Detention Field and pets
You can still target Detentioned Enemies. The Rikti you see aren't "spawned" yet.
Good point. To clarify, pets won't attack enemies that aren't fully spawned yet. Still, I'd like to know if throwing a mob in Detention Field would stop the pets from attacking it.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. There is no hardcoded rule for pets not to attack a foe in a detention field.
They shouldn't attack the foe unless specifically told to, as in put in "attack my target mode" Being in any other mode with defensive or aggressive shouldn't have them attacking that enemy. When intangible, the enemy generates an 'aggro' of 0 IIRC, thus the AI never considers attacking the intangible subject.
I could be completely wrong on this though.
EDIT: I just double checked this on test. I was wrong, they will attack enemies with intangibility like Detention field, when in aggressive or attack modes, but only if the fight has started. I just walk up to a intangible foe, they won't do anything, but if a foe is rendered intangible mid battle they will still attack it. You can either re-direct their attacks, or simply hit follow and they should dis-engage that target.

i have black hole on my mm and yes they wont atk them ... but if all ready atking they will waste time on them till u redirect thier anger.
just put in def or atk my target and they will forget about them till they on phase. im sure it work for the other only effecting self powers the same way.
Hey, MM gurus, just a quick question about Detention Field. I've noticed during Rikti or Zombie Apocalypse zone events that pets won't target enemies that aren't done "phasing in" yet. Does the same hold true for mobs hit by Detention Field?
I know it's not a popular power, but if I could use it to nullify a problem enemy without having pets waste attacks on the intangible foe, it could definitely have its uses.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
