  1. Roderick is correct. They must be blocking certain types of traffic, otherwise I would expect the method you used (connect in browser, start game) to work. I have done this myself in several coffee shops and hotels.
  2. I have had exactly that experience.

Obviously I don't know the CoH code base but it seems to me that a version of this could be easily achieved (by the Devs) by enabling the individual, part-level "undo" buttons that you get when editing a costume at the tailor. At the moment you don't even get these when you load a new costume at initial character creation, possibly because your character has no baseline costume to revert to.

I guess what I'm suggesting is that whenever you click the "random" button, the current costume should become your baseline costume and if you prefer any of it's parts to the randomly generated ones then you should be able to simply click the "undo" button for that part to go back to the one you liked.
  3. I find that the best solution (for the mission the OP was referring to) is to split up, have everyone do the mission solo and team up again afterwards. Aarons tendency to get himself mowed down by the alpha strike when he runs off to engage a group alone is mitigated by the small size of the groups, there are less bosses, less AoEs and once you have a couple of allies boosting your firepower you can roll through the mission.

Thanks for digging up the link StarGeek. I was just about to type in all that stuff about upper/lower case again.
  5. Just a thought but why not make the Super Group roster screen for any Super Group available by clicking on it's name in the list?

There's certainly enough information on it to answer questions such as how many members the SG has and how active they are.
  6. Also, the second set of titles, available at level 25 I think, are origin themed.
  7. You might have a point there. I never even considered that it might just be for flavour. Guess I'm getting jaded.
  8. I have completed this task force four or five times, sometimes closing the fuel lines and sometimes not, without being able to work this out. Does anybody know what the benefit is of completing this mission objective?

Also, is there any benefit to destroying the generators in the first room on board the ship later in the mission?

I thought you had to do a hero/villain morality mission while already a hero/villain but I'm not 100% sure - what I need is an icon.
  10. We're seeing a lot of confusion on the forums recently about the difference between a hero/villain who has confirmed their alignment and one who has not, particularly when it comes to determining eligibility for Alignment Merits for completing SSA's.

To make things less confusing, how about having a different alignment icon for unconfirmed heroes and villains, keeping the ones that match the reward merit icons to indicate that the character is eligible for those rewards?
  11. That would be Paragon Wiki.

Specifically the Story Arcs section, links to the lists of arcs are at the bottom of the page.
  12. Once the first time you ever complete the episode then once every WEEK across all episodes after that I'm afraid.

See the Wiki for more details. I'm not sure I expressed it clearly and the Wiki says it better than I can.
  13. I'm at work right now so everything below is IIRC.
The file is still there. I think it is in a directory named with your logon id within the install directory.
If the file has somehow become read only or CoH can't create it then the order will reset every time you log on.
If you type your logon name in a caps then you will not see changes made when yot typed your logon name in lower case and vice-versa.
    Hope any of that helps.
  14. Rikti War Zone for sure.

They're also the main enemy group in the PI Safeguard mission but I have doubts over whether those would give credit towards that mission. - anyone know for sure?
  15. Talos for me, specifically the section around the Natural and Science Stores.
I run the tips in Kings though. Tip missions in Talos have a habit of sending me to the islands for any Cave maps.
  16. Just finished updating and testing all my computers and I'm afraid it's a "not experiencing this at all" from me. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

The only graphical glitch I have seen is a strange, colorful picture of a dance floor where the Pocket D teleport beacon used to be.
  17. I've only managed to spend 8 hours at home since I22 launched and I was sleeping for most of those.

I'll be updating on four computers of varying age and build tonight, and trying them out. If anything turns up I'll post it.
  18. If there are any minimum requirements below which the game will lock you out then they must be pretty low. Both my Acer Aspire One (3 year old entry level netbook) and my 2004 Shuttle will run the game (on absolute minimum settings for the netbook), although I was away yesterday and have not had a chance to try the Shuttle post I22.

What Melee Primary (or Tank Secondary) benefits the absolute least from global recharge?
Dual Blades practically forces you to take all the offensive powers to access the combos. You end up with so many offensive powers that it's very rare to have none available even with little or no global recharge. There are two cones and one AoE too, IIRC.

I remembered as I was typing that I think you said in another thread that you don't like weapon sets, sorry. Going to submit anyway. Other people, same question, etc.
  20. Just to expand on what's above so all the information is here if someone comes looking in the future.

You can 5-slot with Panacea as many times as you like subject to availability of powers and The Law of Fives, as above. You can only 6-slot it once because the Panacea: Chance for +Hit Points/Endurance proc can only be slotted once per character.

    Respec Failed?

A couple of things that have caused this is the past are trying to do a respec after levelling but before training and trying to do a respec while on a Task Force, AE missio or Oro arc. Don't know if any of those are still a problem.

That's so likely to be the case that "guess" is almost the wrong word.
  23. I have to admit that for the last couple of weeks I have been on the edge of starting an "Am I the only one not getting purple drops anymore?" thread.
Deep down I know I've just been unlucky but when you're in the midst of long "not-purple patch" you find yourself wondering if the game has changed.
I'll just keep plugging away and hopefully the purples will return.

You very rarely see CoH boxes reduced enough over here to make them worthwhile buying just for the month anyway.

    Please Help!

I'd like to echo what others have been saying about using all three hotbars plus additional floating bars and also keeping similar things in same places for every character - both these help a lot.

I have a mouse with two programmable thumb buttons. One is set to ALT and the other to CTRL. This makes using powers on the second and third hotbars so much easier.
