Please remove the white flash when removing or adding to base storage.

For those of you that have very large bases with many decorations (usually thousands of desks stacked up to make walls) You probably notice each time you remove or take a item from a base that it causes ALL decorations in the base to flash; which in turn causes lag (extreme lag for slower computers)

Removing this flash could greatly improve base performance atleast when adding to or removing base items from storage.

Please note that if your base does not have alot of decorations in it that you probably never even notice a bit of lag whenever storage items are removed / added.

I find it hard to believe it isn't a bug to be honest.

Indeed. Especially problematic when your co-owner is an obsessive-compulsive organizer.

I swear sometimes the man is trying to give me a seizure.

I always assumed the flash to be something unintentional. If it is not then I fully agree, get rid of it.

It's always looked to me like the base is updating itself, checking every item in the base to find out if they have been moved or deleted or comparing their position with some kind of list. Something of that nature. During this process it's quite possible that each item is deleted and immediately replaced, which would cause that "flash". That is what it looks like to me, anyway.

Why this procedure is necessary every time we add or remove something from an enhancement storage bin or inspiration bin or salvage rack I can't understand.

I'm assuming, as well, that it's the continual update mentioned before. I'm not sure why it doesn't just take you into an editor and "apply" the changes when done in one fell swoop. (Given the costume, powers, and mission editors, actually, being able to "save" a base and work on it over time wouldn't be bad either.)

It is, afaik. The base runs through a re-draw.

Although why this is necessary for salvage? Noooo idea.
I really hate havinf the redraw during base edit too, although that at least has a reason. Id prefer to have an option for the game to ONLY render the room you are in FOR YOU at any time during editing. Given that on slower computers (laptop...) it makes base editing, at certain points, incredibyl incredibly slow.

It may or may not be that. I always assumed it was just a indicator to let you know when someone is taking alot of items out of your containers but we've always had some form of permissions for containers anyway. I was using sg ranks as permissions before they introduced the new separate container permissions.
