I like sparky! (Voltaic Sentinel) It goes all nuts with the zap, zap (-Recovery and -End on the target). Currently have it slotted with a full set of Blood Mandate.
I have an Elec/Nrg that I like and she is getting there, slowly, with the IOs to help boost her up a bit. For draining mobs->Aim, Power Boost, Ball Lightning, and Short Circuit. Then hit the bosses with the telsa cage and finish 'em off. -
I run CoD all of the time on my Kat/DA. The wander effect from OG does not usually create a problem because most of the time the minions and LTs do not remain standing for too long. Sure on some large mobs they may wander but then there are some to take their place.

We ran a Synapse and it went really well. The time went a bit long due to the fact that one of the defeat all missions would not end so we had to wait on a GM for about 20 minutes. Much congrats were handed out and players dinged various levels.
Oh and we started the night helping out another small group take on Babbage and then took him on again at the end. So a lot of reward merits.

Looked at the build finally. Why did you go for Resistance vs Defense? Defense will save a lot of incoming hurt. A LOT.

I slot my DR in the way that I saw on a couple of other builds posted in the forum:
Touch of Nictus (all but Chance for Negative Energy Damage)
Theft of Essence Chance for +Endurance -
True but I am going to assume that there will be times when the firing of them will be such that I will actually have Dull Pain down for a few seconds. Truthfully once the toon is IO'd out it should not make much of a difference. I am still trying to tweak a bit for more defense, still really bummed about having Vengeance selected by accident.

My Global Recharge on the build is sitting at 57.5% atm. To Hit is @ 17%. Accuracy is 18%. Damage @ 15%.
Dull Pain is @ Recharge of 141.2s without Hasten and 110.8s with Hasten. Since the duration is 120s I just about have perma DP.
And now I admit that I had Vengeance enabled by default when posting the numbers the other day. D'oh! -

DPBSITF = Damage Per Broadsword in The Face.
As to the OP, the first AV I did solo on my Kat/DA was Infernal and that was on a bad build that had a mixture of SOs and IOs with maybe one or two set bonuses. -
I was on a PUG on Virtue recently and while I have not had the room to fit the leadership pool in my build yet, 3 others had and that was still all kinds of awesome.

Hmmm....
I realise that I do not have my entire build posted here (and, as noted, it is a Work In Progress) but changing it out to 3 Recharge IOs and a LotG 7.5% Rech does not do a lot for the build.
Fire, Cold are @ 42.9%
Melee is at 71.5% with a single parry
AoE is at 45.7%
MoG recharges every 107.2 seconds with a Res of 112.2% without hasten activated
Hasten fires off every about every 154s (recharge is 148.4s while activated, 192.9 when the power does not impact the recharge)
In Mids with Hasten activated MoG recharges every 81.7s
Going with Claws' idea of 3 recharge and a LotG:
Fire Cold Defense are @ 41.6
AoE is @ 43.2
Melee is @ 70.9 with a single parry
MoG without Hasten is @ 93.5s
MoG with Hasten is 73.5s
Resistance is at +71.3%
Now the Psionic resist is tiny and only brings me up to 4.3% resistance (on top of the 35.4% Defense) so I could swap that out for a LotG +Recharge which would give me 79.7s with Hasten up and 103.8 without. Hasten itself goes to 186.9 without it being activated and 144.8 with it activated.
Hasten is currently slotted with two 50 Rech IOs.
Even removing the slot and placing it on Hasten with another Rech IO does not have a huge impact (180.7 rech without and 141s with on Hasten and MoG goes to 107.2 without Hasten on and 81.7 with).
Now this is also a concept build and I did not take any of the Epic Pool powers. -
In Mids I have BS/Regen in the works and have decided to go with a full set of Aegis in MoG. Between the global recharge bonuses from sets and Hasten, it should be available about every 82-84 seconds.
The tough part is going to be holding off until GR launches to create the toon. -
Proud owner of an Asus G73 that I picked up for $1200 and enjoy it a lot. The big minus is that it is very heavy and I am still trying to find a carrying case that I like for it.

it's learning curve can be steep.
I took the time to put that there due to the fact that it is commonly misused and I hope that others will see it. That said, I like the structure and the consistency in the layout and formatting. Having exactly one storm defender myself (currently sitting at 30) I look forward to the rest of the guide. Thank you for taking the time to write it.

Just wanted to say that the Theft of Essence proc slotted there was some of the best advice I received, made a huge difference. I sometimes hit it just to hopefully get a bit more on the blue bar.
Also ditto on taking it earlier via respec if you drop down to run TFs or whatever. -
Very timely as I have decided that this is going to be one of my upcoming combos as well. Looking forward to see what others come up with and if I have anything different I will post.

Hiya and welcome to CoX!
When I first started I decided to go the scrapper route because I like being in the middle of the action. I ended up picking a combo that was very endurance hungry and quickly learned about the game mechanics because of the choice.
Read through the various sections and be sure to check out the Player Guides and then experiment.

Virtue is where I have most of my toons and I will probably make a Fire/Rad there as well, probably after GR releases.

I came up with this a bit ago and have not checked out other builds yet. This does reflect a couple of accolades I normally pick up on toons and a single DA. Concerns are that DA has a low accuracy and that a small purp would be needed before tougher fights. Not sure how she would do in +3x4 and above.
Code:Choices may seem odd but it is only because I have not gone to 50 with her yet. This is a pre-respec build for sure.
