What is the benefit of closing the fuel lines in the first mission of the Sutter Task Force?
I haven't been able to determine a benefit other than giving the player clicking the glowies a very small inf bonus.
Then again, I've yet to see any benefit from any of the optional objectives in the Sutter TF.

Triumph: White Succubus: 50 Ill/Emp/PF Snow Globe: 50 Ice/FF/Ice Strobe: 50 PB Shi Otomi: 50 Ninja/Ninjistu/GW Stalker My other characters
I think the benefit is to allow the player to immerse him or herself into the story a little bit more than otherwise. I am continually reminded that I didn't actually start playing this game to have a bazillion inf, or to make my hero as incredible as possible, but to pretend to be the character trying to make a difference in whatever way the powers that be seem fit to ask of him. (or her)
In all seriousness, the pursuit of better IOs has distracted me and many other players from that - but that's an entirely different topic.

Badges, mostly. The type of badge that once most players get it, it's ignored unless the TF was formed specifically to get them.

Edit:
The only badge in the Sutter TF is Land, Sea & Air. There are opportunities for defeating Failed Experiments, but that is only because they are in the TF, not because they are an optional objective. All the Praetorian bots are IDF, so they don't even count for the praetorian clockwork badge.

Each fuel line grabbed grants the 'grabber' a small inspiration.
The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

I have completed this task force four or five times, sometimes closing the fuel lines and sometimes not, without being able to work this out. Does anybody know what the benefit is of completing this mission objective?
Also, is there any benefit to destroying the generators in the first room on board the ship later in the mission?
