Neither a lie nor a bug, it is showing the average wait time. But remember that the average time is skewed by the number of premade groups that fill up using a league, then queue and immediately get into the trial.

Someone wiser than me recommended changing it from average wait time to number of people in queue. That would be a good idea and I'm sold on that.

But also, I would love to see the "join trial in progress" changed from "join trial in progress that is below the minimum number to start" to "join trial in progress that is below the maximum number allowed".

this change alone would mean you almost instantly join something if you click "join any" and "willing to join in progress".

I am not there yet myself, but based on how it is supposed to work:

There are three email tabs. the farthest left (first) is your inbox where people send you messages and you can send yourself stuff. The middle one is where all the stuff that you can claim for every character you own appears. Like the respecs, free tailor tickets, etc. the third one (far right) is where the items you can only claim one time appear. IO unslotters, IO boosters, Windfall tokens etc.

I believe that the repeatable rewards mostly appear on the third tab. You should be able to view them from any character, but if you claim them once, then only that character can use them.

There are a lot of powers that don't work off the ground. Electric armor will lose grounded. /fire will lose the ability to use burn, etc. depending on the team someone could get very upset. God knows I get testy when someone uses group fly around me.

Ninjas/ - i,like them alot. Have concept have a costumes, made from a dark/ma tank that works purfectly. Would trap, make up for thare sqishyness a bit. AV killin isnt to important if its fun.
Ninjas are very squishy and lots of people get frustrated with them. Bots are very strong and as a bonus they do -regen which is great vs AVs. Also, ninja's to mostly lethal and smashing which is the most resisted type of damage in the game.

I have just started a /nin mm myself, but really I have to recommend bots based on the experience you want to have and your goal of fighting AVs.

    Not necessarily. Two level 35 IOs = 36.7%x2 = 73.4%
Upgrading to two level 50 IOs only shaved off a few seconds. Upgrading to two 50+5s or a third 50 would be less than 1 second from the two 50s.

the real thing you gotta check is that last little bit worth the cost to you?

If you have a build that traditionally needs the third IO to hit permahaste, then probably two 50+5s can keep you in permahaste and give you 1 extra slot to play with. But 83% to 92% is a far bigger jump than 92% to 96%. Very rarely would I think that the 4% difference between 50+5,50 and 50+5,50+5 is relevant. Very Very rarely. But that 9% jump from one +5? that's a solid chunk of time shaved off.

short version: It depends on build, don't assume you need both.

It's a slow, interruptible, single-target power that works best as an opener. That already makes me feel about them like I feel about snipes, but to make things 'worse' for me is that to effectively use AS, I'd have to wait for my Hide to go up before even approaching a mob, slowing the game down further.
This is a tactical mistake in my opinion. Instead of waiting for hide, use your full tool set. For example, on my dark/dark stalker I skipped touch of fear. On the otherhand, I have placate and air superiority. If I'm unhidden, I can pop demonic, shadowmeld, a purple, or just trust my auras (depending on size and strengths of the enemies I'm rushing into) while at range. Air superiority on one, placate another, now I'm hidden and at least two are not attacking for a few seconds. AS is good to go. If I think I don't have time, MG is almost as good and I can catch AS next time placate is up. But standing and waiting for hide? That is not even an option in my book and I recommend you remove those pages from yours. Especially if it's not a play style you enjoy.

    Quote:
I guess at this point I am pretty certain that AS isn't doing it for me, but where I don't feel strongly about skipping snipe powers in Blasting sets since blasting sets are more about AoE anyway, I wonder what the point of being a Stalker would be if I skip AS?
AS is one of your best attacks. It is a key of stalking, but not the only thing. Yes, as others have mentioned, in many cases if you are going to skip AS you are better running a scrapper. But not all. And there is more to being a stalker than AS.

Personally, I recommend playing with your other tools. Don't wait for hide. Find other ways to manage aggro. And see if you like AS more after that.

But if you want to go without AS and play a stalker, as recommended the best choices appear to be MA and KM.

You might also like Electric Melee with some decent AoE in your pools/patrons and focus on AoE attacks rather than AS. For example, Electric likes to open with lighting rod rather than AS so you might not feel the lack that way.

    Stomp those FP.
You can also get them down to +19 instead of +20 by having the mission holder level from 20 to 21 while inside the mission. Can you use the level shift inspirations at level 20?

I'd think that going to +18/+13 will be a pretty big difference all things considered.

And you can pull them into the lava. It's not a lot of damage but it does some.

Don't free players have an inf cap below the price of most HOs?

  14. Also, if you are going this route, what is the advantage/disadvantage of paying the minimum VIP subscription time (1 month I think) to get the free points bonus for recommending a friend, then having the second account go premium after that?

Since both accounts get points if the one pays I'm thinking that is a slightly better option, but not sure. You won't get the token for paying for points. But you get 400 points and 1 month of SG access for being VIP and 1 token. By the end of that time you should be set anyway and so won't need anything else. Plus you get a bit of a boost for your original account.
  15. I'll point out the Goat's Rule #1: Anything good with zero available for sale, is priced too low.

To define "good", look at the list Bionic Flea gave out.

To define "Priced too low", look at the last 5 and price a smidge higher than that or if there is one much higher than the rest, aim there.

This rule is virtually never wrong. The very few times are where you're talking about low-level versions of something that is good, but not popular. Like a level 11 basislisk's gaze.
  16. Can someone tell me the difference between two membranes and three in Active defense? Also what's the value for two 50++?

I'm on a mac so no mids for me to check myself.

and @Gospel. You can do better than 50++. There are 51, 52, and 53s out there. So you can do 53, 52+ or 51++. Good luck finding and affording them, but they do exist.

Ah, ok. Werner does love his 53 HOs. So when I see him say "53" I assume he means 53s. But I guess technically, you just need one 51 or 52 and you can then burn 50s until you successfully get it to be the equivalent of a 53. Kind of a shame they can't be traded. Would be nice if they really became 53s instead of 51++. One day, there will be no more that can be traded at all.

If you get say, five of them, it's not five for each toon I guess, right.
We have three tabs in email now and I get them confused all the time so I won't even try on the names.

The far left is the inbox for actual communication. The second (middle) has items that you get for each character. The third (far right) are the emails that are one per account. They are in that third tab.

I have two emails with some in each. I think 1 and 5 but I didn't pay attention. Just saw them and made a mental note not to claim them by accident.

Also, any IO you use them on gets locked to the CHARACTER, even though everything about it says "account locked". You can't email boosted IOs, store them in a base, or trade them. But you can put them in your tray and thus move them to a second or third build.

playing an Incarnate with an outlier powerset that could farm +4/X8 and do insane damage on TFs even with a cheapish IO build was a bit detrimental for my impression of the modern game).
Yes my fire/shield brute is running a total crap frankenslot build, with a mix of multistrikes/cleaving blow instead of oblit, crushing impact and smashing blow, one set of mako, serendipity instead of gambler, etc. Did manage to get a few goodies from lucky drops and tips, but really cheap overall. And she can run at +3/x8 against almost anything and does spectacular damage. I can totally see where you're coming from. Especially since everyone tells me both fire and shield are better on scrappers than brutes so she's not even optimized by AT much less powers and slotting.

Then I log into one of my other characters and get reminded that not everything is that way. Heh. Glad I have altitis.

Thanks for the clarification! I run at +1 unless I'm speeding an oro arc or tips so that's where my perception came from. Appreciate the update.

Quick question on World of Pain. Do those extra common recharge IOs really make a difference? In actual seconds, what is the difference between your slotting and removing one and swapping the other two for Aegis end/rech and Aegis res/end/rech? Because I'm guessing the difference is less than 2-5 seconds, but that extra defense from the set bonus might be handy and I'm guessing you can do good things with 1 extra slot somewhere.

Dunno, I'm not a build expert, but it was a thought.

I'm a bit of a downer on spines. I have one, played to 50 and am completely unimpressed with it. Electric is pretty amazing. Lots of others have good things to say about spines though, I'm sure one will be along shortly. Until then, one vote for Electric.

(btw in the build Flurry is Disrupt and Aid Other is Energy Drain, took these powers because they accept the same sets)
I've heard in the scrapper forum that at some point "soon" we'll be getting three more slots. Any idea when that kicks in? i21 full launch or later? That will give you what you need.

Also, before then to get one more slot could you pull the nucleus from Charged Brawl and add those enhancement boost thingy's to the KC Acc/Dam and one other and be close enough on performance?

That will give 29.6% accuracy/damage instead of 22.9%, and with the Kismet you should be close or better than with the nucleus since kismet is tohit not just accuracy.

the other way to get a slot using enhancement boosts is from haste. Here's a really nice chart I just bookmarked for myself:

    50,50,50 = 99%
    50+5,50+5 = 95.9%
    50+5,50 = 91.8%
    50,50 = 83.3%

I don't know about you but I have 6 enhancement boosts (total not per character) post freedom based on how long I've been subscribed. I haven't decided where to use them yet and probably won't buy any ever, but I figured you might have enough to make one of these a possibility so thought I'd toss it out there.
