Group fly can be turned off now ?.

From what I understand the patch notes say you can turn off buffs you didn't want on you.

So could you turn off group fly now without going to that bird in Pocket D.

Reason I ask is I am thinking of making a group fly type of build for my Robot Traps and Robot FF but I don't want to have the issue of getting people annoyed.

So if the issue is simply just clicking it off, then it really isn't an issue.

Just looking for some confirmation

He said without going to 'em

I thought that this only worked for clickie buffs, not auras like Group Fly (which would continually reapply the buff)... but, I've not actually done any testing so I'm not sure.

the options menu only allows you to set a prompt for tp/group tp

for the group fly change, sb change, or mystic fortune change you HAVE to talk to null the gull

It's not about the options menu. You can click on a buff icon and choose to cancel it. I've done it with a couple of things, but not Group Fly.

In the old days, I would just fly out of range, then stay away from the person using it.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

ah, i keep forgetting we can cancel buffs (i personally would NEVER cancel a buff so i instantly ignored that feature)

but yeah it wouldnt work on a toggle because toggles send out a "pulse" like every 1/4 second reapplying itself and originating from the caster which is why it ends almost immediately after you leave the range of the toggle

When I did, it was because I was drive-by shielded while standing in a safe place minding my own business.

you could still make the build, but just try to use it when mostly solo or with poeple you know that have the option toggled or dont mind

group fly is really not all bad anymore since it goesnt have the massive tohit penalty it used to

There are a lot of powers that don't work off the ground. Electric armor will lose grounded. /fire will lose the ability to use burn, etc. depending on the team someone could get very upset. God knows I get testy when someone uses group fly around me.

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

When you join a group, tell them, "I have Group Fly for my pets. If you don't want Group Fly applied to you, don't forget to turn it off by visiting Null the Gull in Pocket D."

To ME, I would thank the player and run out and do it, but that's me. I know for a fact that will not sit well with many others. No matter how reasonable it sounds.

I suspect that most of the people who would be really bothered by Group Fly have already shut it off. Those who have not yet handled it for whatever reason can be reminded that the option exists and get it handled. That should be fine.

And it's a favor to those who haven't done it yet, so that they actually know about Null and the options the divine gull offers.
And i know a good amount of people who have the teleporter for pocket D too. So between that and ouro it's not even a bother to go there and turn it off.
