Super-Strength; pretty much straight up, with Build Up instead of Rage, or a modified Rage.

Super-Strength Assault; with thrown objects like manhole covers added in
Martial Assault; with shuriken attacks - single target, cone, explosive shuriken
Blade Assault; dual blades with thrown knives added in for ranged attacks.
Stalker Secondaries
Dark Miasma; with Hide replacing the heal.
Kinetic Control; with Hide replacing the heal.
Poison; with Hide replacing the heal.
Etc. Etc. Ad nauseum.

So, I can create mobs that have both weapons and martial arts to fight me. Why can't I do the same? Countless movies have the characters that use martial arts and weapons at the same times. Why cant I? Would this break the game too much? Maybe we can create a MA/weapon AT? It combines both and doesn't specialize in either?

Throwing knives would be badass.
I agree with the throwing knives and shuriken. Shuriken jutsu is my hobby, and I feel that throwing knives do a lot more damage than the inherent power that natural origin gives you.

Well that day is here... and working from memory the suggestions for what geometries could be thrown included: bowler hats, hand fans, skulls (crystal, metallic or bone), spheres, cubes, bowling pins, small jack-o-lanterns, a few different models of knives, sai, playing cards, dice, hatchets, tomahawks, a few tech geometries, shuriken, boomerangs, letters or numbers or other symbols, etc.
In other words, a ranged set that plays a bit like dual blades and includes the extended concept customization that shields carried at release. Will this ever happen? Dunno. I imagine it'd be a ton of work.
Lastly, I'd suggested as its pair, the set should also be released with a "signature weapons" set that is a range of ranged and melee attacks as well as the bag of tricks one would usually expect from a blaster or dominator secondary. Should this proposed set also be combo based? Dunno. But tossing a signature "thrown weapon" model of your customization at your feet, only to get the glass shattering sound used with the valentines day nectar temp power and then be surround be a cloud of noxious gasses would be pretty darned cool. I'd also love to see the animations for this set have a touch of that acrobatic whirling dervish feel that dual blades provides in spades...
I'd love to see MA for Blasters as a secondary. Especially with a Pistols Akimbo set. I'll make a Grammaton Cleric Lara Croft yet, by golly!

Choking Powder - Ranged, single target hold, aoe defense debuff, no damage. You throw a pouch of choking powder at your foe, leaving them held. Enemies near the target will breath in some of the powder and have their defense lowered.
So, my idea isn't far fetched? I was afraid for a second there. I just think it would make the game look better with some other proliferations. My custom critters don't look bad when I give them katana MA. Or pistols MA.

I'd love a "Sword and Gun Domination" set. Sword in one hand, gun in the other, cycle between ranged and melee attacks: Awesome.

I can't understand the suggestions that Blasters get a full-on Melee set. Blasters are not Blast/Melee, they are Blast/Manipulation. With the exception of Fire Manipulation, Blaster Manipulation sets are tagged as support. Even Energy Melee, punch-heavy as it is, still has a control power, three buffs and a knockback power.
Unless we get some new ATs (and I'd actually like that) it's useful to remember what the one set unique to Blasters actually is like - Devices, with not a direct attack in sight. That's what Blaster self-support is. Porting over a Scrapper melee set is not an option without HEAVY tweaking.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.
