Last post wasn't more than a month ago, so it's not a necro! It's just... on life support!
What's it called when...
you combine two words
you eat yourself
a word is spelled the same backwards
you fall asleep randomly
you like pain -
I believe(And someone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) the new faces you found have the new face tech, and it's considered a "preview" for those who purchase the Steampunk pack, and later on(Either I20.5 or I21) will have the new face tech applied to the older faces/we'll be given new faces utilizing that tech.

I almost asked this in Player Questions, but thought I might get better feedback here.
I've got an elec armor tank that I'm working on, and I was just wondering, when slotting Lightning Field, is it better to slot it for damage, or for End Mod, or a bit of both? He's /kin so he's not going to be an end drainer.
I thought I'd seen somewhere that elec attacks that caused end drain could also transfer some of the end back to you, though I don't see that on Mids, or the wiki. Maybe that doesn't apply for this power? I guess if it doesn't, then slotting for damage is the way to go...
Thanks! -

A boomerang, an elephant gun, and a bladed yoyo? While I agree with the others that this is something unlikely to happen due to the four-legged skeletons necessary, it'd probably help if the three attacks that MM could have all used the same weapon, and similar theme. I mean I get that those three weapons are hunting weapons, but they don't really go together. And it would also be helpful if the weapons could have different skins for weapon customization. No ideas currently come to my mind to help, but then I just got off from work, and feel a bit brain fried :P

Have you recently purchased any other packs? Only reason I ask is that to(I assume) prevent CC fraud, is stop you from using the same CC to buy multiple packs one after another. If so, try another CC, and/or wait at -least- 24 hours from your last attempt.
If that's not the problem, then I would open a support ticket(From the playNC website, not in-game) and try to find out what the problem is on their end. -
I am very upset and disappointed with this trailer... at the end it tells me to buy now and I'm like "Ok! I'll go buy it now!" But I can't! How cruel must you people be to flash all these new shinnies at me and tell me to give you money for it now, then when I try to give you money you tell me to wait until the 1st of the month! *Falls down on his knees and cries out to the heavens.* WHY GOD?!?! WHY!!!!!!

Quote:Yes it is different than spilling coffee. That point was made to reflect the comment made about apologizes being 'empty words' when there's no action taken beyond. It wasn't meant to be a direct comparison saying it's apples to apples. And this is a bit different than accidentally spilling coffee on someone, hehe.
They intentionally made some changes that removed aspects of their online gaming that they'd had for several years.
No... not a big deal in the grand scope of things... But an affront within the scope of this being a video game and fun happy pastime stuff.
When you say 'intentionally made some changes' that makes it sound like you're saying they wanted to make people loose their global names. Obviously that wasn't their goal. Their goal was to give the players something that many have been asking for years to happen, which was to merge the server lists. The lose of global names was a side effect of that. And not everyone who lost their global name had that name for several years.
I can't stress enough that yes, it sucks for those that lost their global name, even more so for those that lost them to inactive accounts. I get that, I truly do, and so do the devs I'm sure. But there's only so much that they can do. -
Quote:So if I spilled my coffee on your shirt and said "I'm sorry" that's not good enough? I have to go and buy you a bagel for you to know I really meant that I was sorry?Almost anything would do, but to get something that show us that the developers and red names actually cared, and I do not mean words like "We are so sorry", which are empty unless followed some kind of action.
Now I get it, sometimes reading some of the rednames posts, it can seem like 'soulless corporate drivel that they say just to say that they said it' BS. But considering that they have to make a blanket apology to more that just a few people, it's not like they can sit down and write a letter to everyone affected and explain in 500+ words how sorry they truly are on a deep and personal level.
And in fact they did give you something. A global rename! So your global could have been Capt Manny, and it got changed to EU_Capt Manny. Would you have preferred to stay EU_Capt Manny, or be able to change it to something a little more personal? And obviously "No, I'd have preferred to stay Capt Manny in the first place" is obviously not an option.
Quote:Your global name is who you ARE. If you're even relatively well known/liked in the game, and someone changed your name, you'd be nobody. A new face, until people eventually realized "you" were "you".
It's kind of like getting drastic cosmetic surgery forced on you in real life. Nobody would recognize you any more.
Re loosing globals overall, and not in response to any one person/post
Does it suck for some people that it happened? Absolutely, and I understand why. For some, it's part of your identity. It's something you could of had for years, that not only defined you, but could also be something that had meaning to you outside of the game as well. I had a friend years ago that nicknamed me Chavarko. I still use that name and remember that friend fondly even though I haven't seen or spoken to him in years. Were that my Global, and I lost it, sure I'd be upset for a bit. But then I remember, it's a game. Things happen. Emails disappear, costumes get changed when they rename the pieces, and things get bugged.
It's really not -that- bad. -
Pretty much what the title says. I got a character on Virtue that I want to transfer to Union. Can't do it. When I try I only get the NA server list. Just to see if it was working the same way in reverse, I attempted to transfer a character from Union that I'd made a couple days ago and only got the EU server lists.
Do we know if this is just something that needs a quick fix, or if the devs are leaving it this way purposefully so there's not a mass-exodus from one side to the other or something? Or if it's like when GR first came out, only new characters made in Prae could go to Prae. Only new characters on the new servers get access to those servers? -
IDF isn't that bad. I mean... look at the WST, or as most everyone likes to call it, WTF.
What about PPD. That could apply to either Paragon Police Dept. or Praetorian Police Dept.
Depending on the context MA could be Martial Arts, or it could be Mission Architect.
I'm not even going to get into what DP also stands for...
So it could be worse. -

Posted just two days ago, and at the time of this post, five threads down. -
This is great for most I'm sure but a bit frustrating for me. Since slots were not mentioned before with the rename tokens and server transfers, I already bought up some slots figuring that they weren't getting discounted. And now when they are getting discounted it ends the day before I get paid again.
Hopefully next time something like this discount stuff happens it'll all get announced at the same time.
But still, good news for those who can take advantage of it now. -
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancem...g_and_Stacking
Quote:Link and a C&P of the relevant info. Bold added by me to help point out the more relevant parts of the relevant section.Once a slot is assigned to a power, it is permanent. Once an Enhancement is put into a slot, it may not be reallocated to another slot or removed, although it can be destroyed, replaced with a different Enhancement (which also destroys the old one), or combined with a similar Enhancement to increase its level (more on that later). A player can use a power respecification to overcome these restrictions by completely rebuilding her character from level 1, but this is an all-or-nothing process, requiring every power and every slot to be re-chosen -
Quote:Why remove the reward? They effectively did this by making the merit reward as low as it is. Also... what precedent would this set? Oh the Katie Hannon TF was farmed a lot too back in the day, lets remove the reward for that. The Ernesto Hess TF is also an unlockable contact TF like Katie Hannon, so we can remove the reward for that too.Might make more sense to remove both the reward and level restriction
The level restriction thing is a bug, so yes, lets fix that, but considering that the Titan Os are useless once you get to level 47, the merit reward is pretty much the only viable one. Why take it away and make running the trial that much less desirable? -

Something that might help with your confusion if it comes up again. Try to not think of them as a-merits. Think Hero Merits, and Villain Merits. Cause there aren't any Vigilant Merits, or Rogue Merits.
Essentially Heroes and Villains get their own type of merits to use because they're staying Heroes or Villains. That's their bonus.
Vigilantes and Rogue's bonus is getting access to both Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. -
Quote:Sorry, but you gotta unlock Judgement and Interface first.1. I've run 2 different toons through the BAF and Lambda trials. Each have come up earning points in different categories (Judgement, Interface), neither earned points in more than one category, so was curious on just how you predict (if you can) which you will earn and if there is any way to "direct" which ones you're going to earn? Like if I'd rather earn Lore or Destiny, rather than Judgement or Interface.
The way it works is when you run the BAF or Lambda trials, you earn Incarnate XP(iXP). The BAF gives Psychic iXP(Psychic, like Mother Mayhem) and the Lambda trial gives you Physical iXP(Physical, like Marauder). Psychic iXP unlocks Judgement and Lore. Judgement has to be unlocked first before you can start gaining your Psychic iXP in Lore. Physical iXP unlocks Interface and Destiny, and again, Interface must be unlocked before before you can start unlocking Destiny. Note, that you do not have to slot anything into Judgement or Interface prior to unlocking or slotting Lore or Destiny.
Quote:2. I saw where I could cash in some threads for points in the categories. But I wanted one kind of points (Judgement, for example) and it gave me another instead. I saw no way of actually selecting one category over another. Is it just random? -

I accept your challenge! For our duel I choose rapier swords. Shall this be to the death, or merely till one of us calls for mercy?
