Yes, but so is your suggestion. So if we're going to change things around to make your idea work - it would be better to go that extra mile and change things around to make my idea work.

I think you're underestimating the difficulty of programming this. It also seems overly complicated in general.
The ideal solution in my opinion would be to tie character names to globals instead of servers, and to allow us to move between servers with a simple switch on a map. The servers would thus become different instances and the entire population would be able to flow between them as necessary. Yes, this is pretty much exactly the way it works in CO.
I'm not particularly interested in a server-less environment unless it suddenly means that I get 150+ character slots to play with instead of just 35, but if we're going to have one they should at least make it easy to use. -
Just wanted to compliment you on your name. "Dawnrazor" is one of my favourite songs.

Was this an undocumented i16 QoL change, or was it orginally a bug and not noted in the new patch notes.
Must have been a bug, they aren't supposed to scale. They used to scale once, which meant that it was just as difficult for a level 50 to smash a cardboard box as it was for a level 1. Fortunately they changed this before we all quit in a rage. -
I don't care about the physical prizes. I just want the glory. Surely there is no law governing glory? Couldn't we have some kind of similar contest without physical prizes?

They could use the same code as for the scientists in Warburg. You can click on them and tell them to stay or follow, and that's the only options you've got. Something like this might make a few missions actually pleasant to play instead of frustrating (the hostage mission in Serpent Drummer's arc, that suicidal woman I can't remember the name of in the Midnighter introduction arc, etc).

Just add a marker to the compass indicating the direction to the nearest enemy. This would be useful in other situations as well, such as when a sniper is shooting at me from outside of the draw limit and I can't even see him.

It's always looked to me like the base is updating itself, checking every item in the base to find out if they have been moved or deleted or comparing their position with some kind of list. Something of that nature. During this process it's quite possible that each item is deleted and immediately replaced, which would cause that "flash". That is what it looks like to me, anyway.
Why this procedure is necessary every time we add or remove something from an enhancement storage bin or inspiration bin or salvage rack I can't understand. -
Having not read the thread yet, I think a CoH movie (one of many) should be about the first Rikti invasion. All the events that so far has just been described would make for awesome visuals. Thousands of heroes fighting aliens all over the world, Statesman downing the mothership, the Alpha and Omega team's going to their respective dooms... I think that would be the most iconic CoH story, since it sets the background for pretty much everything. Anyone watching the movie would then be prepared to start playing right away.

What's your VG name? I've been looking for a active VG for a while now. I'm part of a small but not so active group already, for convenience mostly; teleporters, etc. I wouldn't mind moving a few characters to a more active group, or start a new character if you're running a theme.

If you are looking to coalition with other single-player SGs (like mine), then I can go for that. My SG is called Art And Strategy, it's supposed to be a dojo/gym for supers and people who want to become supers. My global is @FredrikSvanberg if you wanna talk some more about this.

My radioactive giant looks smashing with green Superstrength and green Fiery Aura.
-
My rad/rad brute (green superstrength/green fire) is already level 28.
-
Switch the powersets around on the Oppressors and it'll work better. Melee primary/Support secondary.

I have two arcs for level 40+:
#1152 - The Doctor Returns. This one has custom enemies and I haven't checked how I16 messed them up yet, so it might not be playable.
#281575 - Et In Arcadia Ego. -
Darrin Wade: turn the W upside down to get an M, and then some scrabbling, aaand... you get "Dr in a dream" - The Dream Doctor!
-
I guess that saves me the trouble of making my own Inglorious Basterds arc. I suppose I should see the movie first.

What I want is the following:
Blaster Secondaries
Super-Strength; pretty much straight up, with Build Up instead of Rage, or a modified Rage.
Martial Arts; no changes necessary.
Dominator Secondaries
Super-Strength Assault; with thrown objects like manhole covers added in
Martial Assault; with shuriken attacks - single target, cone, explosive shuriken
Blade Assault; dual blades with thrown knives added in for ranged attacks.
Stalker Secondaries
Dark Miasma; with Hide replacing the heal.
Kinetic Control; with Hide replacing the heal.
Poison; with Hide replacing the heal.
Etc. Etc. Ad nauseum. -
Quote:It became invalid in a patch. I guess GadgetDon pulled it down to fix it and it was not given DC status again, or it was just removed since it was unplayable. The list is currently -1. @GadgetDon's The Butterfly Effect is no longer on it. No, I do not know why.
It's not sour grapes if it's true. -
In Emperor Cole's Praetoria, Clockwork King kills Blue Steel. Then he takes over his job and becomes the fascist psionic robot police.

I'll add my standard suggestion for Vigilance:
When solo, Vigilance grants a damage bonus. About 20% seems fair, or whatever would bring the Defender near Corruptor level without accounting for Scourge.
When teaming, Vigilance grants an endurance discount based on number of members on the team. Topping out at about 35% seems fair. That's 5% discount per member beyond the first (the defender himself). -
Quote:Granted, a "miracle excuse" is in order a lot of the time just for the sake the rule of cool, but even Spidey often finds himself in trouble because there are no buildings around for him to swing from, and he has to resort to stupid solutions like making balloons or parachutes out of web.
Everyone forgets Moon Knight swinging from his invisible flying moon-plane (or whatever). For those who are concerned with the realism of swinging as a travel power, just pretend that we are all using invisible moon-planes if the idea of a line attaching to nothing bothers you so much.
Either that or start petitioning for the removal of the obiquitous invisible manhole covers, the ghost-harleys and the indoors parachuters too. Those aren't bothering me much but they seem kind of unnecessary. Punks just appear out of nowhere so why couldn't Enforcers or Brutes do it?
