Mayhem Destructables

When i16 was released, many destructables items would scale to the level of the mission owner or a preset max limit. ie a Car would be lvl 5-10. This was good for lower level characters to work towards the badges. With the new patch these item are now set back to their max level.

Neither of these items were in either of the Patch Notes.

Was this an undocumented i16 QoL change, or was it orginally a bug and not noted in the new patch notes.

I liked the i16 version myself.

The last time I ran a Mayhem, most all of the destructables were gray to me... I would have to take a second look at it as I didn't really pay much attention.

Certainly odd though, if your assessment is correct.

In my example. if you were under level 9 a Car would be your level, if you were 10+, then the car would be 10.

Must have been a bug, they aren't supposed to scale. They used to scale once, which meant that it was just as difficult for a level 50 to smash a cardboard box as it was for a level 1. Fortunately they changed this before we all quit in a rage.

I don't remember them ever scaling on Live or in Beta. I do remember that Statesman once said that they were supposed to scale, but due to a bug in the code they never did and it turned out more fun that way anywho so they left it in.

They did scale very briefly after a patch on live, then it got changed back almost right away.

Hopefully the same will happen again.

Since I can remember, the destructibles in the AP and KR mission are bugged and will spawn at max level. However, Skyways and on Mayhem's destructibles seem to spawn correctly.
