Have you run you're standered sweeps. Anti-virus, defrag, registry cleaner?
And a program like TuneUp Utilities can fix a world of problems. -
Quote:Wow seeing them like that just make the old ones look crappy by comparison. I wonder when they are going to update the hero primes looks.Uhh... yeah. This.
I hope this piece is propaganda and not an attempt at cannon info, because it would greatly contradict established canon.
And makes me wonder if and when we are going to get the option for cleavage like that for our toons. -
Plant them holographicly right in the center of each. Or better yet merge the teleporters. Were going to need the space with any SG having the potential to TP to Not only red and blue zones but yellow as well.

Quote:Don't forget the reversed colors.Would have been cool if you could save the double, and you commit the ultimate sacrifice. Your double's last words being "I will protect your world." And from that moment on you play your double. Same enhancement, level, everything. And besides you and the contact, people around you will never know.
No technical difference whatsoever, but chilling from a storyline perspective. -
-
And? So? Some people are suggesting that we pay for vet rewards. So why not do the reverse and use vet rewards to get something you pay for? After all we are already playing for those 3 months. 3 months equal one vet reward, once transfer, or one slot.

Quote:And what when they get to that 3.5 year make should they get there money back? You know that actually is a really good idea. This will make it so that when people just join in they can have some of the stuff they were not here for, like waiting 3.5 years for the pre-order CoV helmets.Their actual vet level will stay the say and this way the Vets can get it for FREE as a veterans reward. While the others will just have to wait.
Maybe only allow them to buy stuff up to a year or two from where they actually are?
P.S. Another idea would be to allow them to pay to double their vet level. That way there won't be any cherry picking, and they will still have something to look forward to. So every 3 months when they get a new level they can pay extra to add another level. Considering what is offered, $5 to $7.50 charge per upgrade might not be such a bad idea considering how many there are and what is really offered, as it is clearly less than an average booster.
Eddit: Fixed the spelling. I usually check it. : / -
Quote:Sure you can just hold it's dead under water and when it stops moving it's had enough. WhahahahahaYeah... my first time playing CoH... I was actually so disinterested at first, because of just how long it took me to make my costume because of all the options available, that I didn't read one bit of the tutorial. I barely made it out of the tutorial before I gave up on the game because it just seemed so boring. That was on my brothers account.
A few months after CoV came out, I bought that and made my own account thinking it'd be more fun to destroy and kill, than protect and serve. I knew about the costume creator, and just found something I liked, hit the tutorial and... skipped through it.
To this day(I'm a 36 month vet now), I still run the tutorial every time I make a new character, and I still have no idea what's in those windows that keep popping up.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. -
Quote:Not if those points could also be spent on caricature slots, transfer tokens and other things that would be useful. No actually it wouldn't. Once you've used your points to cherry pick your favorite vet rewards you'll be left with looking at six years of nothing you like. Then you'll be right back here b****in and moaning that there's nothing for you to spend your points on.

Quote:First you should check the resolution of you're laptops screen. Make sure it's maxed out. After that load CoX into your main comp and go to the options menu and adjust it down. I'll keep the same size on the laptop. Once it's small enough you can refine it on the laptop. I'd recommend setting separate toon's for your laptop and PC.I just got a laptop and installed CoH on it. But, I'm stuck.
When I started up the game, the screen showing my characters was larger than the display area, such that I could not see all of the screen. I could not see the clickable icons at the bottom of the screen to enter the game, go back to the server selection screen, etc.
How can I change from full-screen mode to putting CoH in a scalable window that will fit in the display area of my laptop? Is there an option that can be specified in the startup command to specify windows mode or display size?
Thank you.
Alternatively you should be able to hook up your laptop to your PC's monitor and use that to fix the settings. -
The hero version is an alternate dimension version of you. NOT a clone. No idea from which one though. Not necessarily from any of the known ones including Pratoren.

Quote:I seem to remember something like a COH players guide. I think we got a hunk of with free with CoV.Black Pebble,
You deal with marketing right? Does that include the website and other products?
If so I'd like to request some things...
a Dosier or Encyclopedia. What i mean is something like a little electronic book type thing (could be sold as a program, a book, or a electronic device) that has information on every thing so far in CoH... mind you not a copy of the bible, but something like...
a turn around image of every character, break down of their powers, history, physical stats, and alliances, and other status.
It would be rather cool to have just for a read or to have sitting next to a PC to quick find. I'm sure people would be willing to buy it for quite a bit of money and more or less it just requires putting it together as all the pieces and information is already out there.
Another thing I'd like to see is an expansion of the CoH comics... I don't see why CoH couldn't become it's own Brand and print comics like DC or Marvel. Sure they wouldn't be as successful, but the story and lore is really great and would likely draw in more customers...more so than one comic called city of heroes ever would.
Waffles... I just want waffles please... -
Quote:Ahem: wiki.before i go on... I hate those comic encyclopedias published by the comic companies, mainly cuz they are trash for information when they cover a broad spectrum of characters... the batman encyclopedia = phenomenal... The DC encyclopedia = not worth the money.
I like digital which is why I suggested it, plus it could be updated rather easily to which would be nice...it would also function a bit more slicker and you could link between relevant things...Another reason is a little bit more cleanliness as some things are easier to put in (i'll explain in a moment) But most of all... it's just something that i think all the characters in CoH would have and it would be like making part of the game a part of reality which is a big trend in marketing now adays
See what I'd want in something like this is... something like this mock up
Then when you click on the head image you'd get a turn around (for those that don't know this is a turn around)
But that could be easily placed on a separate page... it's just not as clean. -
Some more modern refinements might be nice. I'm not talking about real world modern I mean CoX modern. We have a wold packed stem to stern with little pockets of the high tech but most of the world looks so common. Only the Aracniose citadel in Grandsville looks as advanced as the world should be and it's made by crazy evil people. Why can't the rest of the world have a little of that. Not the crazy just the high tech. A heroic equivalent of Grandville. Holographic street signs, and flying cars. Magic powered street lights, stop lights. Automatic robotic street sweepers. And freaking flying cars. :P

Quote:Details man give us details. Links how tos. step by step guides. A video on you tube. Show me. Ah,er us. Show us.This was done already, at about the same time the "City of Hero" Korean servers opened.
IIRC, there were legal issues why that couldn't be resolved for NA players to use it. But players (myself included) had found a way to make the Korean costume designer standalone tool work in the language of one's choice.
Hopefully those issues no longer apply now and this idea can get placed on the "to do" list.
Perhaps a web-based flash version as well?

The compass distance marker don't align anywhere near where I set the thumbtacks on the map.
It seams to mostly happen in arias still covered by the fog of war. -
We know they can do fog you shouldn't ask for more than that. Unless you want to be the one carrying a howl lot of metal in a thunder storm. Besides how would that effect the Storm Summoning.

Where x=infinity.
What was it said. Issue 19 would have incarnates 2-10. Didn't say there wouldn't be more later. I think it would be a fine alternative way to unlock add new things. Including incarnates the list is booster packs, vet rewards, and just giving it to us. -
Quote:Not just body parts. Need I remind you of how many... interesting uses there are for whips. :PFunny, the places I frequent use the word to describe the particular art style of anthropomorphic animals with very distinct human aesthetics and behaviors, as separate from lycanthropes and "funny animals" - but what do I know, I only draw them. Anyway, regardless of that it's still a dumb reason not to make animal parts, for the same equating-all-anime-with-hentai reason I stated before. Yes, there's a lot of creepy furry porn out there; only an idiot would deny that - but given that our current game allows you to make a male character wearing fishnet stockings, leather straps, a gimp mask, and two nipple piercings, even put some bleeding whip lash marks on him, and not get banned for it, the argument that "Anthro body parts should not be allowed because they are suggestive of depraved sexual fetishes" seems pretty ridiculous.

Could be over heating. Try cleaning out your computer.

(Whistles shrilly.) Quit arguing. (Like that will ever happen. :P )
What makes you think that the incarnate system has anything to do with making your toons stronger.
I don't remember where I heard or read it but it was mentioned that the incarnate feature would do good things for your toons and alts. So there's no telling what it might be. It could unlock new power, power pools, travel powers, costumes, ATs, and Bob knows what else. We realy don't have enough information to even begin to attempt to speculate as to what the incarnate system is.
I could even bee all the things above and more. Incarnate lvl 1 get this thing incarnate lvl 2-x gets other things.
As for the coming storm since everything related to it has to do with Oroborus it probaly has to do with time travle. Probaly where we get the space staion we were once promised.
Maybe even (pure speculation) a Japanese and western castles. -
Quote:Oh I know that definition. But that doesn't explain why they are getting so upset with the anthropomorphic toon idea. That's why I had to look it up. It's the more XXX definition that people seen to be bringing up.What you probably looked up isn't the right definition:
Let me phrase it this way. Walt Kelly was a Furry. Chuck Jones was a Furry. Walt Disney was a Furry. Tex Avery was a Furry. Bill Watterson is a Furry. Frank Oz is a Furry. Jim Henson was a Furry. Jim Davis is a Furry.
Being a "furry" simply means connecting with, or just simply liking Anthropromorphic Animals. It's one of the most difficult perceptions "furry's" have to deal with since that definition isn't used by people in Hollywood (e.g. CSI), or by people in the so called Drive-By-Media (e.g. Reuters, Associated Press, CNN, NBC, MicrosoftNBC, ABC, CBS)
And if you didn't get impact from the names of those people, here's what they created:
Walt Kelly drew Pogo Possum
Chuck Jones drew Loony Toons.
Walt Disney drew Mickey Mouse
Tex Avery drew Loony Toons
Bill Watterson drew Calvin and Hobbs
Frank Oz voices the Muppets
Jim Henson created the Muppets
Jim Davis draws Garfield
