Timer on Hero merits spending

Considering that the hero merits are already gated by a timer from tip missions per day, the SSA per week and whatever other conversion options we have, do we really need an extra timer of 20 hours on getting recipes?

I dont see any difference between buying stuff one per day Vs stacking merits until we have enough to get all the recipes we want.

I'd like that timer to be removed.

There are usually two sides to every argument but no end.

Everything placed above this line is always IMHO, YMMV and quite certainly not to be taken too seriously....

I agree with this thought. The additional 20 hour wait "per" transaction is excessive, overbearing and not needed.

Hmm....sounds like some of the other things in the game behind "The gates of no reason".

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

You mean the gates for reasons the devs haven't bothered explaining to us?

My theory as to the the reason is that it's to discourage people from hoarding A-Merits. That being said I agree with the sentiment, i don't see any reason to have it there.

This is very unlikely to happen. A single alignment merit has at least twice the purchasing power of 50 reward merits (depending on exactly what you buy). As such the 20 million inf cost is there to limit the extra wealth a character generates by converting Reward Merits to A-Merits.

Roughly speaking an A-Merit is worth about 70 million Inf while a Reward Merit is probably closer to 0.6 Million Inf. Converting 50 reward merits to an alignment merit is more than doubling the value of your merits (from 30 million Inf to 70 million Inf). The 20 million inf conversion cost reduces that gain from 40million Inf to a more reasonable 20 million. It also serves as a nice inf sink removing some of the excess inf from the economy.
