I dont think there's an in-game explanation for our loss of power when we exemplar, the time travel thing is only in Orobouros.

I think that any kind of explanation would probably suck big time.

It's a meta-gaming system to keep us challenged and allow us to play with our friends no matter the character levels.

    And it's awesome!

As for the OP's suggestion, personally I dont have a problem with the alpha slot being available at all level with the usual exemplar reductions.
  5. Someone asked that question at the Pummit and I think it was Second Measure who answered that considering the number of crime fighting strippers we already have running around, the Devs are kinda nervous allowing us to fully customize our minions and end up with hordes of crime fighting strippers.

But they could allow us to choose from ready-to-order-around set of minions.

So it's possible, not promised or even in the works...

Street sweeping drop rates will need to be attractive enough to be an option, but not enough to be the first choice for getting Incarnate rewards.
What if every mob use the rikti invasion / giant monster system and are always on par with us, level shift or no level shift?

It might also be possible for the Devs to set the mobs at player lvl +1 instead of even con...
  7. Nope, I sell all the enhancers I get to the closest vendor I can find and slot common IOs from lvl 12 up to lvl 50 mixing set IOs when I can get them at the correct level.

I wish the Devs would make transferring stuff easier between my characters.

Nope, I did not read that, neither did you. It's what you wanted to read.

and what I read there is that a dual pistol AT will be able to unlock the pistols, not buy the recipe, after running the trial for X empyrean merits.

So if you want a non-incarnate character with Maelstrom's pistols, you need the recipe drop whether you get them yourself or buy them on the AH.

Yes I know that current leveling pact were unaffected by the removal of the pact feature and I would guess that leveling pact between 2 premium characters are still functional too.

Assuming that they were removed because the Devs dont want free / premium players to use leveling pact but be VIP only, what should be the behavior of the system with accounts changing status, that was the point of my question and , still guessing, the main thing the Devs need to decide.

I would make them free for VIP, unlocked at tier 6-7 maybe. Available for up to 8 characters of lvl 5 maximum.

And I guess that's what the Devs want too, but they did not have the time to implement a solution for Freedom.

What happen if level pacted VIPs drop to premium? or just one? Do you break the pact or disable XP for both?

So I hope that's the "problem".

I'd like to see level pact back, with up to 8 characters. Personally I'd leave it at lvl 5 maximum.

Yeah, Necrotech_Master said the same thing, this is why I changed the suggestion in the OP to hopefully make remote market access possible in bases.
  13. I'd like to see new archetypes based on these.

The powersets could be similar to the Soldiers of Arachnos, a common base with a couple of specialized and mutually exclusive branches at higher level.
  14. Considering that the hero merits are already gated by a timer from tip missions per day, the SSA per week and whatever other conversion options we have, do we really need an extra timer of 20 hours on getting recipes?

I dont see any difference between buying stuff one per day Vs stacking merits until we have enough to get all the recipes we want.

I'd like that timer to be removed.
  15. There's a great option that allows us to lock powers in trays so we dont drag them around when clicking madly during combat.

I'd like to be able to keybind it to toggle it on/off quickly, but I didnt find either a slash command to do that or the options in the keybind panel.
  16. Ok, in light of the information provided by Necrotech_Master, here a new suggestion.

Given that the actual auction house remote access feature put a lot of stress when used in instances and assuming that the major part of the problem is the bazillion recipes, enhancers, inspirations, what have you for sale and not our personal stuff on the market, a new base item could be added, a terminal that would give us limited access to the AH, only showing us our "Stored" and "Bought" tabs. So we could only take out and put back in items, but removing the "post" and "find" buttons.

    That's the old suggestion.

So if you've playing forever or if you drop a lot of cash in the store, you can the awesome ability to call the auction house panel from anywhere... almost.

We used to be able to access it from really everywhere including inside our bases and even mission instances.

It seems someone thought this was somehow overpowered because a few patches ago we lost that. I suppose that for the server a mission instance and the SG bases are the same kind of instance.

It would be nice to get that access back, maybe from an item we have to buy and install in our base if making the difference between mission and bases is too time consuming.

Rares it kind of depends on how useful/valuable they are.

And really, most recipes call for only 1 of any ingredient. There really is no major reason to store or carry 10+ of *anything*.

Obviously everyone works differently, but there isn't really a dire *need* to have that much super storage except for OCD people that want to hoard everything (no offense)
    None taken.

The major reason to store salvage more then 10 at a time is because I dont craft enhancers 1 at a time. I dont know how you manage your crafting but last weekend one of my characters dinged 50. I crafted 94 enhancers in one go. That's 200-300 salvage pieces, some in stacks of 30+.

I dont see why I should sell the stuff I get only to buy it back when I need it nor do I see why I need to run a log on / log off marathon to actually be able to use said stuff.

I refuse to pay tens of thousands of Inf to get common salvage when I already got it while playing and when I want to craft, I want it now, not in some hazy future when I finally manage to buy what I need.

I'm asking for another opportunity to give Paragon Studio more money. If you are interested in the feature, buy it, if you are not, ignore it...

But I do hoard it, probably a lot more then I would if this feature was implemented because I dont really know how many I have of any salvage and I dont want to keep some insane spreadsheet of my characters inventory.

I use the auction house as extra storage, I fill up all the containers I can get, thanks to freedom I can have extra SG bases easier now and will start making bases only to stack more containers.

If I had a central storage, whatever over stock I have would go the auction house, but right now I usually dont have the slots to sell anything and I dont want to let salvage for sale block the AH. Over stock goes to the closest vendor.
  19. I'm really annoyed at the insane amount of micro-management involved with the invention system. There's just too many small stacks of salvage all over the place. With the personal storage, the vault, the auction house and the base containers, finding the salvage I need is a God forsaken PITA across over 200 storage.

I'd like to have a simple one stop shop vault accessible by all my characters on all servers to drop my invention salvage.

A super vault that would contain 1 stack of all invention salvage of at least 250 units. That vault could be accessed every where the normal vault can be accessed.

The server database would not really increase in a meaningful way. Considering there's 108 flavor of salvage, each tagged with a P string of let's say 32 characters (that's too much), and one number, let's go over the top with 32 bits (way too much) that's 288 bits per salvage.

    At 108 salvage * 288 bits = 31104 bits per account.

Again let's go over the top and say 200,000 players find that vault interesting and get it

    31104 bits * 200,000 accounts = 6,220,800,000 bits

    6,220,800,000 bits / 8 = 777,600,000 bytes

    777,600,000 bytes / 1024 = 759,375 Kb

    759,375 Kb / 1024 = 741.5 Mb

One hard drive, for all the servers and an over enthusiastic number of buyers...

As for the impact on the market, it would be, IMHO, minimal and temporary. Not everyone would be interested by that feature, less if it's only available by the store. Those who have no interest in the crafting system would still sell their salvage, same for those who do so for the profit and for those who would use the mega vault, once it's filled up, would start or keep selling their over stock on the market (I know I would, instead of dropping it at the first vendor).
  20. Instead make 2 new server wide channel, LFG and Whatever-we-name-it general discussion so that help can be help and the 2 other main use of the actual help channel get their own channel.
  21. Assuming that the 15 seconds delay between mail is there only to curb spamming, it would be awesome if we could have an option to send the mail to our own global name without the delay.

Add a "To me" check box before the name in the mail panel, removing the delay between mails and automatically sending the mail to our own box.

What would be really awesome is a super trans-dimensional mega-vault that can hold 1 stack of 1000 of every single salvage ever. Accessible where you can access the normal vault.

That would be so much better. No more micro-managing up to 18 racks per base plus personal and vault storage per character.

    I'd pay for that.
