Are we a good match for an SG?

No-drama, no-politics player looking for a SuperGroup.

Me: Would like to know about your players before I join.
Not Me: Just wants bases.

You: Want to know about potential SG-mates before inviting.
Not You: Take anyone, no questions asked.

Me: Returning CoH player, thoughtful teammate, single character. Good with kids, wipes feet at door. Animals trust me.
Not Me: Pulls when impatient, won’t help if I don’t share the mission.

You: SG with mature players who help each other. If you have RL friends or family in the same SG, that’s a good sign. A website and forum are good but not essential.
Not You: netspeakers, game hackers, hardcore players who require SG members to make a certain type of AT.

Me: Willing to go into Circle caves to help friends.
Not Me: Drops out when you have a cave mission.

You: Have SG rules shorter than a page.
Not You: Have SG members who need rules longer than a page.

Me: Marvin the Martian.
Not Me: Pokemon.

You: Like players to add something to your SG.
Not You: Just want more players in your SG.

Me: Repeats the best bits of NPC dialog.
Not Me: Repeats gossip.

You: Enjoy a bit of light or medium RP without requiring it.
Not You: RP-heavy or RP-disdainful.

I'm on mostly in the daytime and late afternoon for a couple of hours at a time. While I sometimes join a longer TF, I’m not likely to Raid. Specific-duty SG’s aren’t the right match for me now; I’m a low-maintainance player looking to contribute through good spirit and play.

Awesome application, hope you find what you are looking for.

Easily one of the best 'looking for a SG' posts I have ever seen. I am in a very small SG (just me now) so probably not what you are looking for (damn dangling participle). If you just want someone to run missions with/hang out with, look me up on @Rogue Saint or @Clearshot.

What time zone are you in?

Heroes: Apogee | Bad Karma | Havocbolt | Novastar | Ranger | Wyvern |
Villains: Relic | Mad Havoc | Wreak Havoc |

Wow, that description matches my VG.

Drop me a line if you ever decide to go red! We're tiny but active and unlike the big groups I can personally vouch for each member.

Also, I'd look for groups that aren't actively recruiting, as they tend to be tight-knit.

On redside, Dragons of Ruin and Raiders of Ruin are always looking for new recruits! So just be on the lookout!!!

What's your VG name? I've been looking for a active VG for a while now. I'm part of a small but not so active group already, for convenience mostly; teleporters, etc. I wouldn't mind moving a few characters to a more active group, or start a new character if you're running a theme.

Well, I run Tokyo Screamplex Redside & Project Pegasus blueside.

We are small knit of folks, we love to level, goof off, & goof off

We do not have Website, why? Because we really do not advertise ourselves. We do have a Ventrilo Server if your interested in Voice BS'ing, which I will admit sometimes makes us forget we have chat box

My stance on RP is known for one side of it, to be honest I dont care if folks RP while Im leveling & laughing, what I dislike if they freak out, cuz I won't participate in it(I have been known once in a blue moon to do so)

Our VG & SG have 3 rules: 1. Have Fun. 2. SGmode till 30. 3. Don't be rude to someone in game, unless they provide a reason too.

We are very well known to bend over backwards to assist folks with a tough mish, Transfers, someonee stand next to them & help point & giggle at something, etc...

Curious about us, care to check us out, send a tell to @Darkmire. I am normally one 5pm-7 or 8pm Pacific Mon-Thursday. Fridays: 5pm-whenever(barring Im not out pretending I have a life) Sat: Whenever to Whenever(again I could potentially be drug away by friends to play in the real world) Sun: Whenever to 8pm.(Im usually home then, I hate being overtly silly a day before work)

We have 5 constant active members, with anywhere to 4-10 members that swing in & out(depending on what their life is doing & their lust to play CoH)

I'll vouch for these guys being some of the best out there.

I run Or Die Trying redside.

It was initially a PvP guild at CoV launch, using Items of Power and base raiding as the key differentiators between us and Fire's XPats. Our key differentiators got pulled out from under us by the dev team and the VG imploded. Most of us quit.

About a year and a half ago, I came back and rebooted the VG based on running really hard stuff - Relentless TFs, back to back respecs, duoing giant monsters, that sort of thing. Eventually we defeated everything we could think of on the highest difficulty settings we could manage. I went off to get married and buy a house, which took a lot more time and effort than I expected, and the VG imploded. Most of us quit.

So a couple months ago, I came back and rebooted the VG because a friend's WoW account got hacked. We were initially planning on grabbing CO, but open beta wasn't available and we were bored in the meantime. We got hooked, we've got a huge base, and we haven't gotten much beyond that. We're currently leveling a plethora of alts through missions, AE, and farming. We're looking forward to the enhanced challenge settings allowing us to find stuff that we actually can't defeat. Our tag line is "Another failed suicide attempt?!? On to the next challenge!".

If you're looking for a VG that won't suffer a total existence failure, I'd go with the Screamplex. Or Die Trying occasionally implodes. We're a lot of fun to play with though, and running on insanely high difficulty settings results in insanely high xp and infamy, which tends to burn off the frequent debt pretty quickly.

Good thoughts, thanks!

I'm Blueside for the foreseeable future, though I may try CoV later. I was surprised at how much I was affected by themes: apparently, I really would rather help an old lady cross the street than go rob a bank.

If I were more nefarious, I'd surely get in touch, Hart. Sounds like your play is challenging and fun.

JJ, thanks for your nice post, too. I'm on less in the evenings, but I'll see if we have a chance to overlap.

Now if someone would just make a VG full of geriatric bank robbers, you'd be all set! Hmm, I can see it now: the bank doors blow open, and in wheels the Scooter Looter, followed by her cohort the Walker Stalker!

Your request fits the bill for our SG "Hero Dawn" you might have seen us around or holding events with the Cape Radio from time to time.

We have a Halloween event coming up soon as a matter of fact.
There is a link to our SG website below, have a look see if you like.
