Depends, I believe, on what codes you have previously applied to your account. If you have already applied a city of villains code, or a CoV:CE code to your account, you cannot apply them again. But I'm not 100% on the specifics.

Heh, I found a bunch of copies at a Zellers a couple years back. I bought six, thinking "sweet! 6 months of game time for $30!" My sister, coincidentally bought a few for me, thinking the same thing.
I wound up using one on my account, one on my wife's, a couple for to create SG-invite-accounts, and gave a few codes away.
I can't say for certain that you'd still be able to apply it, now with Freedom, but I'd imagine you could. I found an Architect Edition at Best Buy for $10, and applied that, but I just cannot recall if it was before or after Freedom's launch.
Edit: It was a few weeks before Freedom launched

Well I never applied this box to my account or any box but I did start my account originally with the Good VS Evil edition. My account runs out next week so I guess I'll find out then plus it was only $5 so not like that big a loss if it doesn't work.

This could also mean you are trying to add a US code to a EU install or a EU code to a US install - yes they are still different.

You very rarely see CoH boxes reduced enough over here to make them worthwhile buying just for the month anyway.

I've seen a few GvE editions in Game at £1.99-£4.99 - although I've also seen CoH DVD editions at £30 - wonder why that doesn't sell

OK I was walking threw Zellers today and what catches my eye none other then a city of villains box set for $4.99. It came with a cool Manti action figure and was just hoping this would get my a free month game time. Will this serial code I have give me a month vip or has something with the boxed sets changed since freedom release?
