  1. Actually heres a though, keep the name but have it be rise to the challenge ish with a -regen to opponents and only hit half the amount of NPC's, with it enhanceable to 200% regen. Would give the opportunity to have a tauntish aura, wouldnt be overpowered, and would stack well with other powers in the set.
  2. could be damage ones are excluded while effect ones are not?
  3. Looking over your build I see alot of things that could be changed to make your playing much smoother, first off you have way to many slots in SJ and hurdle, they can survive with only the base slot and you still get good performance out of them. Next off Slot toggle defence powers with 3 defbuff, and 1 end red, so that surviability goes up. After that always take your mez protection toggle/clicky as early as possible, since if a npc mezes you all the defence toggles stop giving defence or protection, which allows them to kill you faster. After that 6 slotting any power you attack with a mixture of 1/2 accuracy, 2/3 damage, 1 end redux, and 1 recharge redux allows you to attack more and waste less end. Any power that needs to hit to do damage needs at least 1 accuracy enhancement to be decent.
  4. well this is my build for I19 so that would be the reason there is no health stam whatnot actively included in the build. The three blank spots will be slotted into the health and stamina inhearents In I19. Oh and health will have a regenrative tissue in it.

this is what I use, but this is a old comfort toon so I have things set oddly, and its respected to I19 standards, so hurdle and health will be TP and team teleport with the empty slots in the build going to stamina. On the whole tho I clock in a 253% regen and a 21% dmg increase with a 25% recharge boost along with 25% more acc. Overall tho this is what my live build looks like.
  7. I would go check a rating magazine like Becketts to find out if its a short print. Ignore the pricing since that will never stay static but it should tell you the rarity of the individual card per whatever set there is. Also becketts usually has a encylopidia type guide whch covers more pricing on more sets and older sets

    I19 Badge Guide

personally I didnt think the shadow shard really needed badges in there. So much empty space to traverse for 8 badges, even with the jetpack is going to be a pain.
  9. eh I have no cable atm but I was dissapointed when g4 swallowed up tech tv as well. Then they turned it into a bad Spike channel, which didnt have much I personally would watch. Then X Play went into more general vid game coverage, and they stopped doing 2 to 3 reveiews per show, which I thought was the best part of the show since they usually didnt cater to any one company and say "Oh buy this (insert peice of garbage here) for (insert system here) it really good." Sure there was maybe a touch of bias depending upon reviewer vs game but if it really stank they said so. I do understand why X Play is the way it is today, I just miss when they covered more of the games out there.

    coralax glad

sooo today I figured eh what the hey and id use the badges closest to compleation thing so I could earn a few odds and ends badges. I head to sharks cause it seems I need at least one suc/hellforst to finish a badge, and while im hunting hellfrosts might as well take a crack at the coralax glad. 2 hours later Im still killing coralax and I know I have to be close since I did 80 hellforsts quicker than that and im only getting 10 per run....and coralax is spawning at 4 mobs per spawn...still nada. So is it a specific one or am I just loosing it?
  11. Sooo I'm messing around with mids and recalled that they gave scrapper epics to us......so now my actual ninja charector has access to shuriken. Now overall I know shuriken are semi bad as they are more leathal damage on a otherwise leathal damage charector but I've dreamed of throwing stars of doom at npc's on my very ninja charector. way to go devs.
  12. Head_Kracker

    APPs, OMG ^^

heh I just realized that my dominator has access to fireball now so my ice/fire dom can now call down the aoe hurt in the classic blaster way but from the compleate saftey of a ice patch.

patch, rain, ball, breath, whatever else seems like it should be wrong with aggro jack helping kill the stragglers.

eh to be fair the mystic force season was horrible near the begining, but it did collect itself together by the mid to late end. I think that whoever started writing the scripts out at the beginig must have been changed midway thru.

eh its taken them long enough since ninja storm to get back to samuri. Hope it has that same feel.
  14. As the title says think up badge titles that you know are just not gonna happen and if you want to you can include a reason why, nothing offencive mind.

    Heres some to start

    Narcoleptic - achivement

You have held down a multiple keys for 8 hours earning you this badge

    ---------------------------------
    Proctologist - invention

you have created 10 "chance for" enhancements

    ---------------------------------

    March Madness - Accolade

you have visited all 4 of the courts in skyway earning you the big orange ball temp power
(yeah EA and the NBA would have a field day squeezing out the money for this one)
    ---------------------------------

    The Penny Dropped - defeats

You have been defeated by Blue Steel
(would be the only defeat badge where you HAD to be defeated to earn )

    ---------------------------------

    Dead Man Walking - Achivement

You have been "assasin" striked 20 times
(would definetly be interesting on how to flag captures on this one)
    ---------------------------------
Went the Extra Mile - explore

you have found the only place in the shadow shard thats interesting
(say put this one way out and away from any entrance)
  15. Head_Kracker

    Out of curiosity

OK heres a for example, why do folks when they Io out builds for recharge, seem to always leave the base recharge at a low level on some powers but then try to get 60% or better global recharge, when adding that last slot to bring up the base recharge to say 40 would equal out to a good 80 recharge on that power but without signifigantly nerfing any other power?

I see this all the time in the forums, and wonder if they never exmpt past their set bonuses to help out lower folks. It just bothers me that if I went and do a tf or something that the nice overclock of +rech that I depend on 35+ is now going to be maybe 20% period or lower based upon how low one exempts.

Think I got this right, slotting might be a touch off since when I last did this build I was on test. The only problimatical thing in this build to get would be the hammies for the flexibility of supressive fire.
  17. Welllll double xp weekends make folks want to grind out levels not merits.
  18. Head_Kracker

    Raven's

Human Bic had it the last time I was in it. But that was over a year ago, I have no idea who has ownership atm. Me and Bic had a agument over the base so im not in the nest anymore and cant tell ya more.
  19. Then sign me up for Paths Of Glory and I am the architect @Head Kracker
  20. Outta curiosity is this only blueside or can villans participate?
Only ask since the base I'd enter would be redside and any prizes would either have to wait till GR is up or Id have to get a hero to take
  21. Sorry if I was snarky...it just sometimes comes out.

    Quote:
Again, here I was going for Stupify's set bonuses.

You realize you're making two opposing points?

    1) All AoEs are already at the ED cap for damage. Slotting for more will do nothing.

    2) You'd have me slot Dam/Rech Detonations to add a total of +25% recharge to Fire Breath and Rain of Fire individually, adding more damage to two powers already at ED cap and then remove 70% global recharge from the build by dropping hasten? I'm sorry, but that makes no sense.
actually the point im making here is that since you are 50 and if you only buy lvl 50 io sets then whenever you exemplar past your set bonus level which is lvl 47 (barring purple sets) then you loose most if not all of your recharge bonuses when doing a strikeforce or any lower level content should you team, which would then neccesitate having better base recharge rates. I have noticed that when exemplaring that overall pecentage score on all my powers enhancements do lower to the level of the set at that level, things like positrons blast set really wane at lvl25 or lower like the cap au diable SF but by adding a dmg/rech or even a plain old rech you keep the power moving without a huge differance when you exempt.

With hasten, as I said I just seems like a end drain to me in this kinda build but I guess YMMV.
  22. This is what I like to call my regen blaster. While it is not totally optimized out for regen it is a fun little build that allows me to feel somewhat scrapperish while fulfilling the aoe goodness of being a blaster. Yes I know I have a few odd enhancements, and I also know that a few of my slotting choices could probably be better, but this is my personal regen, do a bit of everything, its fun to me and my playstyle build. Oh and this is a live build, everything thats is slotted is actually on a live charector not in some theoretical build.

  23. uhhh where to begin...........

First off you really have slotted two different powers in the wrong way to standard utility, Fearsome stare should be slotted for fear instead of tohit debuff, or 5 fear set Io's and one tohit regualr IO, since its used more as a opener of a fight rather than a constant debuff like darkest night. You will notice a big big differance to fireback flack with a couple fears more than your tohit debuffs. Next the general consencous is that shadow fall is served better being slotted with resists rather than defence, considering that the overall defence value never really creeps past 7% even fully slotted out but is much easier to max out resistance to 25% of nrg, neg nrg, and psi.

Now personally I think howling twilight is overslotted and could be better served by pulling 3 of those slots and sticking them into the aoes you five slotted and plunking a detonation dmg/rech in the ones with posiblast to help with overall recharge and a dmg/end in the one with ragnorock so that your not relying on set bonuses if you ever exemplar post 50.

FYI fire dark is a very very end heavy pairing, which while it does eat NPC mobs alive it can also leave your blue bar running on empty. Which comes to my next point, hasten while good for recharge really doesnt need to be in this kind of build since it really states without major end recovery or endurace discounts early on, pay 20 end every 2 minutes turn off all those great toggles and die to whatever your fighting that hasent melted into a puddle of goo. While I see that you have 3.6 end a second recovery, even thats not enough to offset the aoe goodness that you can spam with that much speeded up aoe goodness along with the toggles of darkest night, epic armor, hover, and shadowfall being active.

Last point, unless you have half a billion inf you will probably be grinding all this on strikeforces merits daily. Red side markets are so much much slower than blueside for any kind of turnover for the really good items, which you probably know. But a build like this, unless your in a very active VG which pools drops, will take at least 4 to 6 months of multiple strikeforces daily to get the recipes/merits/drops that you will need. Good luck especially on the basilisk gazes which on the TF/Trial drops goes for min 20 mill each on the level 30 cap.
  24. Ive found with toying around with invul in the planner and you have to give up a couple powers out of your secondary so that your overall resists arent slimmed to nothing, and its either comsumption and maul or touch and something else more vital. Heres my revised build. Found that I can get to at least 26% psi resists which isnt bad...not steller but at least doable without really breaking the bank. Also noticed that I have enough merits to at least buy a low level numina reg+rec.
