Anyone play a drop only character?

I tend to play a variation of it during some part of my character's career. I don't tend to buy any IOs, but I will craft and slot any usable recipe drops. I tend to buy the salvage because it's near impossible otherwise, other than common IOs.
Oddly, now that you mention it, I think this is the first game where I haven't. Hmmm.
Usually I have 1. Might have to do that with one of my next alts.

I get lots of inf that drops from defeated foes, and so I use that to get even more inf.

Nope, I sell all the enhancers I get to the closest vendor I can find and slot common IOs from lvl 12 up to lvl 50 mixing set IOs when I can get them at the correct level.
I wish the Devs would make transferring stuff easier between my characters.

Yes. I have one on Virtue that will be drops-only until level 50. I may set him out then and stuff... but until then, only get what drops for me.
I'm more interested to see if there's someone out there that skips enhancements completely and just uses inspirations.
Side note: Please don't do this. It was painful enough before I found out that inspirations stacked, I can't even fathom how harsh it would be to get past level 15 like this. I know every time I forget to update my enhancements, I get frickin owned. But usually you don't hit a 6 level spree without remembering to check.

I can't honestly see how this would be possible. Enhancements don't drop all that often, and are more likely to be something you can't use than anything worth while. And that's ignoring that you have to first be sure that the enemies you are facing will drop the kind of enhancements you can actually use.
Even supplimenting this with Recipie drops, I just can't see a player being lucky enough to get the kinds of recipies and salvage they need, all from random drops. This would lead their characters woefully underslotted, and critically underpowered.
I think you will have to comprimise at some point - specifically regarding Salvage and the willingness to purchase Shop SOs.

I haven't considered doing a drop only character.
I did - once - play a toon sans travel powers up to level 23 before getting bored with them.

It's really not that bad, on an AoE-oriented character playing solo on x8. I think a normal, SO enhanced character that wouldn't use inspirations would be weaker in practice (although certainly better fit to handle a variety of other situations than the specific one I mentioned, which is about the only place where the "no enhancements all insps" alt can perform decently).

I've had many characters go without enhancements until level 20-25. The low level enhancements hardly even do anything.
I once played a fire/fire blaster up to 32, he dropped all the time.
No buying in stores, just what you find in drops?
With the DFB dropping SO's for your origin it seems fairly doable although not ideal.
