Archetype Proliferation and alternative

Archetype Proliferation:
This would basically mean that you could start a MasterMind as a hero, a Blaster as a villain, or even an EAT as a praetorian.

OR

New Archetypes:
This would involve creating new archetypes for certain types (Pets, Stealth, Dedicated Ranged) for the base alignments that lack them and creating one or more EATs for Praetorians.
Heroes need: Pets (Like MMs, could be something like having Primary be Ranged and Secondary having several power-sets with one or two, instead of six, pets and lots of single target buffs with some party-wide buffs.)
Villains need: Dedicated Ranged (Villains really need something like a blaster.)

This is a design decision that they made specifically.

I can see it either way, but I personally prefer it the way we have it, so that there isn't so much homogenization (until later levels). I am, in general, against homogenization.

I wouldn't mind if they created new archetypes that were similar but different from the other side's. (Like Tanks and Scrappers are kind of like Brutes... sort of kind of.)

I am against starting EATs in Praetoria, as they are intimately tied to Primal Earth lore, not Praetorian. I am OK with creating a Praetorian EAT.

Dedicated range? Have you not looked at the Blasters secondary power sets?

I'd be all up for just opening all ATs on all sides. It would save me from having to run my heroic Brutes, Masterminds and Stalkers through Praetoria for the umpteen bazillionth time. I'm going to be quoting contact briefings from memory pretty soon.

I've just been making the "heroic" villain ATs as villains, and then sideswitching them. Yes, I know that the badges they tend to accumulate say that they're villains, but none of that ever happened as far as I'm concerned. And honestly, the side switching is a lot less irritating to me than Goldside at this point. (The broken ambushes and Destroyers mainly, although it also really annoys me that it's so easy to outlevel story contacts or otherwise completely break story arcs Goldside.)

I can see you making a case for Kheldians turning up in Praetoria, as they are extra-planetary creatures that wouldn't have been affected by the Hamidon Wars. However I have a suspicion that Cole would brutally put down any such outside influence.

And a Soldier of Arachnos starting in Praetoria? That makes no sense at all.

Now, having us start out as, say Praetoria Police or a freed Seer or something along those lines as a Praetorian Epic Archtype I would be absolutely behind.
