Hmm. Well, I hope we will become able to set up forum passwords at some time. Sorry, but I'm not comfortable using my account password on a non-secure site.
Anyway, this is a great guide, and PK, there's lots that's sticky about you, or so I've heard. -
Really quick question before I go back to lurking. Right now, the forums require me to use my game account password to log in. Is there any way to set up a forum password separate from the game account one?
Thanks. -
Good point. To clarify, pets won't attack enemies that aren't fully spawned yet. Still, I'd like to know if throwing a mob in Detention Field would stop the pets from attacking it.
-
Hey, MM gurus, just a quick question about Detention Field. I've noticed during Rikti or Zombie Apocalypse zone events that pets won't target enemies that aren't done "phasing in" yet. Does the same hold true for mobs hit by Detention Field?
I know it's not a popular power, but if I could use it to nullify a problem enemy without having pets waste attacks on the intangible foe, it could definitely have its uses.
Thanks in advance for any replies. -
Because I'm a misanthrope. Now, any other questions, dirtbag?
All kidding aside, I rarely lead teams because I feel like a cruise director when I do. I'm probably overreacting, but I worry if the team members are satisfied with the XP, the choice of missions, the general pace, etc. I like things done right, and I'm not confident to in my ability to lead properly.
It's weird, but the team leader role ends up seeming more like a waiter at a restaurant in my mind. -

EDIT: Side thought: If there were any truth to the "those that farm to 50 get burnt out and leave" belief, wouldn't all the farmers be gone by now?
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think it would be the farmers who would leave, because they're still after whatever they're farming (tickets, INF, salvage, etc.). Instead, it may be the farmees, those who benefitted from PL sessions who may burn out more quickly, and we have no idea on what the churn rate is here, if there is one. -
Most taunt auras are auto-hit for the taunt portion. The auras from Dark Armor, Electric Armor and Fiery Aura require to-hit checks for all effects, so missing = no taunt. For Mud Pots, the damage and slow components require to-hit checks, but the taunt component doesn't.

There are a good number of ranged attacks out there. Stone Melee has Hurl Boulder; Fire Melee has Breath of Fire; Ice Melee has Frost; Spines also has Impale; but stalker melee sets don't have Taunt.

The Elusive Mind accolade is both psi defense and resist, usable for 60 seconds with a base 25 minute recharge.
-
What really happened is that a Rikti scientist (D'ak Taeon) attempted to invent a new battle simulator for the troops but ended up creating an engrossing virtual reality entertainment device instead. Oops.
-
They're a good way to work on your "damage taken" badges, because there's no debt in zones under invasion, and the Rikti dropships really dish it out.

Out of curiosity, what if the TF requires fewer than eight to start? Should all the speed teams be the same size?
Good luck! -

What's a Meow Farm?

A large, open map filled to the brim with pussycats, both the players and their computer-generated opponents. Hence, the amount of meowing and the caterwauling that ensues when they get banninated. -
Hey, J, you're double OK. Welcome back to Justice.

QR:
1. You have to join global channels (not that it's hard), but they can and do fill up or become closed. Search menus function without having to join a channel and include everyone, unless they opt out.
2. If you're a new player or new to a server, using the menu to find team members can be useful.
3. There's no drama, cussing or spam on menus. -
The team scalar will make it easier to add artificial teammates, but there's no parallel improvement to team search to make it easier to add real ones (yet).
The upcoming team scalar doesn't encourage people to team less, but there has been nothing added that encourages them to team more or makes it easier to do so.
Here's hoping this is the first of several improvements to team search -
Razoras referred me here, so I'll post some of the suggestions that have come up for improving team search, in no particular order.
1. Remove the origin indicator.
2. Expand the list of players so that it doesn't get truncated.
3. Refine the range of levels used for searching (slider, maybe?)
4. Add an indicator to show the team leader.
5. Automatically remove players in TF mode from searches.
6. Add a function to allow teams to indicate they're looking for members.
The team scaling option was also long-desired, and I-16 should make it a reality. Hopefully, some other improvements will be in the works. -
I never said big teams couldn't play as always or that I thought the team scaling option was a bad idea. In fact, I think it's great.
Again, for the giddy folks, I would like to see better options for finding players added to the search window. Team search could use additional improvements in its functionality.
Claro? -
I agree that this feature will benefit those who prefer a small team or none, but there is no corresponding feature to aid those who may want to form larger teams.
To be specific, there have been many suggestions for the team search window to show groups looking for members, to indicate the team leader, to remove truncation from the player list, to allow more control over level range searches and not to display teams in TF mode.
Don't get me wrong, the "team size" selector is a good thing, but I'm hoping it's the first of many improvements to the search function. -
Also, imagine launching your "self projectile" at a warwolf or other speedy target and ending up halfway across the map.

I don't think the auto-SK works in Dev Choice missions, period. Dev Choice mishes behave like normal missions, with regard to mechanics. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, if all you want to do is hang out, I think chatting on JFA or other channels would work.
Also, with the farming migration, there really aren't many people on the lawns at Portal Corp
My .02 INF is that you'll get what you give when attempting to form teams via channels. "Level 34 warshade LFT" is just broadcast spam of a different color. "Level 30-33 mission team running in St. Martial - room for three," is a good bit more helpful, IMO. -
Suppose They Gave a War and Nobody Came
Unless the Rikti routinely bomb Atlas Park and Cap au Diable, there ain't going to be anyone outside to fight them.
