sec. This brute is very durable.
I have a Fire/SR brute that I want to soft cap on def. I've never been able to figure out max def builds on mids and was wondering if anyone could send me a good one. My only criteria are that I want as many attacks as possible, and I would like to keep the number of toggles limited to just the SR toggles but only if possible. Also, I do have the 63 month vet badge.
